Hotel Grand Marlon

Wifi was so terrible I could not even make a what's app call without it dropping every few seconds. Even though it says there's a hot tub in the hotel description with along with gym, pool, etc, the hotel does not have one for all guest to use.

Parking options limited. Paid parking but no reservations

Good parking and location. The restaurant makes this place really good. For breakfast, room service and dinner.

Arrived early (45 minutes) and understandably our rooms were not ready so we sat and relaxed in the hotel bar/restaurant and waited until our scheduled check in time and were told our rooms were now ready. We received our keys and remotes and went to our room. We walked into a room that hadn’t even been touched by anyone except the last guests! We informed front desk staff and were told they would get the room ready for us. Luckily we were able to leave our baggage in another room we had reserved that actually was ready and we came back a few hours later and the room was ready. The website states there is a hot tub which is not true! This was one of the main reasons why we chose to stay there instead of other much nicer hotels in the area that we have previously stayed at. It’s simply a small portion of the pool that resembles a hot tub. The restaurant/bar was nice and the food and selections were reasonably priced and the meals we had were good. Waiters and bartenders were very friendly and efficient with exception of the person who ran the register and she was terrible! I had to insist on running my payment repeatedly and once I showed her how to use their own credit card machine it cleared perfectly. When we returned later that evening for dinner and drinks once again she was unable to process the payment and was very abrupt and argumentative and they had to transfer our bill to the front desk and yes the payment was processed flawlessly on their first attempt.

The rooms were terrible. They smell really bad. The Wi-Fi service was so bad. The pool was so dirty and filthy no fridge in the junior suite. Everything was terrible. I would like my money back. Customer service was terrible.

The hotel use to look nicer prior to covid. It was kept well. Now it was very dirty and poorly maintained. The pool was not available. My curtains had what appeared to look like vomit on them, the towels were very old and had many stains. The wifi kept dropping and we were only on the second floor.

Pool was dirty and and tiny toothbrush in the bottom and rubbish floating in it. Room right next to elevator woke up in the morning by cleaners using the lift and screaming children and also by loud guests returning at night. Really should not advertise a pool and hot tub that is so dirty it can’t be used should definitely be a shut off time for the pool use and guests should not be allowed enter lift or stair wells dripping wet straight out of the pool. Dangerous

This place was not what I expected at all.I was given a room with 2 beds when I reserved a room with a king size bed. When I went to the front desk she said we are full and that’s what we have. The tub was nasty and felt like you can fall through it.The pool had in no water and has a caution tape around it. This place is run down nothing like the pic for sure.

El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones, el personal que me atendió súper amable, estacionamiento amplio y cerca de todo. Volvería a quedarme ahí

Las fotos del hotel son muy buenas pero el hotel en si no es como en las imagenes, llegando al hotel en recepción vi una cucaracha y me dijeron que habian fumigado y por eso estaban saliendo lo entiendo, pero aun asi fue un poco desagradable. La habitación que nos toco tenia el colchon viejo y muy sucio levantamos las sabanas sin querer y fue como nos dimos cuenta, el aire en si de la misma habitación se sentia sucio, solo dormimos en el hotel pero no nos parecio nada confortable y salimos muy temprano pues no apetecia permanecer mas tiempo en el.

Its a convenient hotel for the average person but had to call the attention of the janitor to empty chips bags thrown at the foot of the steps at the main entrance to the hotel. There was also an empty whiskey box lying around from the previous night. I also noticed mold on the shower curtain in my room which should not be.

Room was clean. Our room was cleaned everyday. Our stay there was good.

Las toallas están muy percudidas, la puerta de entrada de la habitación tiene muestras de violencia los muebles tienen manchas de pintura y mucho desgaste. Internet muy bueno.

Lo bueno: esta céntrico Lo malo: Las camas estaban MUY duras, habian pelos en la almohada de alguien más. El restauraurante nada bueno, no supieron ni hacer unos hotcakes.

Las habitaciones son cómodas, pero algunos tenemos de mantenimiento que hacen falta. La instalación del AA, con algo de humedad. La plancha y la base para planchar estaban en pésimas condiciones. La cortina de baño, algo sucia y vieja, y el espejo bastante deteriorado.

El hotel está bonito pero tanto las sabanas como las toallas en muy mal estado, las sábanas con manchas y las toallas muuuy desgastadas, es lo que no nos ha gustado

Hotel barato. Para pasar la noche. Pero no significa que tenga que estar sucio y con pesimas instalaciones. El clima goteando y nos dieron toallas para poner en el piso y no caernos. No habia personal de mantenimiento ni de limpieza. No ofrecieron cambio de habitacion. El baño super sucio

Es necesaria una renovación de mobiliario, las pantallas dentro de las habitaciones se ve horrible y en general le hace falta mejorar la infraestructura y al rededor al menos una barrida

Solo pediría que tuvieran más streaming en la TV.

Great location, Nice room, good bed, TV, etc. .... but insufficient hot water to take a normal shower

The Grand Marlon hotel is my go to place in Chetumal. Previously it had bad wi-fi for an extended period. That problem now appears to have been fixec

Poor WiFi in room, no refrigerator. Front desk and house keeping were friendly.

All the plug sockets are tired and don’t hold plugs any more. Maybe they should be replaced throughout the hotel.

Wifi was horrible on the first floor. Couldn't make a whatsapp voice call much less work on my computer and when recording a message in whatsapp to send to my contacts you could very clearly hear my neighbor's conversation in the background. Room had a faint odor of pee, 1 bed comforter had dirt stains and the other was ripped, no outlet by the bed to charge the phone, netflix didn't work on the tv, you can very clearly hear other guests through the walls and doors creaked very loudly including our neighbors, The beds were hard and the electricals, locks and plumbing are all antiquated and require some updating. Good things are the hot water doesn't take long to come up, there's a small table and chair to work and the bathroom is spacious

I didn’t like that they were unable to locate my reservation and was turnt away to the other hotel and after showing receipts of payment only then the front desk further looked into the reservation being asked for. She was very nonchalant about the situation and didn’t offer much assistance, not sure if because her language barrier with English speakers.

I cannot give a good review of the room in my stay because I was not given the room I paid and selected. I was told that if I wanted the room I booked, I had to wait until 3pm instead of 2pm which was the time of my check in. I was so tired that I had to accept the room that was offered instead. The hotel overall is a good option, however, I would like their cleaning crew to be more on point so the guest can enjoy their selection in rooms.

Property is centrally located and they serve a good breakfast. What I didn’t like is that I booked and paid for a King Size Bed and was told on checking in that they are sold out and was given a room with 2 double beds.

Aunque solo fue mi estancia por una noche, fue muy muy cómoda, la cama y las almohadas excelente para un descanso reparador, el hotel está situado en una zona bastante céntrica 👍

El hotel está en muy buenas condiciones, el personal que me atendió súper amable, estacionamiento amplio y cerca de todo. Volvería a quedarme ahí

Everything was good. Close to shopping area. Food served at restaurant was great.

En general el hotel está bonito, el servicios de restaurante pésimo, al parecer solo atienden a los que creen que dejarán propina, pedí unos chilaquiles rojos con huevo, que estaban salados, el mesero paso y me dijo que si podia retirar, le dije que si más sin embargo al estar completo el plato no se tomó la molestia de preguntar cómo estuvo la comida, me levanté y tomé otro menú y pasaron 15 minutos y ningún mesero se acercó a tomar mi orden, y mucho menos café más que una taza en toda mi estadía en en el restaurante, después pedí hielos a la srta del restaurante e inmediatamente el mesero se metió en la conversación diciendo que no venden hielo y mucho menos tienen hielo! Le comenté a recepción más sin embargo no hicieron nada! Ojalá mejoren ese aspecto en futuros huespedes

The hotel restaurant had great service. Though the menu was limited everything offered was very good.

Lugar cómodo y seguro. Lo único que pudiera recomendar es que las opciones ligeras del restaurante realmente lo sean ya actualmente son muy grasosas.
