Hyatt House San Jose Airport

Loved the room…room & bathroom very clean & interior design & furnishings, first class. Very nice pool! All the staff I encountered were pleasant & professional. I will stay there next trip to San Jose area.

Really great spacious room. Quiet. Spacious modern bathroom. Clean. Complimentary breakfast was decent with cold and hot options (scrambled eggs, hash browns, bacon, waffles). Cereal, fruits, bagels, juices, milks. Complimentary water/tea/coffee station all day in the lobby. Only issue we had was parking. Hyatt House and Hyatt Place share a parking lot that's not big enough for both. On our second night, 30 cars had to park on fire lane curbs throughout the parking lot because all the parking spots are taken. Staff said that was okay and no one would be cited. Definitely not ideal, especially while paying $15/night to park. This would be my hotel of choice in San Jose on subsequent visits.

Excellent, highly recommended. Prompt and free airport shuttle. You just need to reserve your time slot.

We were told when we walked in the bar was closed because the bar tender called in sick. Upon entering our room there was a terrible smell and noticed food was left in the trash. The front desk girl was apologetic and offered us free water and gave us a new room which was much better. The next morning was an awful scene when trying to make our flight. The van was supppsed to pick up by 5:30 but did not until 5:40. We had a 6:30 flight and was told the 5am shuttle was full. Thankfully we made our flight but it was tight.

Dirty bait & switch! SHUTTLE NOT a guarantee, and for early morning flights, very unlikely?! I booked this for one night, purely based on its claim to have a shuttle service to the adjacent airport. However, (although the location is .5 miles from the airport), the shuttle only runs every half hour, and only takes 7 people at a time? So for my 6:30 am flight, Hyatt House refused me for their 5AM (earliest shuttle they have) AND the 5:30 …. because it was pre-booked by AIRLINES who have crews staying here. The front desk person made clear that Hyatt House feels zero inclination to help guests who aren’t among the first 7 to “first come first served” request shuttle service. Yet ironically she claimed it’s “first come first served up to only 7 people” just after admitting the full shuttle was pre-booked by the airline for their crew, so really, there was never a shuttle service available to me at all since I’m not part of an airline crew. Flat out FALSE ADVERTISING. I can think of at least 5 “out of the box” alternative solutions Hyatt House could execute to get me to the airport, but Hyatt House says this isn’t their problem to resolve and that I just need to make my own arrangements. I wonder what happens after the 7th person comes down for the promised “breakfast included”. Is that only for the first seven people (but really only flight crews) also?

I was pleasantly surprised with the Hyatt Hotel. The employees were friendly and attentive. I will be using this hotel in the future. It was clean. The gym was nice. And the pool was a fun family area. I mainly enjoyed the kitchen amenities. I highly recommend the stay.

We come to the Bay Area to stay a dozen times per year. Pros: very clean, decent complementary breakfast, plenty of pool towels, very nice cleaning and food staff. Cons: we’ve stayed here 2 times before - The pool is always cold, some front desk staff were nice, but not helpful or trained in customer service (responses to a request or a mention of an issue we’re met with lack luster responses and no solution. The first night people were talking loudly up and down halls from 1-2am, third night neighbors in adjoining room played loud music during the day and at night at 1am waking us up. Front desk made a phone call to them and it stopped until the next morning and continued until checkout. No help from security.

My flight was cancelled and I needed a place to stay by the airport. What sold me on this property was the free shuttle (yay!) the advertised bar and restaurant (argh). The bartender showed up over an hour late and the selection of wines was ONE … very cheap bottle. Very sad. The menu was frozen chicken wings and nachos… and maybe a sad hot dog that has been reheated BC. Thank god for Tito’s vodka and DoorDash. Don’t go for the ambience or evening vibe. (It doesn’t exist). Breakfast was typical soggy potatoes and …. wait they had an omelette bar!!! Three stars for the omelette bar, clean sheets and free shuttle.

Stayed second time at Hyatt House, the first time ok 👌 and you understand that it can’t be ideal but the second (last) stay was terrible. A/C didn’t work properly, and always blew cold. The bed creaked, breakfast was very poor and I would say it’s ok compared to the smell of sewage that was in the entire building on the second day of stay. So I will think many times before choosing this Hotel again.

We had an issue with ants

It seems like the room I stayed was not used for a while. Saw some bugs in the bathroom.

This was my second visit to this property- had a lovely first trip so was excited to revisit and stay here again. Staff is wonderful so no complaints there. The room we booked was on 3rd floor, and was nice and spacious, bed was comfy, good pillows, quiet. Cons: tv remote didn’t work so had to get maintenance to come up. The phone didn’t work either so used cell phone to call front desk. Blinds remote didn’t work either so couldn’t open or close blinds entire trip. Found out hard way after getting leftovers and some small groceries that our fridge didn’t work. Had to toss everything out next day which was expensive. Made complaint to staff and they said they’d credit account. On last night, we had a MAJOR ant infestation. We were out all day and didn’t get back in until 11pm and by that time our room was covered in ants. We got most cleaned up ourselves because we were way too tired to have to transfer all our stuff to another room at that hour. Staff had offered other room but just was too much by that hour. Just overall disappointing and frustrating for the price paid I’m sure this was just an older room or just an off experience but honestly probably won’t book here again. Only got a small credit on the room for the trip which hardly covered the lost food cost…

I found a blood stain on the blanket even after having the room service

My recent stay at this property was unsatisfactory due to several small safety and cleanliness issues. Upon arrival, some of the kitchen lights flickered or didn’t turn on at all. More seriously, later in my stay I became stuck in the bathroom for over 30 minutes despite the lock being unlocked and had to call maintenance to get me out. Maintenance also struggled to get me out for longer than 10 min. This was not only inconvenient but also a clear safety hazard. In addition, the room did not appear to be properly cleaned. The bathroom trash had not been emptied, the tissue box was already partially used, the kitchen floor had not been swept, and there was a strong musty, humid odor throughout the space. I sprayed it with room deodorizer but the smell persisted. These issues reflect a lack of attention to basic guest needs and facility upkeep.

The property itself was great. Our room layout was very accommodating and I would consider staying here again. My only issue was that in our dining area, I noticed there were ants around the center island. Whomever had stayed before us must had left food and other crumbs out to the point where ants were able to locate and check for anything edible for their colony. I had to use the towel with dish soap to throw off their scent and trail and that did the trick. It was annoying though that we had to go through that not just on our first night but also the second night. Besides that the room and property would have been a 5 star rating. I would consider coming back here again but just make sure to check your dining room area before you start placing your personal belongings down.

We had one night stay during a conference in the area. Unfortunately after getting in late we noticed our room was 82 degrees. We called the front desk twice to let them know and they said they would try and get a fan. No fam. No a/c. I requested a refund through Expedia and waited for them to contact the hotel to confirm the issue. Nothing was done and the hotel lacked initiative to make it right. Homeless were outside congregating and the doors of the hotel remained locked throughout the night. We were very disappointed and will not stay again. Please be aware that the hotel manager was the person who communicated with Expedia to deny any compensation for a horrible experience.

When I checked in, I reminded the front desk employee that I requested a quiet room because I’m a very light sleeper. He said my assigned room is in a quiet area. My room was 1 floor above the buildin’s air conditioning units so it sounded like trucks idling outside my window. I slept 3 hrs my first night. The telephone and iron were nonfunctional. The front desk told me they couldn’t replace my iron until the supervisor arrived at 8:30 am. I requested to speak to the hotel manager and front desk staff , Jose Solorio, informed me that there was no hotel manager that Saturday, Oct 19. I knew this was incorrect because I’ve never stayed in a hotel where a hotel manager was not available on a Saturday. Most especially a Hyatt! I spoke to another front desk staff to request to be moved to another room. She told me there would be a quiet room available but it would not be ready until later in the day which was not a problem for me. When I returned, my room was given to another guest. Chris, the manager, approached and said he would find a quiet room which he did. On my last evening before checkout, I asked the front desk staff to send a shuttle at 8:30 pm to the airport for my pickup because I was returning my car. She said she would. I arrived at the pickup point at 8:25 and she called me at 8:35 asking if I needed a shuttle!!! The shuttle did not arrive until 8:45 pm. There’s so much miscommunication between staff members and it’s the guests who pay the consequences!

There was one day with no hot water in the bath

Manager and team was very polite. Breakfast was good, WiFi was an issue for me and put me behind in work as well as school I am not sure why.

Very clean and comfortable room. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was well supplied and good. Room was more than I expected. It was a suite with separate living area. Hotel was very modern and affordable.

Love the large rooms especially with the full kitchen and refrigerator is a plus!

My wife and I love this hotel for our San Jose Visits. Near the airport and generally a good stay. But on our recent Memorial Day weekend, we discover some minor hiccups with our stay. First, on the holiday weekend, there was inadequate car spaces. The Hyatt House San Jose Airport shares parking lot with the Hyatt Place, so when we came back late, there was only one spot left. We discovered in the morning that other guests coming in later, had to illegally park. Second, we had a 5th floor room and the shower pressure was non existence. Since the shower head fixture is not handheld, it was a pain to shower, taking much longer time. Third, the omelette station was closed the entire weekend, or at least after 8 am when we came down to breakfast. Going back to parking, it is not free, use an app to pay, which makes the lower price of hotel stay a little disingenuous. Overall, we had a good stay, but for the price we paid and the lack of amenities advertised, we may pause for future booking.

There is no way to have a black out room. The way their curtains are set up, there’s always late that’s going to come in from the top.

I was stuck in traffic for 4hrs due to the interstate closure and missed my flight. I was able to get a same day reservation at this location. Once I made it on site the staff was super understanding the stress of an unplanned extra day on vacation. they waived the parking fees, honored my Hyatt rewards (even though I didn’t book through them) and kept the bar open a little later so I could relax. I’m definitely going to stay here my next business trip

We drove 3 hours to get to San Jose. We tried checking in a little early(about 1:30pm) because we were heading to a concert and it started at 5. They told me that the room wasn’t ready and it was being inspected so we had to wait til the actual check in time, 3:00pm. No problem! So we came back at 3Pm and the front desk told us that our room still wasn’t ready and it would be another 30 minutes before our room could be ready. Reminder, the concert we were attending started at 5 and my wife still had to get ready and do her hair. So I said, “fine” we had no other choice, but I saw that they were checking in other people that kept showing up. So once that 30 minutes passed by, I went back to the front desk to check in, and they tried to have me wait another 30 minutes, until I told them that I had enough time waiting. They were checking in everyone else but us! My wife had to do her hair in the bathroom down at the lobby!!!! We didn’t get into our room til about 4PM and to top it off, they downgraded us to a regular room even though I got the suite. A whole hour late. We rushed in to get ready and were pretty late to our concert thanks to this hotel

First time staying at Hyatt House in San Jose. What a great experience from first step in lobby and being welcomed by Cecilia at the front desk. Cecilia was so amazing! Super friendly and helpful, such amazing service. So informative and made sure if we needed anything to just give her a call at the front desk or just ask anytime we were in the lobby. Cecilia went above and beyond my expectations...really top notch service!

The employee who checked me in was incredibly rude and unhelpful. She straight up lied to me and thought she would get away without helping me until she found out I spoke Spanish and caught her in her lie. Plenty of choices around here, will go elsewhere next time because of the behavior of this employee (Veronica).

This is a very convenient hotel for airport access or meetings in the North First St San Jose area. It is a clean concept and well run. Breakfast is better than most included breakfasts and coffee was exceptional. This is not a resort property but a super convenient and easy hotel.

Went for the game and rode the train. It was great and a very short walk.

Staff was nice and welcoming. Was allowed to check in an hour early, but was placed in a room right next to elevator and ice machine. Purpose of travel was to attend a sunday night 49ers game. Was disappointed after the game to find that the hotel bar was closed. A few guests who also had attended the game were disappointed to find the bar closed. Having dennys next door is nice, being in an area with little evening dining options. Breakfast was good and morning staff was great. Overall, great stay.

Clean and the rooms had a nice layout. Right next to light rail so trains going by a lot. They are not super loud, but if you can get a room on the wing away from the street it may be better.

The hotel is nice and clean but not in a good neighborhood.

The rooms and property is great. Staff is horrible. After repeated written and verbal requests staff had failed to prepare the room as requested. Had to have them come do it after check in. One reason I stay at Hyatt House is the Omelette breakfast bar. This bar was closed for the day, no reason was given. The resulting food of scrambled eggs and potatoes was outright cold. The toaster apparatus was set at a high temperature and was blackening the bagels or breads. The controls were hidden. When requested to change settings, it was done with lack of enthusiasm. Very disappointed. A very poorly managed property.
