Paths could be a little bit more lit up for ease of access, besides that it was a wonderful experience.

Tent and beds were great! Really enjoyed the atmosphere! Met great people at the campfire! The bathroom and shower trailer accommodations were subpar and not sufficient for the amount of people staying. 2 out of 3 shower attempts there was no hot water. These were not during peak times (one late at night and one early morning). Improve these accommodations and its a 5star!!!

Family teepee was a good size, clean and well stocked with blankets. Staff was great and the bonfire with smores was fun. Cornhole, tether ball and swings were fun. Restrooms and showers were clean and there were a good number of them. Great experience!

Bring warm for cold nights. Bathroom facilities not convenient

It was a good experience at Glamping, close to Yellowstone National Park, affordable. Staff was attentive, they had complimentary smores for the kids. Issues with the toilets, some were not working, and there was always a line, Would suggest having more facilities on site.

if anyone would like to have tenting experience , this places is nice. they have newly renovated bathrooms incl showers. portable restroom near tent. they provide tent , beds and comforts. Tent entrance was not closing properly so nights were cold due to cold air into tent. We observed few TPs have zip to close fully

It was Fun but the roads in and out and especially on site were bad. Granted they had some poor weather in the days prior but if we had brought a different vehicle we would not have made it to our tent at all. Considering it is tent the actual tent was very clean and we stayed warm. Walk to bathrooms was short and bathrooms were very clean. Again the minimal maintance made the walk muddy. The might want to consider some type of walkway such as raised planks or concrete to make it safer during poor weather.

This stay was almost as good as it could be for what it is - creature comfort mixed with an actual camping experience. We got a safari tent for our family of 5. Cons: Toilet trailers were busy and at times overflowing (staff did address). Dirt roads were extremely bumpy and need filled. Pros: A great camping experience with less work. The beds were super comfy and solar power to charge phones is great. Feeling off off grid without losing main comforts major plus. We only stayed one night but I have 0 regrets on our choice and we camp both in our camper and plenty of tent camping experience.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, good, clean bathrooms, definitely would go back. Perfect distance from West Yellowstone.

Safari tent was nice with comfortable beds and bedding. Nights were chilly but plenty of blankets were provided that kept us perfectly warm. Staff is friendly and helpful and work hard to keep the property in great condition. Bathrooms were clean and stocked and plenty of towels provided. Loved our stay, would definitely stay again when back in the area.

La tente était cosy, impeccable et très confortable. En revanche les sanitaires n’étaient pas très propres, comme il pleuvait, ça n’aidait pas. Je n’ai pas pu prendre ma douche car le sol et l’intérieur de la douche étaient trop sales. Malheureusement on entend la route. J’ai quand même beaucoup aimé l’expérience.

We absolutely loved our stay! We stayed for 4 nights. We actually choose this place over a hotel that was 5 mins from Yellowstone (which is where we spent most of our time) because we wanted to experience the glamping for the first time. Let me tell you it did not disappoint. Our first night we took the top window covers down and got a surprise thunder and lightning storm and watched it from inside the tent! So awesome. Our second morning we had a moose run behind our tent!!! We got the luxury family tent F9 spot. We were away from other tents which was so nice. The community fire was a fantastic idea and my little one enjoyed the s'mores. Just our personal opinion would be if the weeds/wildflowers around the tent were pushed back about a foot so you could get around the tent to open the windows. We did that in the mornings to air our the tent. Maybe a couple more bathrooms closer to the family tents. I would recommend shower stalls with just a shower and sink and no bathroom but again that's just a personal opinion. Definitely will do this again if we come back in the area. The ideas is great, BUT they need to finished building the Restroom before renting the location out. I stayed for 3 nights and was only able to use the restroom 1 time, the other 2 night i have to wake up and drove 4 miles down the road to use the gas station restroom. No running water, good thing i have a case of water with me, and that what used. The rest room was out off toilet paper and no water.If it rain the road will get muddy and your car will get stuck. The only good thing is the tent was new and clean, BUT NO WATER OR USEABLE RESTROOM. I rather go in the wood, but cant do that. Also you be along cows, be careful where you step…

The tent was very comfortable and surrounded by trees. Although the campground was quiet, you could hear the highway traffic. The grounds were poorly maintained with inadequate mowing around tents and on paths.

Loved staying here. It was hella fun for my kids and the area was amazing. The bathrooms kept having issues and the showers could use an upgrade. Over all we are grateful we had a place to rinse off. Bed was cozy. Provided towels, and extra battery for Charging. Coffee tastes like water. Loved the experience! Staff was great!

The tents are nice including beds. The remainder is disgusting and for the money paid we felt ripped off. Toilets and so showers are dirty and every other camp site has more convenient. The entire property is without any development. Just rough, dusty land. Any facility is improvised and of lowest quality. Calling this glamping and requesting this amount of money is a tourist trap. Do not go there.

Limited bathroom and shower area, always waiting in line, the longest waiting time over 30 minutes. electric supply from solar are so bad, only last for few hours even only used for phone charge and one dim light. No water line other than bathroom.

Nicest bed I slept in for this vacation! It felt great to wake up out in the wilderness and go to Yellowstone.

The property was nice overall. The staff were very nice snd very cooperative. The tents were nice and cozy. There is just one thing that beeds to be inproved is the number of bugs in the tent. There were like a 3 dozen spiders so need to do somethig avout that. The bedding was great. The tents were spacious. There was nice common bonfire area for everyone to sit and chat and do different activities which was very nice. The bathrooms were well maintained and there was abundant hot water for showers as well. The location was also nice and close to shopping areas maybe a 8 to 10 minute drive All in all i would rate the experience at 4 out of 5.

Super comfortable bed and cozy.

I appreciated that they offered extra blankets as it was very cold at night despite bing summer and also having my own one with me. For some reason I didn't think the tent would be really open all the around the bottom for technically many kinds of animals being able to crawl/walk/slither in. We still had a special experience for that one night. It was fun to sit at the fire and show our overseas guests how to make smore's

Stay was nice. Tents are spacious and beds are comfortable. Lots of spiders and other bugs but all together the stay was nice.

Charming. Very clean. Mattresses felt brand new and so comfy. There was so much going on and things to do at the campground, my kids never once complained about the lack of electronic use. Of our 8 day road trip, this was our very favorite night.

It was luxury in the woods. The bed was incredibly comfortable (I slept better than I do at home), and the decor was rustic yet stylish. We had electricity, cozy lighting, and even a little sitting area to enjoy our morning coffee. The Setting The location is unreal. You’re surrounded by pine trees and open skies, and at night, the stars are breathtaking. We watched the Milky Way stretch across the sky—no light pollution, just pure magic. The People The staff were amazing. And the bathrooms…definitely not what I expected! Much better! Felt like I was in a normal restroom! Final Thoughts If you’re looking for a place that blends nature, comfort, and genuine hospitality, this is it. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our next trip back. Starlight Retreat isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to reconnect with nature and yourself.

We stayed in a Yurt, the place was very spacious and comfortable. Only at night in was very cold inside, need some kind of heating. The grass was over grown, showers and bathroom very clean but needs a little attention the shower knobs which were overs flowing.

We booked 3 nights. We left after 1. That should tell you everything. This place is a disaster if you're looking for a relaxing family getaway. It’s not worth your money, your time, or your sanity. Here’s why: * Misleading Photos: What you see online is not what you get. The tent looked clean and cozy in the pictures — in reality, it was worn down and far from spotless. * Filthy Bathrooms: Only one working toilet in the morning, and the floor was disgusting. Not what you want to deal with on vacation. * Severely Underequipped: They don’t tell you this, but there are only a handful of bathrooms for the entire camp. Expect long waits and no hot water depending on the time as it may run out . * Freezing Cold at Night: The bed was warm, but the tent? Ice box. Gaps in the wooden floor and open tent edges let in freezing air all night. I’ve had better insulation in a $50 camping tent. * Bugs Galore: Because the tent isn’t sealed properly, we had spiders crawling in all night. We killed at least five — and found more. If you hate bugs, run. *Highway Noise All Night: The place is right next to a busy highway. So instead of peace and quiet, you’ll fall asleep to the sound of traffic. Not exactly a “retreat”. We tried to cancel the moment we arrived and saw the reality. No luck. We gave it a shot, but after one miserable night, we packed up and left. Bottom line: This place is all style, no substance. If you value comfort, cleanliness, and piece of mind — look elsewhere.

The potential here is fantastic- too bad we didn’t stay here in a year. I do understand why they decided to open and not lose out on the season, but you are walking into a construction site, and not amazing temporary bathrooms. The tipi was really fantastic (needs some more lamps but we managed), the beds were crazy comfy and I slept like a baby. The check in was rough (no staff, I texted 4 hours ahead of our arrival and they only responded at the last minute after I tried to get in touch multiple times), and like I said, the main site is completely unfinished, bathrooms were out of order, construction equipment there… all that being said, when it’ll be done with the permanent bathrooms and the coffee stand, it’s going to be a really cool place to stay. So, skip the 2023 season but give it a shot in 2024.

My card was charged for an extra night by the place 5months after my stay. The charges were labeled recurring for some reason and I had to file a fraud report with my credit card to stop it.

The area is horrible, what this listing fails to mention is that the entire site only has one set of bathrooms that are more dirty than the ones at a public park, absolutely disgusting showers. and it is definitely not "walkable" if you get unlucky with the tent placement then your looking at about a 20 minute walk through bumpy terrain every time you need to use the bathroom. And there is usually a line even outside of what would be considered "busy hours" (I tried going at 5:30am). The place has no AC or heating if you want a heater then you need to pay extra and keep it inside your tent overnight which puts you at risk of carbon monoxide poisoning (but they wont tell you that) We tried to use electricity for making food or anything but the power generator cant handle anything beyond charging your phone. (So if you want to bring an electric heater then also bring your own power because they do not provide sufficient). We realized this immediately and although it says "fully refundable" the staff refused to give us a refund. We purchased insurance with expedia and that didnt even work. When trying to talk with staff they said they wont be giving a refund because they felt bad that they had to turn someone away for being fully booked (We were hoping to at least get a partial refund since we would not be staying the entire weekend). If you are looking for somewhere to stay near yellowstone. Just buy a tent or spend the extra $100 to get an actual hotel or cabin. Tourist trap.

Yes, you sleep in a tepee or yurt, but you are provided with wonderful beds and bedding. No, there is no electricity, but a proper solar battery for what we needed and to run the two lamps provided. Yes, there are portable bathrooms, but are very sufficient for getting ready or preparing for bed. If you want a different experience than a hotel, this is it! We loved waking up to the sound of birds and the crisp morning air! We did not miss hotel style at all! Expect that this is "glamping", and you will be fine. At the welcome tent they provide coffee after 7am, games, cards etc available to take back to your tent, and a fire pit at night. The only 4 I gave it was because personally i would have like for the area around our yurt to be a little more groomed instead of overgrown. But, again, this is not a hotel so it wasnt too big a deal. Our family will definitely stay again when we are in the area! Thank you for the adventure!

Maddie was very welcoming at check in, she made sure we got bear spray, (just incasd) and Towels to shower with. The nught was peaceful and the stars were amazing! We loved the mountain air. The morning we left. BLAKE got my attention and showed me aome moose, and he let me get my daughter so she could see them, sleeping not to far away from our yurt! If you love sleeping under the stars, i recommend this place.

We would stay here time and time again. I love that we got the camping experience without all the stress of packing/setting up/putting away camp gear! The beds and linens were so comfortable. Staff was super nice and even got a fire going after a big storm. Loved it and wk recommend to all our friends!

Off the beaten path for visiting Yellowstone, but an amazing option if you don't mind driving outside town for an extra 20 minutes to get some peace from the crowds and much more reasonable prices. Use the Google pin they email you and not the address!!!! The address using Google maps took us down a dirt road 10 minutes before we tried the pin. The safari tent is such an amazing experience for the kids. Clean, safe, it's definitively "glamping". Shower/bathroom trailer is nice. S'mores in the evening were a big hit with the kids.

I loved this staying here! We had our 8 month old with us and we were able to get the feeling of camping with the convenience of having a safe indoor area for her. And I loved that even though we were out and away from everything, it was still only a 10 minute drive to the store! It was perfect!

We loved staying in the bell tent. It was a very unique experience. It was clean and the staff was excellent. The only negative was the noise of the road traffic nearby. I would stay again!

This property was overall a joy to stay at. I only have a few gripes for my stay. One, the showers are a bit on the smaller side and that’s expected for where the property is located. Next, the water pressure of the shower isn’t the best, if it was better, I probably wouldn’t have had any issues with the property large enough to dissuade me from giving it five stars. Finally, the proximity of the interstate can make falling asleep a bit hard at times, however, these are all small issues at the end of the day. The staff was kind, the living spaces look exactly as advertised and I left the property satisfied.

Great place close to Yellowstone

We had a wonderful time staying at Starlight Retreat. The stars at night were beautiful and the tents were so clean and welcoming. There is a community area to cook and a fire to roast marshmallows too in the evening! It does get pretty cold at night so make sure to bring warm clothes to sleep in even if it’s hot during the day the nights get really cold.

Great experience! There were no stores nearby, so bring your water/snacks. Also, bring some chairs if you want to spend time outside your tent. The bed was comfortable, and the staff were wonderful.

If you want a camping experience but you get to sleep in a real bed, this is it. Plus for a camping-like situation, the bathrooms are AMAZING. The nightly s’mores make this a winner too!

We had a great stay at the Starlight Retreat. My Family stayed in Teepee number one. It was spacious and comfortable. After a long day hiking in Yellowstone it was nice to have a place with comfortable beds to crash. We had plenty of blankets for the cool nights. The shower trailers and bathrooms were clean. Currently they are building shower and bathrooms on sight. The staff was friendly and helpful. Each night they lit a campfire and had smores which allowed for conversation with others who were there in camp. Overall a great experience. It is Glamping at its best. Great luxury tent! Very clean, beautiful grounds, just wish the bathroom was closer, but they were clean, wish coffee and tea were served earlier than 7:30 since we were leaving early to get into park, but overall a great place! Fun, family friendly!
