The room was spotless with all the amenities you need. Shared kitchen with dining area, tea, coffee, cocoa, games and comfortable seating area for relaxing and visiting with the staff and other visitors. We especially appreciated the owners making waffles for us all in the morning, with conversation and suggestions to enhance our visit in the area. Too many stays have no contact with the owners and we have missed the personal contact in the country we are visiting. Loa's Nest was the exception to this. Thank you for one of the best stays on our visit to Iceland.

Loa’s Nest was perfect for our stay. Very nice clean, modern rooms and a great shared kitchen we could use for meal prep. The hosts made waffles for breakfast with their homemade rhubarb jam. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Location is good for exploring the golden circle and southern Iceland.

Very nice guesthouse- extremely clean. The kitchen is small but very well equipped. Waffles and interaction with the staff in the morning is a nice touch. Hosts are very friendly and love to share information about Iceland. Definitely recommend and I would book again.

The rooms are clean, comfortable and affordable. The waffles for breakfast were delicious. This guesthouse is stocked with anything you need, including a communal kitchen and living space. We only had one hiccup when checking out of the accommodation but it was minor. We were in a rush to catch a ferry so I was a little stressed. Be prepared to show your Expedia full payment receipt.

Owners are very friendly and attentive to guests. Great breakfast. Very clean property and spacious rooms. You have to drive to get to the area as it is a little off the hiway, but mostly everyone drives and does an roadtrip anyway in Iceland. Overall Great value for money.

On est autonome et on croise un tas de gens. Cuisine a disposition. On a tout sur place. Je reviendrai ici cest sur.

Very clean guesthouse! As soon as you walk in you get such a pleasant smell. The kitchen has some stuff you can use. The check in process was so easy. They don’t offer breakfast but they do offer free waffles, coffee and tea. Highly recommend this spot, I was very impressed. We stayed at other guesthouses and this one is the top one!!

We loved our stay at Loa’s Nest! Only a short drive from the Golden Circle, this place was a great spot to escape the tourists and see more of the quiet Icelandic countryside. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff were lovely, greeting us with homemade waffles for breakfast in the morning. This was our first stop on our ring road tour and we would highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Our party consisted of six people in three rooms, and each room was warm and welcoming, a pleasant size, and with gorgeous views. The beds are comfortable, and while my pillows were not great for me, I cannot say that that is a problem of the hotel, as it is an issue I have everywhere I go. The bathrooms are a good size, and the showers are spacious, clean, and have fantastic water pressure. The kitchen and public lounge area is comfortable and conducive to conversation, and while it wasn’t until the last day of our stay here that we met our hosts, they were thoroughly friendly and welcoming. Being served cute waffles by Inge as he made them right in front of us was such a homey way to enjoy our breakfast, too. Honestly, we were gone all day and only returned to plop off to sleep, but this guesthouse made it truly feel like being at home, and we loved it. The only minor concerns one or two members of our group had were that there were no face clothes in the bathrooms, nor were there facial tissues. Quite minor issues, really. I would love to tell the world that this is a great place to stay, but part of me also wants to keep it “our wonderful secret,” it is that good.

What a lovely and relaxing place to stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and the host was so friendly and helpful. We were pleased to find a large meeting/dining area where we could play cards, and also enjoy a delicious breakfast prepared by our host in the morning. The area is beautiful and bucolic. We enjoyed our stay here very much!

This is one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed on any trip. Very comfortable. Amazing showers. Comfortable beds. Access to amenities to cook own food and make coffee and tea. My daughter said it was the best hot chocolate ever. In morning you have awesome waffles made for you. I am excited to come visit again!

Reasonable place overall. The hosts were kind and communicated well. Even though there wasn’t an on-site office, we had an issue in our room and they showed up within 5 minutes of reaching out about it. Was a great location for seeing the northern lights, we actually drove down the road a mile or two and sat by a waterfall and watched it. The morning breakfast was great. Overall, the setup is very basic, but it was a good value. We would stay again.

We had an awesome stay! My pictures look like it’s in the middle of nowhere. Very kind hosts- even gave us tips on how to check the roads for our travel. We made new friends as we eat together. Yummy waffles and homemade jam. 👍

We loved our stay at Loa’s Nest! Only a short drive from the Golden Circle, this place was a great spot to escape the tourists and see more of the quiet Icelandic countryside. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff were lovely, greeting us with homemade waffles for breakfast in the morning. This was our first stop on our ring road tour and we would highly recommend to anyone passing through.

Owners are very friendly and attentive to guests. Great breakfast. Very clean property and spacious rooms. You have to drive to get to the area as it is a little off the hiway, but mostly everyone drives and does an roadtrip anyway in Iceland. Overall Great value for money.

The guesthouse was very clean and our host were very kind and gave us useful information. The waffles were great ! The only reason it did not get top rating is that the breakfast could include fruits and a bit of proteins (for example, cheese).

Very clean guesthouse! As soon as you walk in you get such a pleasant smell. The kitchen has some stuff you can use. The check in process was so easy. They don’t offer breakfast but they do offer free waffles, coffee and tea. Highly recommend this spot, I was very impressed. We stayed at other guesthouses and this one is the top one!!

This was a favorite stay during our travels in Iceland. The location was so pretty and quiet, the rooms and common spaces were clean, and Unnur provided a lot of useful travelling tips and local knowledge. There were games available in the common area, and free breakfast waffles in the morning. The hosts were very friendly. I only wish we could have stayed longer!
