The dining options are amazing and staff are kind in order to be able to book these restaurants you need to pay for the all inclusive option if you don’t you will be limited to an “international buffet” La Pergola which is quite a horrible buffet and the food is quite nasty also the fact that there is only 1 pool for el Moro hotel is incredibly bad it’s filled and can’t have a moment of peace because of kids and the abundance of people around Overall I would rate my experience quite average my highlight would be the Italian restaurant which is beautiful

My daughter and I spent two nights at El Cid Moro Hotel in Mazatlán. We stayed at one of their junior suites. Our hotel room was big, nicely decorated, and it had the most amazing view ever. The bathroom had a funky smell, and the toilet bowl had yellow stains. We opted for the European plan which meant we had to buy our own drinks. We ended up paying almost 40 dollars for 2 drinks. The hotel didn’t have enough umbrellas and loungers by the beach, but it had 3 different swimming pools

The hotel is convenient. It has a great location, and the staff is friendly. However, it is very old. The windows are not soundproof, so, expect bandas all day and night clubs during a big part of the night. The terrace doors do not close properly, expect a draft of air during the night. It can get chilly. I would not go back here. Also, they will charge you if you want Internet access.

The Property was a 4-star property, and wonderful greeting. Excellent location on the Beach, but the valet parking was Self Service (you had to pay to park your own car across the street) There were many restaurants, but all required 24 hour reservations (why go on vacation when you have to plan every step) the food on the buffet was only fair, and when you busted your rear to go out and get a wonderful spot on the beach, they parked a family right in front of us, between us and the water. Paid way too much for a substandard trip to the beach !! Advice, do not buy the All Inclusive package !! And when you see someone pitching their tent in front of your wonderful spot on the beach, make them move before they get comfortable !!

Tenemos años llegando a esté lugar, nos encanta el todo incluído. Gracias a los meseros de los restaurantes italiano japonés y Thai, sobre todo a Darío, super amable y. Tomas del bar de playa, súper amables. Sugerencia para los meseros de la concha y restaurante argentino, que sean más amables y ayentos tardan demasiado en atender.. Nos negaron el acceso a la alberca del Moro con el argu.mento de que era solo para socios. Concierne nos informó que teníamos derecho al uso de todas las albercas, fue bochornoso y desagradable, la alberca estaba vacía.

The pictures of the amenities offered by the resort attract you. When we arrived, we saw exactly was illustrated in the pictures (rock slides, waterfalls, and rock cliff to jump off into the swimming pool.) The resort decided to have staffing work on the attraction during, what I would imagine is the busiest time of the week. (Thursday through Sunday) . It happened to be during our entire stay, theefofe my kids we not able to have fun in what they thought they’d be able to use. Second, the “all inclusive” feature I purchased is unclear. Nowhere does it say what is included within menus, and or areas. It was mainly word of mouth by the waiters at the resort. Certain waiters would bring me things such as bottled waters, and others would deny it and tell me it’s not included in my package. When I asked them to show me where that was stated in “fine print” they could not prove it and still denied me bottled waters. I brought up to the attention of the member staffing twice and not once did I receive an apology. They didn’t care in any way. They were passive about the information and changed the subject. I won’t stay here ever again.

The rooms were great and very spacious. Beautiful views but thin unsafe windows. They seemed like they were falling apart and definitely feel like if u lean on them u will fall over. Last day we found a little roach which was surprising since our room and hotel felt very clean. Pool was great my kids loved it but was a little crowded at times. Not a big deal. and we loved the beach out front with great music. Not a close walk to the mazatlan letters but very close drive. Food was not good at buffet but ok food by the pool area and drinks were hit or miss but we made reservations at the seafood restaurant at their other location (cid marina) and it was so delicious!!! Id stay again keeping in mind that i will mostly eat out during my stay.

This property is very outdated, our room had a roach, housekeeping did not even noticed while cleaning. We reported the issue and no one even bother to take care of the issue. The quality of food is very bland and basic not worth to pay for all inclusive. The resort was very busy as it is the school holiday so expect lots of families with children which can be a pool take over and very loud. I would not recommend this resort. We tour The El Cid Marina and that place is beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend to stay in the downtown area rather than the Golden Zone area. Mazatlán is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit overall, I would visit again.

It’s a great place! The food is good, the facilities need to up kept more. A more deep detailed cleaning is needed. And more areas with AC so you can sit down and enjoy a drink overlooking the pool area. More night activities for adults and maybe even for teens to hang out.

Between the cockroaches in the rooms and the absolute worst check out experience we’ve ever experienced so we had to mark terrible. They scam you for every penny they can even when it’s a sick baby. Charged a large amount of hundred dollars to “special clean” bedsheets that had minimal impact to them. Housekeeping apparently told them a very different story regarding the situation. All lies! We thankfully had some great servers like Ignacio, Martin, and Tomas. We’ve been coming here for years but this was our last stay here unfortunately. Beware.

As we entered our room for the first time when we checked in I removed my sandals and the floor was so dirty the bottom of my feet were black within one minute. This tells me that the floor was not cleaned before we checked in. The door to the patio had a gap so big, anything could crawl through from outside. The restroom had hardly any lighting at all. I could not even read the shampoo or conditioner bottle to tell the difference while showering. Walls we're so thin you could hear the Neighbors eating off of their plate when the the fork touched the plate. Had to ask for a new iron 3 times because they were leaking water or burnt. After asking two or three times for these issues to get resolved, they finally got resolved.However, it took at least two days. Never recommending this hotel.

Overall is a pretty outdated Hotel! In pictures things look newer. definitely NOT Recent, as far as cleaning it was not; pillows had a sweat smell upon arrival, did let staff know said they would clean, supposedly they did but smell was still there! Our phone did not work to dial reported 3 times & was not fixed. Aside from that staff was so kind and nice, all the waiters were amazing love the staff. For the price def expected more quality

We found the hotel and our room dirty and not maintained. Broken chairs, bird droppings on the loungers and all over the pool rocks that never seemed to be cleaned, cigarette butts and broken fake nails from the night before not swept around pool area. Our bedroom decorative pillows were dirty and when we had house cleaning (every other day) they did not clean toilets properly. Elevators dirty and cracked floors and Italian restaurant bathroom did not seemed to be cleaned. We had reservations for 5:30 (right when they opened) so you would expect they would have been cleaned.

Very old outdated hotel needs renovation as soon as possible, gaps in between the doors, windows only one glass i didn't sleep well because I can hear all the noise from a bar across the street from the hotel and all the noise from the cars passing by all night long and i was a the 26th floor, i can just imagine people on the lower floor how horrible it will be.

The location was great. Right in the middle of shopping and dining options within walking distance. The room had a gorgeous view of the ocean. The lighting over the bathroom sink was really dim. No light over the tub/shower area. The shower water temperature was inconsistent so it would be either really hot or really cold. The property is located near an open air nightclub which was loud from 10 pm to around 4 am.

The rooms were great and very spacious. Beautiful views but thin unsafe windows. They seemed like they were falling apart and definitely feel like if u lean on them u will fall over. Last day we found a little roach which was surprising since our room and hotel felt very clean. Pool was great my kids loved it but was a little crowded at times. Not a big deal. and we loved the beach out front with great music. Not a close walk to the mazatlan letters but very close drive. Food was not good at buffet but ok food by the pool area and drinks were hit or miss but we made reservations at the seafood restaurant at their other location (cid marina) and it was so delicious!!! Id stay again keeping in mind that i will mostly eat out during my stay.

We had a great time at El Cid El Moro Beach Hotel. Everything was clean and well taken care of, and the staff was excellent. It's somewhat unfortunate there is a nearby club with loud music if that isnt your thing, but if that is your thing it is within walking distance.

If you get the all invlusive you need to make all your reservations upon arrival. We did not and had trouble getting dinner reservations when we wanted. We did not recieve the room we paid for, thhe hotel said they were not available. Expedia did credit me the additional amount but this is something to be aware of. The waters at the pool sere 10 stars all tge way. Jorge, Martin, Marcos,amd the pthers were absolutely fantastic! We loved them. Rhe maids were great- one day we accidentally dropped cash on tge bed and the cleaner left a note for us. Such jonest service! Thank you Maria Ochoa! There were a few minor things we didnt care for but they were not deal breakers. I had someone take my beach towel while while we were at the beach and when i tried to get a replacement i had to wait 20 minutes for the pool concierge to come talk to me. He said that they dont give away towels so i would have to wIt for them to count yowels at the emd of the night and if an extra one tur ed up they would let me know, in the meantime i had to be without a towel. When i went the next day to adk i had to wait again for someone to ok the towel.

When we arrived, they told us that our rooms (2) were not available which we had already paid for. They tried to put us in a room with 2 rooms, but when we got to the room, the living room was considered a room. When we complained, they gave us our original room. La atencion al llegar excelente pero los meseros de las albercas parece que les molesta atenderte cuando traes un plan todo incluido y creo que si uno ya pago es porque quiere evitarse esos tratos, en general buen servicio aunque creo que la calidad de los alimentos ha bajado considerablemente con los años.

This resort/hotel is beautiful, safe and great location. I booked a suite with ocean view and balcony which was perfect for myself. It was great I also had the all inclusive wristband. The only reason I will not give it a full 5 stars is because the employees who are serving you along the beach or the pool get very pushy with wanting to sell you alcohol bottles or yetii bottles. Once we refused to purchase, service completely stopped and would ignore our request. One server particularly got security involved saying I was sharing my drinks and food with my family members who did not have the wristband. Mind you we bought our own alcohol to have and made our drinks all of this because we didn't purchase anything from him. But he had no issue taking our tip money when we were serving him. Just be aware and don't fall for being upsold on anything. There's a beautiful grocery store across the way with everything you may need.

I stayed at El Cid for five days, and have nothing but great things about the hotel, amenities, and mostly, the staff. Upon arrival, everyone was incredibly kind and helpful. Alejandra at check-in really set the tone for what I knew was going to be a great stay. The staff at every angle were beyond generous, attentive, and friendly. My favorites were Alvaro and Rodrigo and a bartender whose name I didn’t catch in the dining area. The rooms were clean and spacious, and housekeeping did a great job at cleaning every morning at the time of my choosing. I loved the easy beach access and the secenic view of the beach from my patio. The only thing that I could say could be improved was the shower in one of the bathrooms. It didn’t warm up to temperature consistently, and the drain seemed to be a little plugged. Other than that, our trip was perfection. Thank you to everyone at El Cid for help making our trip so memorable - I can’t wait to go back!

Ya es la segunda vez que voy a Cid el Moro un año cambié a Castilla y fue mala decisición si cambia mucho uno de otro. Al llegar el check in fue rápido llegamos a las 12 del medio día y nos dieron nuestras pulceras para hacer uso de las instalaciones y consumir alimentos y bebidas y ya a las 4 pm nos dieron nuestra habitación. el Check out ya es a las 11 am cuando en otros hoteles es a las 12. Las instalaciones son buenas, la habitación la aseaban diario solo 1 de las almohadas olía a cigarro. Las personas que brindan las toallas en alberca son las únicas con mala atención, meseros siempre disponibles al igual que botones y recepción. Los alimentos en los restaurantes de reserva y La concha super rico todo. Las bebidas preparadas en la alberca si son un poco malas pero en general la estadía estuvo muy bien, lo recomiendo para viajes familiares, los niños se divierten mucho y están seguros.

THEY DO NOT STOP UNTIL 4a.m. We tried to change our room 3 times but no success. Probably due to maximum reservations as it was getting close to spring break & Easter. There is supposedly a “quiet” side but cannot say for sure as we were not allowed to see a different room even though we were promised at check in. There are quieter rooms but we were told they only had double beds in them. The rooms overlooking the nightclubs were the rooms with King beds. The hotel didn’t have any queen beds. Service in the dining room was very slow for a-la-carte service! We didn’t buy all inclusive as it was buffet only. Only one dining room & bufet was too expensive. $450 pesos per person breakfast & $750 pesos per person evening. We could eat breakfast for about $600 pesos total for us as a couple - much less than $900 pesos for us as a couple. We tried supper once & sevice was not good. They expect everyone will use the buffet. I tried to order 1 glass of wine with my supper but was told they only sold by the bottle! After much insistence they finally gave me 1 glass. Number 1 reason we will never come back is the noise from the 2 night clubs to 4 a.m.

The hotel is convenient. It has a great location, and the staff is friendly. However, it is very old. The windows are not soundproof, so, expect bandas all day and night clubs during a big part of the night. The terrace doors do not close properly, expect a draft of air during the night. It can get chilly. I would not go back here. Also, they will charge you if you want Internet access.

The check in was very nice and easy. The staff was very friendly and ready to help. The hotel is clean, pools were nice and plenty to do around the place. The room was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the noise at night you could hear the club across the street. The shopping across is nice incase you need something you forgot. Plenty of food around the hotel and at the hotel. overall nice place to stay

Great location to walk to different restaurants and to the golf course. Outstanding ocean view and room. Did not like the loud music from near by night clubs that play to 4 AM and hard to great pool towels in afternoon if you golfed the morning.

This property is very outdated, our room had a roach, housekeeping did not even noticed while cleaning. We reported the issue and no one even bother to take care of the issue. The quality of food is very bland and basic not worth to pay for all inclusive. The resort was very busy as it is the school holiday so expect lots of families with children which can be a pool take over and very loud. I would not recommend this resort. We tour The El Cid Marina and that place is beautiful and well maintained. I would recommend to stay in the downtown area rather than the Golden Zone area. Mazatlán is a relaxing and beautiful place to visit overall, I would visit again.

El cid Moro has something for everyone , families can hang at the pool or couples on the beach or hot tub. Service is excellent and rooms and views are great. Downside is the food. Don’t go with the all inclusive since you’ll sour on the quality. Instead wander around to Shekinah Beach Club or Chile Pepers or Diego’s for great meals.

We loved the rooms, the service and the location! My only complaints would be that the buffet food is fairly cold - it was rare to eat a hot/warm meal. You literally had to try and grab from the back of the tray as everything mid to front was cold. The pool is pretty dang cold as well. The resort is exceptionally clean.

Not having stayed in Mazatlan before, not having your fridge stocked when all inclusive was something new to me. Also, was never told we couldn't eat at the lunch area of El Cid El Moro (even tho we were staying there) b/c we were not ELITE all inclusive. El Cid Castilla buffet lunch & La Concha buffet dinner were terrible. Good luck trying to get dinner reservations at any of the ala carte restaurants that is before 8pm (guessing earlier times are for members). If staying in Mazatlan again, we'd get the European plan or stay at an Airbnb.

This was our 3rd time at El Cid. The rooms at Moro are huge and a great value for the money. While the food is acceptable with suffient options, we typically eat outside the hotel. The reaort is conveniently located within walking distance to nurmerous good local restaurants. The resort's pools are the best in Mazatlán! This was our 3rd time at El Cid. The rooms at Moro are huge and a great value for the money. While the food is acceptable with suffient options, we typically eat outside the hotel. The reaort is conveniently located within walking distance to nurmerous good local restaurants. The resort's pools are the best in Mazatlán! El Cid Moro needs to remodel. It’s so outdated and old. Needs improvement on cleaning. Customer service is alright i guess Not all employees are friendly. Definitely not returning to this place.

I felt we were very misled. The picture showed a very large swimming pool. The time we were there at the swimming pool was under construction, which is absolutely unbelievable. We should’ve been notified of that. I felt that the elevators were very dirty. The property is very dated and our Sweet had two bathrooms in one of the bathroom toilets totally leaked when flushing.. we ended up staying one night out of 9 and checking to another resort

The check in was really hectic , the main pool was going through “maintenance “ so it was closed, the had an additional pool for hundreds of people The staff was rude.
