Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh Airport

The hotel was as expected for an overnight airport stay. The little convenience store downstairs was great to buy some snacks for the evening.

Very convenient! An easy walk from the airport terminal, the hotel provided us with a comfortable first night in Scotland after a long flight and before picking up our rental car the next morning (also an easy walk to the rental car center). Limited but sufficient bar menu for the evening meal and a good breakfast buffet in the morning. Aside from extremely slow elevators/lifts, absolutely no complaints.

Short and easy walk to Edinburgh Airport and therefore, several transportation options to Edinburgh city and back. They even have trolleys onsite for your luggage. Staff are very friendly and courteous. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable. Booked the night before a very early am flight. They allowed us to check in early, took tram back to city to explore a bit more.

This is an nice enough hotel but not luxury by any stretch. It is an expensive hotel for it's basic standard. I mean I noted some rooms were around £400 for the same night of our stay. I got the hotel for sround £260 when booking (way in advance thankfully). It is Ok for 1 night. I was attending a gig at The Royal Highland Showground so it was very convenient for what we needed with it being nearby and the parking availability for £15 per night. The room seemed clean enough. I did notice some red scum around the x2 sinks in the toilet. I rubbed it with a tissue and it came off so it could be adequately cleaned if the correct products are used. Cant comment on food as didnt have anything. Husband had a pint, £7-£8 so usual hotel prices.

No airport shuttle...really??? Food no acceptable with the exception of the free breakfast .... otherwise order out.

Very good service all round, help from check in staff to charge our electric car, which was free. So we woke up with a fully charged car and had a good buffet breakfast. Nice choice. The room was very clean and comfortable

Having the restaurant and bar is perfect.

The elevators were out so that was inconvenient but the staff were very willing to assist you with your luggage if you needed assistance. The free breakfast was excellent, lots of choices of hot and cold items

Room had quite a few carpet stains and linens had tears. Restaurant in the hotel was quite bad.

Room and bed very good. Food perfectly adequate, public areas quite dirty.

Not abad hotel but needs to be checked over and some improvements made. Room a bit tired. Chipped paint along skirtings. Sofa bed very uncomfortable, felt every spring. Shower had no pressure at all, poor showerhead. Tea/coffee facilities not up to scratch. Not enough sugars etc, also there was no spoons so not sure how you were to make a cuppa. Breakfast in the morning was poorly stocked and untidy, staff were not replenishing

Great location to airport - 5 minute walk. Counter tops in room were not wiped down and were sticky otherwise room was fine. OK place to stay before or after flying.

Food was mediocre. Drinks were very expensive. Bathroom had black mould in shower. Would I use again? Only if there was no other option.

Room clearly hadn’t been hoovered. Cut my foot on broken glass. Had to check the entire room and found 5-6 pieces, some pretty large.

Stayed here before and after my holiday. Very close to the airport terminal. Easy walk, even with a large,heavy suitcase. Rooms were nice and clean.

Perfect location to stay before an early morning flight from Edinburgh Airport. Staff was excellent, room was clean & comfortable and they were able to accommodate our request for an early check-in. Food & drinks were available.And in spite of being near the airport our room was quiet. We got a great nights sleep!

Just a single overnight stay convenient to Edinburgh airport - safe, easy 10 minute walk into the terminal. Very quiet in the room, could barely hear aircraft or traffic - perfect for a restful sleep prior to departure.

The safe in room was not working and there is no maintenance on a Sunday to rectify any issues, that's very poor. Naomi the duty manager did what she could, but this was a frustrating issue. I've never stayed at a hotel where maintenance issues can't be resolved at the weekend! Breakfast is good, bed comfortable. Expedia showed parking as £12 per night, hotel said it should be £15, but honoured price shown on Expedia. TV is not smart TV, it has functionality, but it's only capable of freeview.

The soundproofing was excellent. We didn’t hear any airplanes despite the fact that we were walking distance to the airport. The staff was exemplary (front desk, bar area, breakfast area). Beds very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Clean efficient short stay with decent enough breakfast included and professional staff. But $300 for a room with no fridge? I know it's Britain but just feels lazy given that it's an international airport. Was good to walk to the terminal though, which is why I picked it.

It struck me as very odd and annoying that this hotel does NOT provide face clothes - just larger towels. Also, some of the light switches either didn't work or were hard to figure out. There was free in room coffee and tea making supplies but no stir sticks. Also no glasses for drinking water. The shower arrangement also struck me as odd, no shower curtain and only 1 glass panel -whereas 2 would be needed to close off the shower entrance and prevent water from flowing into the center of the bathroom, such that I wondered if I was given a room needing further maintenance to properly complete the bathroom. Easy walkable distance to the airport was the saving grace.

Perfect place for the airport. Very clean and comfortable. opening a window would have been preferred. Bit of mould in the bathroom. Nothing on booking to say restaurant which does evening food, this could be clearer as we made a point of eating early as it wasn’t clear food could be purchased. Breakfast was ok, liked veggie sausages and haggis, but no mushrooms! Basic but good! Most relaxing trip we’ve made, at the airport within 5 minutes of leaving the hotel by walking.

It really met expectations. I didn't expect first rate accommodations, and I didn't get it. Mostly a clean, comfortable room. Good mattress and just OK pillows. Dark room... great! Just OK breakfast, but better than many. Some off-putting 'eco', and probably legislated oddities, like a 'Master Switch' (not key-card operated) at the door which not only controls the lights and outlets, but also resets the HVAC. Whaaa? The HVAC will not go lower than 19 degrees C (66 degrees F). I sleep hot and need a cold room. And why does every room now have the following issues: An Artic-quality duvet. I have to pull it out of it's cover and use the cover only. These rooms don't ever get cold enough for that kind of thermal protection. A half-door / wall shower. Seriously, whomever sold all these hotels on this idea should either be awarded a medal for fooling the most people, or be put away forever. Water goes all over the floor and wall. It's ludicrous. ECO desires to reuse towels but only one hook. Sometimes no hooks. No towel bar or multiple hooks for multiple towels. Whaaaa? You want me to reuse the towels? I'm good with the concept, but give me the tools to do just that. No washcloths. They actually save water. I also use them to wipe up the sink counter and possibly the floor if I get it wet. Help me help you. Some of the staff were very helpful. Some just existed and were moderately helpful. And a side note. The architect of this hotel needs psychological help.

AC never worked even after maintenance came twice.

Last hotel before we went home, unfortunately we weren’t able to do the breakfast as we had an early flight. Beds were comfortable enough for the one night.

Clean room and what eas required for a night before flying. Long wait at check in unfortunately, more staff would help. Food in the expensive side for the quality of ehat you get.

Was able to get an early check in which allowed us to spend the afternoon in the city without worrying about our luggage. Very convenient just a five minute walk to terminal. Also breakfast was very nice

The hotel itself was nice, the issue is that is a 10 min walk from the airport, which would be find if all you had was a back pack. Tthe hotel to the airport is rockbase and torn up in places which means your suitcases wheels get torn up. In addition we had to navigate that with gold clubs and serveral suitcases. By the time we got to the hotel are arms were killing us as it takes effort to get suitcase to work on those path. Unless they work with the airport to fix the paths so that they are smooth or better yet paved I would not return and would opt for a hotel with shuttle service.

The food offered in the restaurant was terrible and even difficult to eat. The TV barely worked and offered very little in services. Staff at the bar and restaurant were anything but friendly and warm. Typical airport hotel that could care less about the customers.

The property itself was fine and rooms were a good size and clean. Service was largely efficient and in particular the breakfast team were good and great to see food offered so early a big plus. And a good range given we had to leave before hot breakfast was available. In sharp contrast to the evening food offerings. Very average pub fair bit more expensive and smaller. Service took a long time.

Overall our experience was excellent. The hotel is a short walk from the airport and has excellent facilities. The only caution I have is that the advertised breakfast is only a continental breakfast until 6:00am when the hot items started to be served.

Room was basic. Had a meal in the restaurant. Staff were not attentive at all. Our food was under cooked and inedible. No staff around to be able to notify. Would not recommend unless you are using the place solely for sleeping

Did not have breakfast. Had dinner. Too few staff. Long queues to be served. Only 2 staff to do food and serve drinks. Only one of the draught/lager taps functioning. Therefore no beer/lager choice
