Good location! Very kind staff. No gym.

Absolutely love the beddings, duvet… the duvet! Ended up sleeping in the robe offered. Checked the Staypineapple store, sold out. Also the water bar has sparkling water, thank you!

I chose this hotel because of the price and good ratings. The building is old and the decor questionable. But they’re clearly trying to make it a great experience - comfortable bedding, clean, and nice amenities. I particularly appreciated the free bikes which are a great way to explore the city. The location is only good because central - but midtown generally is a terrible dirty neighborhood.

Friendly staff and just enough space for 2 people for a week! The water station is a nice touch! Great location if you need to stay in midtown.

Clean, artsy decor, comfortable beds, luggage storage, and convenient location near MSG. Shower door leaked and replacement towels requested never arrived. Echo-type clock was hours wrong and wouldn’t reset. No breakfast, no gym, no parking but a daily extra fee for apparently -free sugar cookies in afternoon and coffee/tea/water in lobby.

Decent hotel for the $$. Reasonable size by NYC standards. No chair in the room, no bar or restaurant on site. Helpful staff.

Room was very small - seemed bigger in pictures. No fridge in room. Very limited space to hang up towels. Air conditioner made a terrible clicking noise all night the first night - resolved the next morning. Safe stopped working altogether on 2nd day - requested repair but didn’t get fixed. Lobby was nice but coffee was cold all 3 morning. Free bikes were fun (and it was great that they provided helmets and locks) but both that we took out needed maintenance. Hotel location was very convenient but there is a significant homelessness problem in the immediate area.

The rooms are not as described - there are no suites , only two tiny rooms connected by a hallway that has a light that cannot be turned off Too much furniture in the rooms and they did not give us the room that we reserved. The hotel is very very low end and has no amenities - there is no gym even though they say that there is

I had stayed at other StayPineapple properties and I was shocked at the lack of amenities. No restaurant, no bar, and the bathroom very small. I thought there was a standard, I was unpleasantly surprised. Staff is friendly.

The staff was great very friendly the rooms are very small even the terrace which was awesome but three room was even smaller than the other rooms. Parking is not offered by hotel or a discount anywhere around its a nightmare every where is 50 or 65 per day no in and out when youd like. But the area was nice and central to many things

We loved the funky decor, cushy towels and robes. The hotel was very convenient with lots to walk to nearby. It was clean apart from when I spilled water on the floor. I wiped it up with a paper towel which turned black so I don’t think the floors are being washed very often. I must not have read the details carefully because I didn’t realize there would be a daily fee. The staff was great.

Extra $30 per day not included in Expedia price. We booked here after comparing Expedia prices but the fact that they charge a ~$30 daily amenity fee on top of the price on Expedia undercuts that entirely. Even though we were looking for a budget stay, the property condition fell below expectations. One of the lights in our room didn’t work, wall hooks felt like they would fall off the wall if a jacket were hung on them, and we realized on the final day of our stay that the bathroom was damp not just because there was no ceiling fan, but because the ceiling was leaking. We just didn’t feel overall confident about room hygiene given the sticky bathroom floors. Also the set up of the shower made it basically impossible to tale a shower without spilling water all over the bathroom tiles. On the other hand, the proximity to the train station was nice and staff was helpful during check in and checkout with luggage storage. Bed and sheets were also comfortable. AC was very nice on a hot day. If this place is genuinely offering a deal over other spots in the area, it’s not bad. But make sure to add an extra $30 day to your calculation of the charge. It probably wouldn’t be my choice for a return visit to NY.

The location is great for those traveling by train. It is very walkable and near subway stops too. The front desk was helpful and friendly. The bathroom was clean. One of our pillows had a small stain on it and under the dresser/cabinet looked like it hadn’t been dusted in a year. We were looking for something that fell and found an old room key and a couple of other treasures left behind by former guests. The rooms were quiet. All in all, I would happily stay here again.

This hotel was cute, but there were some issues during my stay. For starters, they charge you a $35 amenity fee which includes wifi, streaming, a water bottle and coffee. I think it’s really stupid to charge guests for things that should be free. Secondly, our shower door didnt completely close, so water would leak out every time a create a puddle. There was also a weird odor from the bathroom every now and then. Our sheets had a visible stain on it and the pillows sucked. There was also a very bad odor in the elevator. Location is close to Manhattan and decor is cute. I will not be staying again based on the cleanliness.

While the concept of the hotel is really cute, the rooms are incredibly small, much smaller than they seem in the photos. The room I was initially put had a wonderful view as it was on the top floor, unfortunately it was very noisy because the HVAC system was on top of it. I was put in a different room after a little back and forth with hotels.com and the hotel staff and I was much happier with this room as it was quiet. There was no full sized mirror in the room without a design or a partition on top of it so it was hard to do makeup and get dressed. Freddy and Paul from the reception were really nice and helpful, there was one other person apart from them who was a little difficult to communicate with about the noise I was facing in my room as he kept insisting that I had been upgraded and I should be grateful for the room I was in and not complain about the noise, my issue was only resolved once his shift was over and Paul came in. The hotel has quirky little cute details, like they offer pineapple shaped cookies in the afternoon, they have a really cute tea/coffee/water bar at the reception, there's a coffee maker in the room, the beds and blankets are comfy, they offer free water bottle in the room and I also got free snacks. Overall, the hotel is nice, the staff cared about my experience and the location is also great sandwiched between 8th and 9th avenue in the heart of midtown.

Great location, and very efficient room! It was definitely tiny- but that's to be expected for NYC. I love that they had water bottles and a water filling station with both sparkling and still available to the guests! We came here because they are dog friendly and in that department they definitely delivered- the team was super helpful and welcoming to my pup. There are no refrigerators in the rooms and my pup eats fresh food so I was worried it would all spoil but when we asked the team they were able to put it in the hotels main fridge and just gave me the portion I needed twice a day! Definitely would recommend especially if you are traveling with your pup!

Property is great and close to Times Square. The room was large and very clean and the bed was super comfy. There was no street noise which is a big plus! The only complaint which others have mentioned too is that the shower water leaks into the bathroom since there is no barrier stopping the flow of water. Otherwise it was perfect. Would stay here again

Micro room.... The AC unit in the window actually touch the bed. The Wi-Fi is weak at best throughout my stay. Check in staff was borderline rude. Check out staff was friendly. Location is greatly. Facility is clean.

Great option for NYC, and the room was well appointed but be aware that the room is small even by NYC standards. The only challenge with that was that there really wasn't an adequate place to work. If I didn't need to work in the room I would stay again.

Nice and clean hotel, and the staff was lovely and very helpful. However, the room was tinier than most tiny NYC spaces! There was no room to walk at all on one side of the bed, and when something fell over the side, we had to move the whole bed to find it.

Great location and staff. Most rooms in the city are on the small side but this room in particular is very small. They provide you with refillable water bottles, easily refilled in lobby with filtered water.

The resort fee is a joke. There are no resort options. There is a reusable but inexpensive water bottle with filtered water in the room. No gym, no amenities really except for a pineapple shaped cookie in the afternoon. It would be more honest to eliminate the fee and just raise the rates if that is what they want to do. The front desk staff at checkout was very nice. We called ahead of time to see if our room would be ready early and they said it would but we were not able to get into the room until exactly 4:00. Location was decent - close to Penn Station.

It is a very convenient location near Penn station trains. One of the staff, Freddie I believe was his name, was terrific with nearby restaurant recommendations.

Booked room on hotels.com Ubered from airport and was told room was not available upon arrival. Had to drag suitcases around New York until a hotel with room available was found.

The staff here is amazing. I’m not easy to please and they were soooooo great!!!

As NY hotels go this is in a great central location, small but comfortable room. Check-in staff lacked customer service skills. Being in a supervisory position at a resort/spa greeting guests in a friendly welcoming manor is paramount at our property.

My experience at the Hotel was excellent. On my way out I was greeted by Kayla and another desk attendant who were both incredible hospitable, but also funny and friendly. Great job, your whole team is excellent.

Such a cute hotel!! I booked this hotel because it was so close to our favorite bagel shop as well as MSG, and my husband has always loved anything with a Pineapple on it. I can’t say anything bad about it. I’ve never been to a hotel with friendlier staff! We were greeted every time we walked into the lobby. They provided us with a sweet treat for our anniversary, and it made us feel so special. Thank you to the staff to making our trip even better!

My stay started great with a very warm welcome and kind and helpful staff. But quickly deteriorated into one of the most rude and incompetent service possible. From keeping a food delivery for over an hour without letting me know it is here to knocking on my door at 11:55 to tell me checkout was at 12, I'll be charged for the extra and i have 1h to leave. That is after i apologized for oversleeping.

It’s a very cute hotel with very nice staff. I just wish it was in a nicer neighborhood. I do appreciate that the front door is locked. I probably wouldn’t stay there again, just because of the location.

Ideal location - perfect walking distance for 2-night concert at the Garden and a similar distance the opposite direction to Times Square

The property is central located, easy access to anywhere. We had room in high floor, so no noise.

Hotel is located up a quiet (for new York) street. Very central for excursions and subway. Staff were very nice We got a circular voucher on arrival for a free beer or wine but the whole time we were there it was only soft drinks or confectionery. Bed comfy. Room service every other day. Only negative was the down and outs injecting themselves literally outside the hotel. We saw several used injections and one guy totally out of it with needle still in his arm. All in all a good stay but not worth £1600 for 5 nights.

The staff and property are nice but the area is less than desirable. The streets are filthy and the number of people sleeping on the sidewalks and visibility intoxicated was disturbing.

Great location for the subway and Train station at Penn. walking distance to Times Square and Broadway. I liked the hotel theme as well as the European bedding.

It's right on the cusp of it being sketchy but also 10 minute walk to many great attractions, the room was a bit too small even though I knew it would be so I won't go back but it's really nice Tons of good little touches, the window shades were NOT blackout shades so I woke up at 5 AM every day which wasn't ideal.

Fantastic hotel, 0nly 10 minutes walk from Empire State building and Macys. Rooms are very well designed. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Staff were so good when I had arranged my suitcase to be collected by DHL after we had left. DHL did not collect it on agreed date and hotel stored it for free until it was collected the following day. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

What a delightful stay! I hadn’t ever heard of the hotel so I was a teeny reluctant, but other reviews were good so I “went for it”. Excellent location: two blocks from Penn Station, 10 Minute walk to Times Square. Lots of coffee shops, bagel shops, restaurants of every variety right around it. The staff: so wonderful. Completely accommodating, kind, friendly. The rooms: spotless. Tiny but NO KIDDING! It’s NYC and I came here to see stuff and sleep. Not hang out in a hotel room. Although it was completely comfortable. They do this “European duvet” Thing on the bed. King size bed, two personal duvets….. I LOVE this. Can’t WAIT to come back. This IS where I’ll stay next time. Maybe I shouldn’t be so glowing - I don’t want to get “booked out” next time 💜😊

I like this hotel because of its location. The rooms are small but comfortable. I like that you get 2 free beverages but the only beverage available at this location was soda. I could, however, get bottle water for my room. These perks are part of a hospitality fee that was required. Other locations I have stayed in had more options.

Unique concept very well done. Each detail of the room was thought out and while small, it didn’t feel cramped. Room and lobby were very clean. Alll the little extras (free bottled water, robes, cookies etc.) were pleasant surprises. Staff was super friendly and accommodating! Only suggestion would be to add some sort of foot rest in the shower (for ease of shaving). Location was great-central to all we wanted to do. Would definitely stay again.

My wife and I loved the the hotel as soon as we walked in! Friendly staff and great decor! Room was extremely comfortable and very well designed. The twin duvet comforters were a great idea. All the pineapple touches were in good taste and well done.Coaster trade in from the fridge appreciated. Check out was easy. We understand they are waiting for beer and wine permits- We wished it had a little larger lounge area, with a bar and foods. But there was no shortage to choose from nearby. Great location when attending an event at the Garden and convenient to/from Penn Station.
