Clean establishment and friendly staff. Nice breakfast options. Not complaints just FYI: the pool is small and not very deep, good for smaller kids. No good place to potty the dog. Beds were comfortable but double size is really too small for two people (queens would be better). No additional seating in room except office chair. Again, overall was very nice and these are not reasons we wouldn't stay again. Well maybe the double beds.

This motel serves it’s purpose if you need to be in Los Gatos. But the gym is very limited, the room is small and outdated, the pool is really small too! I wouldn’t recommend it unless you are only staying one or max two nights.

There is a restaurant at the entrance of the property and finding parking at night when the restaurant is open is horrible. Parking spaces are small as well. Hotel needs to enforce parking to stop restaurant customers from parking in hotel guest parking only spots. If you do decide to stay here, request for a room at the other end by the swimming pool. Parking is small and very very limited.

I loved the place. Very nice big bathtub, great space in the executive suite. Though the roomsvery close to the restaurant get very noisy during dinner time amd its difficult parking.

Everything is real good, but there is one big problem! There is a restaurant next door and patrons use the hotel parking lot. I stayed 5 nights. Twice, I was unable to park. The management shrugged their shoulders. No help. 3 stars.

If you are expecting a mediocre motel, you will be happy. If you are expecting more, you will not. The room looked dark and worn down, and smelled as though it had been recently cleaned with pet urine/feces removal product. When using the bathroom sink, I lost 90% of the water pressure when someone next door used their faucet. I know that's what it was, because I could *hear* that someone next door was using their faucet. I could also hear every time someone walked upstairs. The area around the hotel is not especially nice, the pool area was uninviting. On the bright side, the lobby was fine, and the breakfast was better than I expected. The bed was average for comfort, but the pillows were very nice. The air conditioner worked well. All in all, WAY overpriced, and I would not recommend staying here.

The location is great yet the hotel is pet friendly which is great yet they need to clean the rooms to ensure their rooms are cleaned well enough for non-pet occupants. Had to request another room due to smell of wet dog on carpet. Recommend when booking to make sure you ask for a non-pet room. Even after switching rooms, the cleanliness was still poor- dirty carpet, poor air heating/conditioner unit and moldy bathroom.

The property is very nice and yes I will stay there again. However, my first day, I had no A/C nor heating. When I got there all the windows to my room were open but it was still very warm in my room. It ends up that my heating and A/C needed maintenance. It would have been proper to have let me know before I checked in and given me the option to stay somewhere else. Also no apology nor consession offered - just, the maintenance man won't be in until the morning. In the mornings when I took my shower, the water pressure would drop down to a drip - then come back on 30 seconds later. It did that several times while taking my shower.

You pay for a bed and a shower. Well I stayed there because it was close to my doctor appointment. 9:00 am jumped in the shower, shower would not get warm enough then it totally stopped. Absolutely no water. 3 minutes later it starts again. Then 2 minutes in it stops. This happened 4 times, so I went to my appt half showered and unhappy about my experience. I was told someone would follow up, but nothing.

Stayed here while visiting family for the holidays. Super close to the freeway, great location to downtown Los Gatos. I walked to town with no problem. Hotel is good. Great bedding, daily room service cleaning when requested, we did have interesting. Text messages from the hotel Telling us that the water would be turned off and that they would also be coming in to do things in our room. The grammar for the messages sent out was poor and made things seem less professional. Other than that, it was a good hotel and very decent for the price. I will say that the rooms have very thin walls. Right next to us was two guys talking politics laid into the night and I had to put my earplugs in because you could hear them through the walls.

Room was clean; however, outdated. The shower leaked water, not enough room on shelf to place bathroom products, and no bar handle to hold onto, especially on a slippery surface. The bathroom outlet did not allow me to plug my dryer into the bathroom outlet. Also, no outlets to charge electronics.

Overall, the hotel was nice, clean, and in a great location. However, our stay ended up being a bit rough because we barely got any sleep. Our room was right next to the lobby’s connecting door, so every time someone went in or out, it was loud and made the bed and window next to it shake. On top of that, the guests above us were arguing and stomping around most of the night. I know that part isn’t the hotel’s fault, but with both things combined, it made it really hard to rest. Otherwise, the property itself was well maintained and the staff were friendly. Would come back.

I arrived to the hotel after a 3+ hour drive ready to check in since my wife and I were eager to relax. We were met with an unfriendly manager who stated that she was going to charge us a fee since we arrived 30 minutes before check in time. I explained that I never experienced a hotel charging me for arriving 30 minutes prior to check in. She bluntly replied “do you want to check in early or not?” My wife and I are constantly in the area for Stanford appointments and have never been charged for wanting to check in early. After we checked in, the hotel room had uncomfortable pillows, the AC unit was extremely loud and the WiFi was spotty which made the tv unable to connect. Overall, our experience at the hotel wasn’t the best and we will not be staying here again.

Bed was comfortable, and I liked having an overhead fan in the room. Checked in at 3:15 and was told by one of the front desk employees that “it’s a misconception that rooms have to be ready at 3pm”(which is check in time). In all my years I have never been told that by an employee at a hotel I’m checking in to. This came off as VERY rude and passive aggressive. My attitude was about to take a turn for the worse after she said that, however the gentleman working with her went above and beyond to go check on the room itself to make sure it was ready for me. It was. Upon entry into the room it was 81 degrees inside and musty (the carpet needs to go). I had to find housekeeping to help me adjust the thermostat in the room as it wasn’t very user friendly. The A/C worked well and brought that temp down to where I set it at. 62!Thank goodness!

The staff at Best Western The Inn of Los Gatos are all wonderful. A special call out to Perla at the front desk and Marta who looked after breakfast. Perla had a "can do" attitude and was always ready to help ensure our stay was perfect. And Marta made sure all the guests started their days with a fabulous breakfast. Her guacamole was scrumptious! The hotel is ideally located. It's in a quiet area yet very close to the highway and walking distance to fantastic dining options (ASA, Dar, etc.) Shopping is nearby too, with Old Town a short walk away. The hotel is super clean. Rooms are a bit small but have everything you need. It's the staff that really make the hotel exceptional; they are amazing!

Booked early check in, confirmed by hotel, then later cancelled by hotel. Toilet ran all night, shower head not affixed properly, pipes moved when trying to adjust it. Slow check in, even though I completed everything ahead of my arrival, including my CC for incidentals. Would not recommend.

My husband and I checked in this month of July in the afternoon. I requested an additional blanket for the room. The desk man told me no! What was that all about? I’m an older women with medical issues. I was pretty stunned and did not fuss. He told me they didn’t have any! We stay at full service hotels for a reason. We like the security and assistance they can provide when we need to travel.

The room coffee maker and refrigerator didn’t work so I let staff know, but they did not fix the problem right away; I even took the coffeemaker to the reception, but reception was not attentive. I later found out (toward end of my stay) from the maid that the refrigerator was not plugged in. Breakfast did not taste good. Not staying here again.

Excellent, kind and helpful staff. Everything works! Room had a safe and a fridge. Very good thermostat controlled AC!! Breakfast was simple but plentiful with hot and cold choices. (Always Eggs. Bacon and waffles one day, French toast and sausage the next) Location was within a mile of shopping on a beautiful street with fun shops and cafes. It was 1 .5 miles from Vasona Park with a lake and paddle boats. I would def stay here again. A suggestion would be to place printed instructions as to how to work the two remote system for the tv.

This property is a gem. Clean, quiet and breakfast was included. I loved that the rooms have a fan above the bed to move the air instead of using the ac while we slept. 20 min drive to the beach or to downtown Sj. The area is safe and the restaurants on University Ave were in walking distance for us - 15 minutes, flat terrain, on a sidewalk.

We needed a place close to the Mountain Winery for overnight.This place is very nice and would recommend it to others! Breakfast was good with several options. Just could use a few more tables. 3 or 4 isn't enough if the hotel is well booked, only complaint! Very clean!

The breakfasts were very good and varied every day. Loved the fresh fruit options daily. The breakfast seating was less than optimal, small and crowded especially on weekends people sometimes had to stand and wait for seating to open up. Also we were in a room with a small shower. I am short and felt that a wand shower head would have been helpful.

Plus: Nice area and comf beds. Minus: we came 20 min before check in and we had to wait or pay extra to check in. Mini pool. Breakfast was great with fresh berries, fruits and salsa but big disappointment since those who ate also filled their take away boxes and the staff did not refill at 8am. Arrogant receptionist.
