The overall 2 night stay was OK. I would not stay again unless they cleaned it up. The rooms were not aweful but needed repairs. There was one elevator that barely worked,, several people complained. We spent over 15 mins waiting for itto even stop on the 5th floor and there are only 8 floors. Several times we took the staircase which was full of garbage. The luggage cart I was given to use had a flat tire, i could barely push. The pool area was ok, but also needs repairs and actual pool towels would be a nice touch, no umbrellas. The casino was decent and cleaned up, gift shop, Starbucks front desk area were all good. The hotel needs serious repairs and updates. If the hotel was cleaned up and repaired i would try again, but not in the state it is in.

Broken down, could not access casino from tower, couldnt access room from parking, broke. Elevator, noisy room, broke. Shower. Would not stay again.

Elevators were broken. Bathrooms were really old, no hot water. Rented a pool room, pool was locked. Paying over $200 a night for this junky room, no fridge, microwave or coffee maker is outrageous! I say it should be more like $89 a night for this place.

Elevator was broken all the time

The elevators are limited because there is only one working elevator in the tower building.

There was puke on our floor when we checked. We offered to let them send a maid while we went out gambling they never cleaned it up. There was only one working elevator and one ice maker for 4 floors.

The elevator was a complete disaster. It seldom worked, and when it did you had to wait 15 minutes for it to arrive. The second elevator wasn't working at all. The ice machine on our floor, 6th, wasn't working which made for a long elevator ride just to get ice or go to the pool. The pool wasn't heated, ice cold.

Dirty sheets. Wall paper falling off walls. Hair in shower. Broken sink. Filthy carpet.

My room had not been vacuumed, sunflower shells, hair and general rubbish left on floor. the faucet and sink plug are both broken, shower head and mixer in poor condition.

Dirty, smelly, peeling wallpaper, no fridge in rooms. Old and very tired property!

Honestly thought we would be staying at a better place based on the compared price of surrounding hotels. We will definitely not be staying here again because the place was filthy. The elevator was very dirty as well as the rest of the common areas. On google the hotel listed that they had a FREE breakfast and this was not the case. False advertisement much. There was a "deal" on breakfast that if you got a players card through the casino, you got $5.00 off the egg breakfast. We ended up eating at the 24 hour Mexican restaurant next door. Needless to say we will never stay at this hotel/casino again.

Room was dirty, sheets were dirty, headboard broken, lights not working.... would not stay in the tower again.

Stains on carpet. Grease and food on table. Trash in hall and elevator. Stains in sink from dripping faucet.

This property was so run down. It was mostly empty. It was very dirty. Filthy actually. Two separate elevators were broken down. It looks as if it’s closing down. Our room was dirty, the sheets were rough and the room was falling apart, from the walls, carpet, furniture, tiles, curtains to the strong odor of cigarettes and marijuana coming in from the hall. Didn’t get one bit of sleep, there were actual fights going on right outside my door and in the surrounding rooms. All night long, literally. Security did nothing but ask them if they were doing ok. They should have thrown them out. I would never come here again.

Check-in was very weird and awkward. After check in she asked “you guys know where you’re going right” even though we had NO clue where are room was. The elevator had a bag of chips sitting there, and it was dirty inside. Our room was okay, no comforters or a quilt on the bed. You technically just get bed sheets and that’s all. The shower frame was rusty and looked moldy. The walls look like they haven’t been cleaned in who knows how long but there were a few splatters of what seemed to be blood on the wall and the toilets don’t flush all they way. Not sure if we’ll stay here again.

Rooms had peeling wallpaper. Holes in doors. Shower had no hot water. Black mold in bathroom.Tears in hallway carpet. Only 1 working elevator that stopped working on 2nd day. Elevator was filthy, railings in elevator were ripped off wall.The hotel front desk supervisor Jaden had no idea that elevators were not working.. Missing fire extinguishers in hallways. Horrible waitress service. Concrete stairs outside to upper parking lot were crumbling. Dirty common areas. Staff that is unfriendly and uncaring to guests and their needs. Spent a lot of money for a literal ghetto trashed hotel. Don't waste your time or money here.

Smelled terrible. Wallpaper was peeling everywhere. Floor had a bottle cap from whoever stayed there before. Not worth the price at all!

For the tower rooms there was only 1 working elevator the tower rooms are out dated a bit over priced for what you got for the moneybpaid

If you enjoy dirty hotels, broken elevators and incompetent front desk staff this is the place for you. The front desk directed us to a broken elevator. The only working elevator we found looked and felt like it was out of a bad horror movie. Every time we rode it, it felt like we could be taking our lives in our hands. It got to be a joke. The pool was supposed to be open till 10, but was padlocked at 9:30. It did look nice. Our room was decrepit. Lights flicker or didn't work all together. Wifi didn't work. Called the front desk and they said they would send maintenance up. No one showed. The shower was more like a spit bath, reminiscent of Trump's description of shower heads with no water pressure. The hotel itself smelled like a dirty ashtray. Our door looked like someone had used a crowbar on it. There were massive holes in the carpet. I could go on, but you get the picture. To add insult there is a $24 resort fee. This is the worst hotel experience hands down.

The property only had 1 working elevator, the rooms were very dark, light in the 1 lamp was very dark. TV only has half the channels working, and the walls are paper thin, could here people in next room have a convetsation then later in the evening you could here them br intimate. Food was very expensive. Will not stay there again.

There was no running hot water anywhere in the room, the A/C blew warm air, and the outlet were hanging out of the wall.

Shower was horrible with no pressure, mattress was uncomfortable, pillows were flat, carpet was disgusting, and they removed the fridge

We reserved a room in the atrium tower. Paid a bit more thought it was gonna be better. We couldn’t believe the bathroom faucets. I could literally lift the entire hot cold and nozzle off the counter.

The hotel is old with only one working elevator in the very back of the building. The room was clean, but the bed was extremely hard and uncomfortable.

The room was clean, did not have a comforter just a sheet over a thin blanket. The wall looked like it was not connected to the roof. There was water damage around sliding glass door. The light over the bathroom mirror did not work and they didn’t have the correct bulb to fix it. Half the wall plugs did not work.

Oh my! This was the worst! I was put in the "The Tower" one elevator that barely worked so I was scared to death every time I had to get in it. No coffee pot in the room, they took them out during Covid and still have not replaced them. No ice in the ice machines on any of the floors but the 4th. (There are 8) no fridge in the room, and the AC wasn't working either. And then we decided to go to the Casino because our room was miserable. Raining cats and dogs outside and there isn't a way, that we could find, that connects the tower to the rest of the casino, so we would have had to walk in pouring rain to get there. And if there is a way, they really should tell you at the front desk during check in. Not everyone would just know. Absolutely ruined our trip. We ended up just leaving, wasting our damn money, and finding a different place to stay for the night. The only thing I could say good about the place is the front desk gal was nice enough when I called down to ask questions. She didn't volunteer any info, but was polite when I asked.

Pros: Gaming area was really good. Staff was very friendly & helpful. Several machines were pretty good on price/odds. Drinks were mixed well. The Steakhouse restaurant was extremely good. Bed was comfortable. Pool area was solid. Cons: Room was not worth the price (we had jacuzzi suite). Bathtub was ill repaired from the bottom being worn dow. There were several areas where things had broken in the past & not properly repaired. Toilet barely flushed. Wallpaper was peeling. In hallways, carpet was coming up on our floor.

The room was not ready until 5:30 pm (check in is at 4). There was non perks offered for this delay. The person checking is in was rude and unapologetic. The room was dirty, the whole place is dated. The sink dripped all night, the housekeepers began vacuuming at 6 am. Like: the restaurant was fantastic for both dinner and breakfast.

When you first walk in, you’re greeted by a receptionist that’s not in uniform wearing her high school sweater on her phone doesn’t bother even looking up until you say something then tells you the wrong elevator to go to and you have to come all the way back down after wandering the floor you were sent to. I’m guessing on purpose from the way she acted at check-in and her laughing when we came back down. Then to only go all the way across the casino again with all of our luggage to a door that looks like it’s from 1940 with graffiti all over it up to the hallway that has construction supplies all throughout it to the far end of the casino to your room when there’s only three cars in the parking lot, making sure to put you as far away from the Casino as possible in your room you don’t have a coffee maker cups nothing it’s just the most basic less than motel six quality room I’m surprised there were sheets on the bed that should’ve been an up charge for them from the way this room was. The casino staff were very nice and helpful outside of the casino the hotel staff were terrible. The girl at the front desk needs to be fired or at the very least taught how to do her job, she was the worst out of the five hotels we stayed at on our long vacation. I don’t ever write reviews, but I felt that I needed to with how bad the staff was in the hotel and how bad the hotel was.

The hotel and staff were good. The only annoying problem were the elevators. You invest in fixing the elevators you will have more customers coming back. I would defenetly return if elevators weren't that scary and the wait to go to the upper floors(6-8) were that long.

Jacuzzi tub wouldn't shut off, ceiling tiles coming off the ceiling, was moved to a room with stains on the carpet, the security latch on the door kept malfunctioning, the door wouldnt close tight. Front desk staff was not helpful, and rude.

I booked a king room and the front desk person assigned me a double queen room and did not inform me. I contacted the front desk and they fixed it but wish they would have informed me as I paid extra for the king room. Room was clean and the casino is great.

The Cafe food was very good. The room location was also good, however we were directed to park in the east parking lot to be closer to our room, when we entered the hotel we found the elevator was out of order and had to carry our suitcases and other belongings back to the elevator behind the check-in desk. The following day we found it necessary to repark our car in the west parking area. The person at the front desk should have known there was a problem with the elevator, my wife and I are both over eighty and found it to be very unplesant.

Great customer service

Elevators where extremely slow. Waited twice over ten minutes for it to arrive. The desk staff was not very attentive they more focused on the conversations having with each other then helping the few guests at the desk.

Close to the casino

Only 1 elevator works on the entire casino, we had the top floor tower rooms and multiple time had to take the stairs because the one working elevator was overrun. Also the skywalk was closed, with no signage stating so. Just closed doors after yet taking more stairs because of anothe "out of service" elevator.

Very confusing parking, 1 elevator broken no sign. Barely could understand registration girl. Broken tv, fixed once then broke again, no frig in room. Room hot no control of ac. Super 8 is better.

While they are remodeling the hotel and there is lots of potential, it's not quite there yet. Really appreciated the view of the atrium and being able to walk out the back door to look down, but you can't leave your room from the back and leave the front door locked. The front door doesn't automatically lock, it's manual. I think giving it a facelift with new carpeting, chaining out locks and putting in a key lock that matches the front door will do wonders. The skywalk to Montego Bay is closed, which is a bit of a bummer, walking across the street wasn't too bad (weather was decent) The casino itself, there are newer machines, but we were there during the week so it was pretty quiet there. Would I stay there again? possibly, for the rates that we were able to get..

The casino buses never stopped at Nugget or Red Garter. I need handicapped access vut the doors going to my room were hard to open myself.

Great location

One would think just hearing the name nugget that you would be going to a fairly descent hotel. Not so much. This place is old and run down. And it shows! They have some rooms that have been renovated but unless you have recently won the lottery or you are rich and like throwing your money away forget about staying in one of those! They had rooms that were renovated however they were asking 600.00 dollars for a room with a king size bed. The thing is-you get the renovated room have a great stay in the room but just as soon as you step out it's the same old run down smelly hotel. Where the rooms smell like pee (at least mine did!) Where there is no microwave, no refrigerator, not even enough towels. The beding is clean but it's old and stained. The pillows are just as old and they are rock hard. The wall paper is peeling off. No way to control the temperature in the room. Quite a bit to be desired! I promise i will NOT EVER be staying here again. I almost got locked in the stairwell as i went through one door and then when i got to the next level down that door was locked i couldn't get through as it was locked and no keyed entry. Thank goodness that the door i came through didn't shut all the way and so i was able to get back in. I then proceeded to go through a different door that led outside by was unable to get back in as it was locked. Not to secure. I give this hotel a negative star rating. I would rather stay at a no name hotel as opposed to the Nugget at WendoverWayoverpriced

It was ok, but the elevator is outdated and slow. Dining is limited. Your able to hear the people flushing the toilets.

Love the 24/7 Starbucks!!! Also, chairs in room were very comfortable for sitting - not always the case at this level of hotel. Beds and linens comfortable. Large jetted tub was an unexpected surprise, thank you. Staff (including dealers, floor staff, front desk, Starbucks employees) were all wonderfully helpful and friendly.

An old hotel in need of repairs. Only one elevator functioning, and 2 of the 3 hand railings missing. Clearly ripped from the elevator's walls. Wallpaper is peeling away in the hallways. The 6th floor is desperate for a makeover. Ice machine was broken, unplugged and pulled out from wall. Vending machine was out of water. Blackout drapes were full of holes so with an east facing room I was awake at sunrise. I never heard or saw anyone else so it was very quiet - eerie though. The shower was great with plenty of hot water and strong water pressure.

Nice casino. Construction going on but it’s quiet.

The dining options were slim and my 29.99 steak was medium well (no where near med rare). When serving steak, ask you guest to cut into it and verify in case theres a discrepancy that needs resolution.

We like the casino. Small we have machines we like. Not as crowded like the other casinos.

The Nugget has seen better days. Staff encouraged us to go to Montego Bay across the street for dining and gaming, as the Nugget was so limited. Staff was helpful. But, the facility is run down, all ice machines out of service on every floor of the tower. Final got ice from the Starbucks cafe in main lobby. railings broken in elevators, windows wouldn't open, furniture upholstery torn, and not enough blankets on the bed for February. Peppermill up the street is much better maintained.
