I was very surprised to learn that the restaurant was closed at weekends. I have never experienced that in almost 20 years of travelling. I was away to Lucerne all day and returned to the hotel very tired and hungry. Everything else was excellent. Location was great for the airport and city centre. Staff were great, breakfast was excellent. The rooms wete spacious and very clean. House keeping was very good too. I thought the spa facility chargeable at 90 franks for 90 minutes was way too expensive, that put me off even trying it. Im a member of a 5 🌟 hotel spa facility and I'm £70 for the month. Overall a great place to stay, I'd recommend the restaurant to be open at the weekends, that's all 🙏

Room was comfortable and clean but access from the underground car park to my room on 4th floor was tedious requiring the use of two separate lifts at opposite ends of the building. Breakfast at 25SFr was considered to be very expensive and was not taken.

Vi ble møtt av en veldig hyggelig betjening som gjorde alt for at vi skulle føle oss vel; tidlig innsjekk, til stede uten å mase og til og med på plass med gave til bursdagsbarnet. Squeaky clean room and facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. I would advise travelers to request a room facing the front of the building. I had a room facing the back where trains go by frequently. The hotel has excellent windows which block out most of the noise but not all of it. Breakfast was good but pricey, about $32/each. There is no airport shuttle but I was able to catch a bus about 200 meters away that went directly to the airport in about 10 minutes

Not the best experience. Couple of important notes 1. 1000m and downstairs thru a tunnel and up a street to arrive. Depends on train platform how far your walk will be 2. SPA exists - not listed as an extra but is in fact $100 for a 1.5hr visit 3. Dinner quite expensive and very average, over cookies veal chf 44 4. Building not very soundproof - footsteps in room above woke me so many times 5. Added photos to show mid project touchups in my room (really unusual) 6. If not clear in booking, know this is an apt building and hotel….gym appears to be shared

We had aroom in the 2nd bulding . There's construction area adjacent so it was noisy early in the morning. Breakfast was varied. Parking costs 20 chf per night. No a/c in the room, just fan. There's supermarkets and restaurants within few minutes of walking

A very nice stay here, the staff were very helpful. The hotel is split into two buildings and the signage isn't immediately obvious as to where you need to go. We got lost and ended up back in reception somehow! We did find our room and when we did this was very nice, spacious clean and modern with lots of amenities. They had an onsite gym which again i followed signs to and then they stopped. Had to ask at reception and once explained in the other building and down again, i could find it. Small but modern and well kept equipment with plenty of towels and water. Location is 2 mins from train station and 15 mins from zurich. If you want a cheaper stay in zurich that has frequent trains and isn't far from the center then this hotel is ideal. Overall as i said a very good stay, I would recommend either a little note at check in saying exactly how to get to various parts of the hotel (facilities), but other than that a brilliant stay and would come back for sure.

Location is fantastic. Staff is friendly. Breakfast was a nice mix of American and Swiss style. Unfortunately, our room was not properly clean, we found many stains and hair. After our complaint, they came to clean the room, and we were offered an option of another room. I only wish we said yes, but we already got unpacked and therefor declined the offer. After two nights we started experiencing stomach flu symptoms (throwing up, diarrhea and no appetite for days). We were not able to enjoy the rest of our stay, and we missed everything we were planning to do. We didn't get better until the end of our vacation.

Wonderful hotel. Room was a lot larger than we were expecting. There was heaps of storage space to help with keeping the floor clear. Room was very clean and comfortable. We checked in quite late, however were met by very pleasant check in staff. We only stayed the one night, but would very happily have stayed longer

Room was very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and helpful and the restuarant associated with the hotel had excellent food. Only negative is that the freight trains run all evening and you will hear them on that side of the building. We used white noise generator to help sleep through the night.

The room was modern and spacious. However, one of the bed (we had 4 people room) did not have the lamp or outlet to recharge the phone. We also noticed that the hair dryer did not work. Overall, the room was clean, but we will not stay here again.

Amazing hotel, on the train station, 15 minutes from Zurich. Nice spacious rooms, with blackout water and coffee. Strange check-in where your passport checked more precisely than in the airport that makes check-in time quite inconvenient

We stayed in one of the rooms with four single beds and a pull-out couch, which was ideal for our family of 5. The room was in top condition, all appliances very new, with a very nice bathroom and plenty of storage space. The windows are triple-glazed, so while you could faintly hear the trains, it was really not an issue regarding sleep (the hotel is literally next to the very convenient Kloten train station). The people at the reception were very friendly and courteous, and very helpful. Couldn't ask for a better stay!

Wonderfully designed room. The train directly behind the hotel is very loud so can not leave the windows open for air flow at night & there is no AC. Other than that, the hotel is well designed and nicely updated.

Nice place but there is no air in the rooms and gets hot over night in the summer. If you open windows became noisy. Also pillows is a major concern because there are very soft and uncomfortable.

Stayed for three nights. Front desk staff is magnificent service! Hot breakfast was worth it! Had it everyday. It filled us up before heading to a fun journey. Staff was kind and friendly. Water and coffee provided in the lobby which made it convenient to have before and after the trip. Train to Zurich HB is across the hotel via a tunnel. Enjoyed my stay in this hotel.

Overall stay was fine, but when checking out the lady was really rude and tried to charge us for services we didn’t use. After arguing with her she took them off. Multiple people told me my 3 yr old was free to eat breakfast but when we checked out she charged us for breakfast and told me they did charge a fee for kids. I honestly think she was just trying to get more money out of us. Their policy clearly states under 6 yrs old eats free. She also made a comment that I took too much food. It’s a buffet, I only filled one plate. So rude.

Found the quilt has a blood stain. I told the front desk and they did changed for me, But when I came back to the room at night, the window was opened and it was so cold. I have feedback to the front desk, they didn't think is a major issue. I am very disappointed with the service.

It\'s a very large property as there is a hotel wing and a lodge wing. It can get confusing as the 5th floor and 3rd floor are on the same level. The room is large and clean. Decor is contemporary. This "airport hotel" is not really close to the airport, but there is a bus #731 at the end of the hotel block which takes about 10 minutes to get to the Zurich Airport.

Great location just 10 minutes from the airport. Railway station next door for easy access to central Zurich. Friendly welcome every morning from staff and easy, quick check in. The hotel is across two, linked, buildings. One is a normal hotel, the other has studios in. I was in a studio. The room was clean & spacious. The little kitchen area has a hob, microwave combi oven/grill, fridge, sink and dishwasher if you don’t want to do any washing up by hand. Breakfast is served in the main hotel. Plenty of supermarkets in the immediate area for any groceries and a few places to eat/drink. I had a great stay and would definitely stay here again if I visit Zurich.

This property was conveniently located near ZHR airport (approx. 10 min. by taxi) and the Kloten train station (less than a 5 min. walk). I imagine caters more to business travelers than tourists. Hence, the surrounding neighborhood wasn't exactly what you would call picturesque. The view from the rear of the hotel inside its restaurant was of railroad tracks and an old industrial building. Nonetheless, the hotel itself, its restaurant, its staff, and its other amenities, along with its spacious modernly furnished rooms provided a most comfortable and enjoyable stay for me and my wife. If you don't want to pay for more expensive hotels in Zurich's city center and don't mind taking a 15 min. train ride or a 20 min. taxi to get there, then I would highly recommend Hotel Allegra Lodge.

Hotel Allegra is in Kloten, about a half hour outside the city. A metro station is a 5 minute walk which we found very convenient. Restaurants were not within easy reach. We bought a daily train pass to go to meeting places in the city for tours we booked. The hotel has an older section and a new one. Our family of 4 occupied a quadruple room in the older section. The room was clean and not cramped but lighting was poor and there were not enough electrical outlets for us to use to recharge our phones and tablets. Beddings and the bathroom were clean. The hotel staff were friendly though a couple were not too helpful. Overall our stay at the hotel was okay. In retrospect we should have booked a hotel in the city which would have made it easier and faster for us to get to sights and eating places during our short 3-night stay.

Clean and attractive property a 30-second walk from a stop for the bus to the airport (no hotel shuttle). There's no air conditioning, but mitigated somewhat by the fact that room windows open (note, though, that the area can be a little loud). Overall a good choice for convenience to the airport and there are several restaurants and supermarkets within walking distance. Hotel restaurant was closed the night we were there; so I'm unable to review it. Hotel breakfast is just okay by European hotel beakfast standards (still better than American).

Nice hotel. Clean, friendly. Near train. Great food/ restaurant However it was super hot and the hotel did not have AC. Picture of window which barely opened also adding to hot room. Also restaurant not open on the weekends. And they only offer breakfast for one person per room which was weird.

This hotel is great. It is a 15 min bus ride from the airport and located close to the train station, only a 5 min walk away. There was a great little grocery store on the way to the train that had fresh baked pastries every morning. The hotel offered a breakfast buffet but was very expensive (it is Switzerland) for CHF25 per person. We chose croissants, fruit, yogurt and drinks at the grocer for a fraction of the cost. We had the junoir suite which had 2 rooms, one with a queen bed and the other with bunks and a pull out single bed (sleeping 5 in total). All rooms had wonderful large windows and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There was also plenty of closet space and a safe. There was a mini fridge and kettle in the room as welk. We were really happy with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Hotel was fantastic. We ate dinner at the restaurant there and it was wonderful and food tasted very fresh bedding was extremely comfortable and shower was nice and hot with great pressure we did notice there was not a lot of AC and we opened a window. Unfortunately the train station is right next-door so the trains were loud but overall we would stay there again without hesitation. Check in and staff was phenomenal and very kind to my 8 year old daughter
