The in room jacuzzi, sadly, was not in service. Would have used it after a long drive to relax. Very comfortable bed and bedding in king room for 2. Manager Sophia is so hospitable and kind! Check in easy. She also fixed an overcharge issue with Expedia quickly. Breakfast tasty and fun as guests gather between 8am-9am and eat together, chat. Excellent coffee. Will definitely stay in this inn again.

Highly enjoyed our stay at Hargrave House! Parking was easy and the innkeeper, Sophia, was so friendly and genuinely wants to make you feel like you’re staying with a friend or family member. Our room was impeccably clean and stocked well. The bed was SO comfortable, I looked forward to going to sleep every night! The location was excellent and it’s easy to walk anywhere in Doylestown from this spot. We didn’t need to use our car at all. For being right on the main drag of Doylestown, we found our room was quiet and was easy to make dark with the provided shades. Breakfast was simple, but delicious, and I loved that there were always snacks available! Definitely recommend and will be staying here again if we find ourselves in Doylestown in the future!

We got access through a phone instruction. The room assigned had an overpowering door of air freshener. When called the manager allowed us to move to another room. Hot tub out of order. When asked at breakfast if there was anything else we wanted, we did not expect that we had to request our room to be made up. This lead to a confrontation on the street where the manager pointed out that we were at fault for not knowing we need to ask for this. Manager was wanting in customer relations.

It is a lovely quaint B&B in a fabulous little town (Doylestown, Pa) with wonderful management and great breakfast. Our room was very nice sized and the bed comfortable (I would have preferred a little harder bed but that is quite subjective, I know). The town is very safe and walkable. Local museum (Mercer) is fascinating and there are others but didn't make it to them. Finding the parking lot is a little challenging but Sophia (the manager) will walk you through it as you approach the area if needed. Lots of restaurants and bars on State St and outdoor seating galore. Quite a hopping place yet simultaneously really laid-back.

We’ve stayed in a few places in the area in the past. This is our second time coming here and we will keep coming back. Sophia can’t do enough for you if you need her she’s there she’s the best. The kitchen is ready if u want a snack there’s yogurt,fruit,cookies,coffee and so on if you get the munchies at any time. It’s a Bed and Breakfast so she will make breakfast so you can start your day. Hargrave House is also at a Great walking Location for stores and restaurants and Hargrave House has the best parking for your stay. We love it there ❤️

The place has the feel of being managed "remotely." It doesn't feel like a real B&B. My husband and I stayed two nights but were not allowed to have housekeeping come into the room the day after we arrived (we were told we would have to stay longer than just two nights). Towels were dropped off when we needed them by a woman named Sofia. She offered too to drop by and pick up our trash. The whole experience just seemed too much like a "do it yourself" operation--right from check in. No central desk, no greeting. Whoever owns the place clearly wants to do things on the cheap. The place was smallish, but clean. Sofia prepared oatmeal for my husband for breakfast one day. (I began to wonder if Sofia did the housekeeping as well? Maybe one person doing everything? She did seem to be a hard worker.) If you're looking for a quaint B&B with an "old-fashioned inn" kind of feel, stay someplace else. Hargrave sufficed for two nights, but we wouldn't recommend it, nor would we return.

We were very happy at this B&B. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The shower was great. The owner, Sophia was very nice and friendly. She also made us a delicious breakfast. We will definitely return to this B&B.

Sofia is a lovely and charming hostess. She was great and everything was clean. Everything needed was there in the room, and it was all in order. I knocked one star off (and that was not an easy decision) because although the front building was built in 1814, the interior did not really have the character of such a historic property. With the exception of the breakfast room. So anyone expecting a historic B&B experience with parlors, fireplaces, period furniture, lace curtains, and such, might be a bit disappointed. Not to say it isn’t a good place to stay.

10 out of 10 for Hargrave House! It was an excellent location, within walking distance to everything downtown. Our room was adorable, quaint, but with all the modern amenities. And our hostess Sophia was an angel! I highly recommend it.

LOVED this property. We were there on a blazing hot pair of days. Sofia cooled the room for us before we arrived. It couldn’t have been more comfortable. The location is smack in the middle of town, so totally convenient for restaurants and shopping, and, on a day with more normal temps, walking. The only thing to be aware of is that the floors (or walls?) are not entirely soundproof, so we could hear people walking around. We’re apartment dwellers so it didn’t bother us. The best part is Sofia, a wicked smart, interesting person with a big heart and a wise head. I would go back for sure - in fact we’re planning to in a few months.

Sofia is a very attentive caretaker. She answered every question I had and was very kind. The place is in a wonderful location and my room was very nice. I plan to return to this property and recommend it to others. This is a great place.

Sofia is a great host who was very attentive. The bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on and I usually find it hard to like a bed that is not my own. Would recommend to others

The place has the feel of being managed "remotely." It doesn't feel like a real B&B. My husband and I stayed two nights but were not allowed to have housekeeping come into the room the day after we arrived (we were told we would have to stay longer than just two nights). Towels were dropped off when we needed them by a woman named Sofia. She offered too to drop by and pick up our trash. The whole experience just seemed too much like a "do it yourself" operation--right from check in. No central desk, no greeting. Whoever owns the place clearly wants to do things on the cheap. The place was smallish, but clean. Sofia prepared oatmeal for my husband for breakfast one day. (I began to wonder if Sofia did the housekeeping as well? Maybe one person doing everything? She did seem to be a hard worker.) If you're looking for a quaint B&B with an "old-fashioned inn" kind of feel, stay someplace else. Hargrave sufficed for two nights, but we wouldn't recommend it, nor would we return.

Highly enjoyed our stay at Hargrave House! Parking was easy and the innkeeper, Sophia, was so friendly and genuinely wants to make you feel like you’re staying with a friend or family member. Our room was impeccably clean and stocked well. The bed was SO comfortable, I looked forward to going to sleep every night! The location was excellent and it’s easy to walk anywhere in Doylestown from this spot. We didn’t need to use our car at all. For being right on the main drag of Doylestown, we found our room was quiet and was easy to make dark with the provided shades. Breakfast was simple, but delicious, and I loved that there were always snacks available! Definitely recommend and will be staying here again if we find ourselves in Doylestown in the future!

The room was nice, but very weird that door was left open for us when we arrived, no face to face with anyone. Next morning we never received breakfast that we paid for ( bed and breakfast) a worker on the property next door was nice enough to give us ideas. The owner ?? Called to say sorry miscommunication on times, never offered another option and stated she was not on property so could not help us. Then she all of a sudden showed up later and started hassling the worker next door who was the only face to face contact we had - and had nothing to do with hargraves house. Thank you to him for making it a pleasant morning. The owner??? Was mean, defensive and just plain rude to us!

We got access through a phone instruction. The room assigned had an overpowering door of air freshener. When called the manager allowed us to move to another room. Hot tub out of order. When asked at breakfast if there was anything else we wanted, we did not expect that we had to request our room to be made up. This lead to a confrontation on the street where the manager pointed out that we were at fault for not knowing we need to ask for this. Manager was wanting in customer relations.

10 out of 10 for Hargrave House! It was an excellent location, within walking distance to everything downtown. Our room was adorable, quaint, but with all the modern amenities. And our hostess Sophia was an angel! I highly recommend it.

Spent our anniversary weekend at this very nice B and B. The hostess, Sophia, was pleasant and made our stay especially impressive. Her breakfast was very good! Our room was large and clean and quietly cooled. Bed was most comfortable!

It is a lovely quaint B&B in a fabulous little town (Doylestown, Pa) with wonderful management and great breakfast. Our room was very nice sized and the bed comfortable (I would have preferred a little harder bed but that is quite subjective, I know). The town is very safe and walkable. Local museum (Mercer) is fascinating and there are others but didn't make it to them. Finding the parking lot is a little challenging but Sophia (the manager) will walk you through it as you approach the area if needed. Lots of restaurants and bars on State St and outdoor seating galore. Quite a hopping place yet simultaneously really laid-back.

The owner, Sophia, is wonderful. She was very warm, helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The breakfast was very good. She gave a choice of options. It is located in the middle of downtown Doylestown, where just outside your door are delicious restaurants and beautiful shops a few steps away.

We were very happy at this B&B. The room was cozy, comfortable and clean. The shower was great. The owner, Sophia was very nice and friendly. She also made us a delicious breakfast. We will definitely return to this B&B.

We stayed here while visiting our family in Doylestown. We were upgraded to a larger room which was perfect for our 4 night stay. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants, a movie theater, cute shops and museums that are all walkable! The only negative thing is that there is no elevator. The owner is super sweet and helped take our luggage upstairs and provided us with her phone number.
