SpringHill Suites by Marriott Panama City Beach Beachfront

I really liked that the room had a balcony and that the pool had a lazy river. We were right on the beach which was very convenient. The breakfast was great as well. We ate at the hotels restaurant and at the cafe near the pool both were really good.

I really didn't like the hotel. I went for the beach. The hotel stay was just okay!!!

I stayed at this hotel 5 years ago to celebrate my son’s 1st birthday, and we recently returned for his 5th. Unfortunately, the experience was completely different and extremely disappointing. The only staff member who was friendly was Ethan, who checked us in. Our room keys repeatedly deactivated, and I had to contact the front desk 3 times before maintenance was finally sent up. The room and property were also very dirty. The shower had mold and hair, and the carpet was so dirty that I had to clean my children’s feet before bed because of how much dirt came off their feet. The room was also missing basic items like a laundry bag, trash bags, and soap. What made it worse was the attitude of the staff when we asked for help. The housekeeping staff were especially rude and unhelpful. Five years ago, this property was spectacular. Now, it is very clear that it has been neglected and the overall guest experience has declined significantly. I’ve worked in hospitality for nearly 10 years, including housekeeping and front desk, and I now work in hotel finance management. I understand that issues happen, but this felt like a lack of care and attention to the property and guests. It’s truly sad to see such a beautiful property become neglected. We came back to create another special birthday memory, but unfortunately, this stay was one we won’t forget for the right reasons.

The cleaning staff didnt speak ery good English. The patio in my room was dirty. The mattress to the pullout was tattered and had holes around the edges. The check in staff took too long to check us in. It took me roughly 22min just to check in. Staff did not smile. The elevator went out on the 2nd day there and remained that way until my departure. Housekeeping services were not organized. They came when they weren't scheduled. When I tried to call my room from another area it went to the busy signal even though it was not in service. The curtain to the room was also broken so opening the curtains was a big struggle. I made my reservations online and when I arrived (already paid) and checked in, they surprised me with extra fees for parking. I was not aware until I was there. I was under the impression this was a higher class establishment but it seems as though it was not.

We loved our stay, the hotel has a Starbucks!!
