The parking situation for downtown Topeka wasn't the best for an older female traveling alone & having to walk across a parking garage and down an alleyway to enter the. Backside of the hotel was nerve wracking. This hotel used to offer valet parking & is a main reason I chose to stay again. My stay was 2 nights & my room key quit the next day twice, which is an inconvienence. The highlight was the waitress at the restaurant. She was top knotch.

We had a wonderful stay. The staff member who checked us on was very helpful and knowledgeable. The parking garage is a waste of money and more of an inconvenience, but it didn’t affect our stay. I definitely suggest street parking if you are able.

Really nice hotel with on site restaurant that was top notch. Recommend getting reservations early becauae it filled up. Room was beautiful and well appointed. The front desk didn't know I added breakfast on to my room reservation with the 3rd party site, but I was able to show them the email and work it out. Not their fault. My only complaint would be that my shower was cold. Easy walk to the Performing Arts Center and all downtown has to offer. Parking is challenging with the garage and room key needed to enter/exit. Street parking is optimal if you can get a spot. We will be back!

Per hotel info on Expedia's web site a "parking on site" is listed as a feature and is likely a misinformation. Hotel parking is actually in the adjacent building on levels 8 and above. It is necessary to take an elevator, then stairs and then go through not so picturesque poorly maintained area, and then go around the hotel building to the front entrance if you do not have a room key yet.

If you don't want to pay to park in the garage you have to move your car every 2 hours and have to be gone from your parking spot by 10am or risk getting a ticket. Unfortunately, many many vacant stores on main street in Topeka, no shopping opportunities.

Highly recommend this jewel of a hotel in downtown Topeka. It was nice to be able to walk to the capitol and see some sights on a Saturday night. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It was exceptionally clean. If I’m ever in Topeka again, I would stay here.

Very unique and cool design, staff were very nice, but many issues with room. Dust on everything, steamer barely functioned, tv remote barely functioned and sink stopper was stuck closed. The restaurant food downstairs was excellent, however, half of our takeout order was missing. Pretty steep price for so many room faults.

Poor check in experience. Nice hotel, good amenities. Overall fine, could have been much better. When I arrived, the person at the front desk was on the phone with a future guest who was receiving A LOT of information about the hotel's amenities and he took over 20 minutes on the phone answering questions and making the reservation while I waited to check in. When it was my turn, he barely greeted me, took less than 5 minutes to check me in, take my credit card for incidentals, describe the layout of the hotel, and explain where the parking garage was located. After patiently waiting while he was on the phone for such a long time, I really expected to receive the same level of customer service that was bring provided on the phone. If he was going to take so little time to interact with me, it would have been appreciated if he would have asked the guest on the phone to hold while I got checked in. This was unacceptable and I was unimpressed. That being said, the property itself is quite nice. It's spacious, modern, quite, and located in downtown Topeka. My room was clean, however there were some water stains in the bathroom that made it look like it hadn't been cleaned and makes it feel and look dirty. Things to note - The parking garage is a confusing because it's not attached to the hotel. Additionally guests must park between levels 8-11. The garage has an elevator, but no matter where you park, you'll have to take the stairs at some point to get into the hotel. You also

Stayed at the Cyrus going through Topeka and really enjoyed our stay. Nice hotel with a lot of charm. We had a corner room with big windows and an awesome view. We also walked across the street and grabbed dinner and did some bowling. I really enjoyed our stay there.

The hotel is clearly under construction. The worst thing is the constant industrial noose running all night. When I called the front desk, they asked if I wanted security. Clearly they know the property is not under code. Well, I guess I’ll go back to trying to sleep with an airplane motor running outside my window…

I sent this hotel before and I really like it because it makes me feel like I'm back in the 1920s. However I have to say the room that I stayed in this time room 2:15 the carpet inn the area where the sofa bed is is very very bad taste bad color bad shape just overall bad and it could use a little bit more carpeting like an area rug because it's cold. Extra blankets would be nice if they were provided because that room is quite big that it just does not heat up fast enough The time it heated up to was the time it was about to check out. However again I love the hotels this far I'm staying again next weekend and we'll see how that room's going to. But again the area rug that's in the area where the sofa bed is that's not where the bed actually is needs to be replaced needs to be restocked bad color bad shape

Very unsafe for minorities, and they are not shy about it. We were harassed by the locals right in front of the hotel. Luckily, the lady that worked at the front desk supported us and made sure we were ok. I’ve never experienced this and won’t ever be coming back.

Stayed here for a Mothers Day weekend getaway. Room was nice, clean and big enough for 2. We didn't get the best view but that's okay, will upgrade next time. They let us do early check in with no issues! Front desk was responsive and Cocktails delicious. My only cons were the AC unit is LOUD so it kept waking us up and they must have been short staffed in the morning because breakfast was SLOW. Took about 20 mins for service and no tables were clean, however breakfast was worth the wait!! Will stay again!!

Paid to park-not a big deal for a downtown hotel. Was told the charge would be on my Expedia receipt, which it is not. Requested a printed receipt upon checkout and the staff said that there was no point because it would show a $0 charge. I need a receipt for reimbursement for work travel and now have to pay for parking myself. Attempted to call the restaurant from my room 3 times to order and finally just went down to order. Was told it would be 15 minutes for my carryout order and waited over 30 minutes for one sandwich and soup. Customer service is not up to standard for this hotel.

When I arrived, the person at the front desk was on the phone with a future guest who was receiving A LOT of information about the hotel's amenities and he took over 20 minutes on the phone answering questions and making the reservation while I waited to check in. After patiently waiting while he was on the phone for such a long time, I really expected to receive the same level of customer service that was bring provided on the phone. If he was going to take so little time to interact with me, it would have been appreciated if he would have asked the guest on the phone to hold while I got checked in. This was unacceptable and I was unimpressed. That being said, the property itself is quite nice. It's spacious, modern, quite, and located in downtown Topeka. My room was clean, however there were some water stains in the bathroom that made it look like it hadn't been cleaned and makes it feel and look dirty. Things to note - The parking garage is a confusing because it's not attached to the hotel. Additionally guests must park between levels 8-11. Backside of the hotel was nerve wracking. This hotel used to offer valet parking & is a main reason I chose to stay again. My stay was 2 nights & my room key quit the next day twice, which is an inconvienence. The highlight was the waitress at the restaurant. She was top knotch.

We were driving across country and needed a pet friendly hotel in the area. Cyrus came up as a rare option for low price and pet friendly. For starters, the location is RIGHT off the interstate. So close & convenient yet far enough to be noisy. Within 1 block of the hotel, there were numerous food options to walk to and tons of fun history right there on Topeka's "Main Street". We loved that. We parked on the street for FREE right in front of the hotel. Our King Room, the cheapest they offered, was HUGE. Tons of space. The solid surface floors were super clean as was the rest of the room. Walk in shower was extremely large. There were 2 big screen smart TV's (we got the room with a pull out couch for our 5 yr old). The staff was extremely friendly & helpful. The workout room was everything we needed and like the rooms and rest of the hotel, very clean. Breakfast was not included in our rate. I believe some rates do include it. It was basic and convenient but IMO not worth the $14.95 charge. That's nothing. We can figure out breakfast when traveling. No matter, this is a must stop for a weary traveler on I-70. Definitely don't miss if you need a place to sleep nearby.

If traveling with small children I do not recommend. The hotel wreaked of marajuana. The transients out side of the hotel screamed obscenities while walking my family into check in. Made us feel very uncomfortable and we felt unsafe.

This is an excellent option for anyone needing to stay near the capitol district of downtown Topeka. It is convenient to shopping, government and food, the hotel is ultra-stylish, clean and a good mix of modern convenience and historical significance. We were given a corner room on the 8th floor and ended up with floor-to-ceiling windows on two sides of the room, which allowed for grand views of the capital dome and the city's skyline. We chose to valet park, but there appeared to be plenty of street parking available. It takes a fair bit of time to retrieve a car from valet, as the valet lot doesn't seem to be close to the hotel itself. The GI Bill Monument is right across the street and was an unexpected, culturally significant highlight of our trip. If there was bellhop service available, we missed it. Otherwise, no complaints. We would definitely stay here again and preferably in the same room.

Highly recommend this jewel of a hotel in downtown Topeka. It was nice to be able to walk to the capitol and see some sights on a Saturday night. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. My husband enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It was exceptionally clean. If I’m ever in Topeka again, I would stay here.

Really nice hotel with on site restaurant that was top notch. Recommend getting reservations early becauae it filled up. Room was beautiful and well appointed. The front desk didn't know I added breakfast on to my room reservation with the 3rd party site, but I was able to show them the email and work it out. Not their fault. My only complaint would be that my shower was cold. Easy walk to the Performing Arts Center and all downtown has to offer. Parking is challenging with the garage and room key needed to enter/exit. Street parking is optimal if you can get a spot. We will be back!

I checked in after a very long day of driving and was delighted to find a restaurant in the hotel. If I had checked in earlier I would have explored a little more of Topeka but after driving 10 hours and checking in at 8:00 I was so happy to find a restaurant in the hotel that was open.

The Weather Room food was lackluster and the breakfast which was $14 a person was way worse than a Days Inn continental breakfast. It should have been included in the stay. I would stay here again due to the quality of the rooms. However, I would not dine here at all.
