Great place to stay! Single rooms are perfect if you'd like to have your privacy and do not want to spend on Hilton :) You have your own little bathroom included. Kitchen is tiny but equipped enough for guests' needs. Reception staff is very helpful and will advise and organize everything you need during your stay in Monteverde. One of the best hostels I've ever been. Will miss that place!

I stayed in a private room, which was very nice and spacious. The bed was very comfortable, and having my own bathroom was a big plus. The water pressure in the shower was quite weak, but on the positive side, this was one of the few hostels I stayed in that had warm water. Nights in Monteverde can get quite cold, so I asked for an extra blanket for the second night, which was provided without any issue. The hostel is in an excellent location, making it easy to get around. Breakfast at the restaurant next door (with a 10% discount for guests of OutBox Inn) was also very good and definitely worth it. The only downside for me was the atmosphere. I had expected a slightly more social vibe, but it felt like most people preferred to keep to themselves. Of course, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, but I was hoping for a bit more interaction with other travelers.

I stayed two nights in a private room, the ladies on reception were so friendly and helpful with helping book my activities, they’ve really created a welcoming and chilled vibe. The kitchen and outdoor area is lovely. There’s everything you need both in the property and nearby. It was very chilly at night but was provided with extra blankets, the strong wind was a little noisy with plants hitting my window but I didn’t mind and always take earplugs in case of outside noise. It was super clean. Bed was comfortable. I think for a hostel and budget stay it’s a great.
