It's conveniently located near Ben Thanh market, but compared to other properties closed by, the hotel condition is pretty bad. The faucet is leaking water to the floor. The floor carpet is dirty. Also, there was a guy smoking on the hall way.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay at the Uptown Hotel after a 24 hour flight. The location is convenient to shopping and eating. The room is very clean, small but adequate for sleeping, comfortable beds and amazing pillows. Great air conditioning! The shower had some leaking issues. The toilet had little pressure. The restaurant was not open, but we ate in town. The staff was very helpful and kind.

We were given the room right above the lobby and street facing. It was extremely noisy. Having a family with young kids, the early morning karaoke guy and late party-goers really dampened the stay. The morning buffet was good. Lots of selections. It is a great location though.

Cons: Both rooms we booked had a weird smell (like wet clothes, the front desk workers are not super friendly (look like they just want to go home). Very LOUD at night and morning since its a small hotel on a busy street. You will be awaken early in the morning and hear lots of noise at night as well. Small hotel, no lobby. The lobby is connected to their breakfast room. Breakfast was nothing spectacular either, we went first day and never returned. The price point is in the middle. Next time I'd rather pay for a cheaper hotel (a friend stayed at one cheaper and had less complaints) or pay more and stay at the sheraton down the road. Wouldn't come back here.

Beautiful trendy hotel in the heart of district 1 walking distance from Ben Than market and majority of the sights. My room was very nice, clean, comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast is nice and offered different options for different travellers, staff speaks English to a degree that you would understand one another. Like the place. Only thing about the room was there was no windows but it said in the information for some rooms. Staff was great and friendly. Location is perfect for all the local spot, mall a block away. The main square is a few blocks away with the opera house and coffee shop and a river down the road. Definitely would return again:

The staffs is so rude; The front staffs watch out every single step when we’ve wait our taxi after we checking. It seems you can use any stuffs like plate or glass. For me if you pay for this price; you should go somewhere better services.

Cons: The showers have a glass partition that covers only 1/4 of the shower so all the water runs out to the floor. Thin walls so you can hear drawers and closets open and close in other rooms. Pros: 5 stars to the staff as they’re all friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was decent with Vietnamese and Continental menu choices. Hotel walking distance to Ben Thanh market and City Center.

The property was located in a very busy area. Lots of markets and places to eat. The hotel itself is clean but the constants banging and drilling from renovations next door was very annoying. The walls are very thin. Some rooms has sewage smells lingering on and off. Overall the hotel was a good stay cause of the friendly staff.

I was a bit concerned when I book this hotel as some of the previous reviews weren’t very good and I book it for location. However the hotel was good value, staff excellent , linen fresh and clean and breakfast although not brilliant, was still very good.
