The cabins that way stayed for two nights definitely exceed our expectations. The descriptions on Expedia turned out to be an understatement of the humanities that the place actually provides. For example in our cabin there is a full kitchen with cookware, utensils, fridge, microwave, coffee and tea. These amenities are also provided in the community room which is one minute walk from our cabin. The view from our cabin living room is the canal which is really beautiful. The staff there was very helpful and accommodating. We also took advantage of their kayak rental and did kayaking in the canal. The only thing I felt wasn't the best is that this place is right by highway 101, therefore at night you could hear the cars driving by and sometimes even feel the vibration. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. It was only a 30-minute drive to Olympic national Park staircase rapids, another short drive to high steel bridge which is a historic landmark, a few minutes drive to potlatch State Park. There are some dining options close by as well. Overall we had a great stay at this property.

All of the staff were very helpful and very nice. The room was in good condition with a nice close view of the puget sound just off your rooms back porch. Small hotel only a handful of rooms, handful of RV spots, and laid out in a nice fashion for all to have a view. Just be aware that the office closes at 8:00pm in case you need anything like towels, soap, etc., or you will have to wait until morning. They also have some cool t-shirts in the office for sale

Room 27 - very spacious, clean, comfortable beds, a real freezer on the frig, awesome shower head with shower massage, very welcoming and helpful staff and campground host, beautiful view of Hood Canal, firepits next to the water. Loved it!

The check in process was quick and easy. The room was very spacious and clean. The property had laundry and even sold ice. The bed was comfortable and all of the amenities you could need were in the room. Friendly front desk service too!

I really loved this place. The room was big, super clean, and inviting. The bed was really comfortable. The shower (always a quality test for me) was large and water flow was great. The room had a lovely little balcony facing a stretch of the Hood Canal, which made for a beautiful setting. We called to say we'd be arriving a little late, and the proprietor kindly made sure to set up our door code ahead of time so we could get into our room in the absence of anyone at the desk. All of this at a really great price! We were staying only one night, but I'll definitely go back for a more extended stay at some point.

Overall a real nice stay. It has the potential to be a "5". The room had a kitchenette with cupboards but no amenities like cups, plates, flatware or even a toaster. Also some sound proofing would help with the ability to hear the TV in the next room. We liked the spacious room and balcony overlooking the water and would definitely recommend this lodge.

This was a very large room, with parking right off the US-101 north of Shelton. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room had a table and two chairs plus a little area that contained the refrigerator/freezer and the microwave, which we enjoy for our after-dark dinner.

Beautiful views. If you get a ground floor with a patio, make sure there are not RV's in your way. Our view was initially blocked by several large RV's. The manager on duty changed us to an upstairs room-fortunately.

Great location on the water. Very clean and room was mostly updated. Shower/tub was older, but clean. Bed was not very comfortable. Some road noise at night because it’s near the highway. Overall a good value if you’re in the area.

We received a text message within 4 hours of arrival about our check out and it was inappropriate. The community offers many family friendly activities but they are not equipped in the summer months to manage the increased volume. In addition, they increase pricing. If pricing is increased, as a consumer who travels the world I expect increased and distinguished service.

Good property. Everything was great including the place and the view of the lake. But the restriction related to flexibility in checkout is disappointing even though we were with them for 2 days. They were asking for $25 for even half an hour of extension.

This was our fifth time staying at this little roadside stop. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs because it is right on the road. But we always find it very comfortable. The staff is always amazing. And the whole area is loaded with little towns. Excellent antiquing.

We stopped here for a night during a drive up the peninsula. I would definitely recommend it as a great stopover. The room is so spacious, with a couch and table, decent kitchenette, and king size bed. Added bonus of a back deck and table with a beautiful view. The only drawback is proximity to the highway and traffic sounds. That didn't bother us but if you'd sensitive to those things it's good to know. But I think the positives far outweigh this concern. Simple and nice.

We stayed for two nights to kyak Lake Cushman and hike at Staircase in the Olympic National Park. This was the perfect place to stay, it was close to that area and was comfortable to get a good night's sleep after long days. We had a view of the Hood Canal from our room where we watched some seals playing. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice place right up against the water. Room is nice, even though it’s right up against the main road, it’s pretty loud, hoping traffic dies down. Other than that this is a nice place. Lady at the front desk was really nice and helpful

The rooms were great! We were able to check in early and the woman who checked us in was friendly and helpful. It is right on the hwy with no sidewalks so we had to drive a few miles to find places off the hwy to walk/run. Otherwise it was great

Great location! Close to Hoodsport restaurants, and not far from gorgeous Lake Cushman for outdoor water activities. The deck off the room was an amazing spot to watch full and red moon(s) rising while enjoying a game of Scrabble and a martini!

This was a hidden gem. Cheapest place we stayed out of 5 locations. We had a nice, clean and spacious room overlooking the water with a king sized comfy bed. We walked out to the beach and immediately saw 2 seals or sea lions swimming just a few feet away. The place was completely full and we didnt hear a peep from anyone. I think they even had paddle boards you could rent or maybe even borrow. Kinda wish we had more time out there. Had a great dinner at the casino down the road

The cabins that way stayed for two nights definitely exceed our expectations. The descriptions on Expedia turned out to be an understatement of the humanities that the place actually provides. For example in our cabin there is a full kitchen with cookware, utensils, fridge, microwave, coffee and tea. These amenities are also provided in the community room which is one minute walk from our cabin. The view from our cabin living room is the canal which is really beautiful. The staff there was very helpful and accommodating. We also took advantage of their kayak rental and did kayaking in the canal. The only thing I felt wasn't the best is that this place is right by highway 101, therefore at night you could hear the cars driving by and sometimes even feel the vibration. But otherwise we really enjoyed our stay. It was only a 30-minute drive to Olympic national Park staircase rapids, another short drive to high steel bridge which is a historic landmark, a few minutes drive to potlatch State Park. There are some dining options close by as well. Overall we had a great stay at this property.

Cute place!! Nice double rooms, bed wasn’t the comfiest but wasn’t bad and the balcony view was perfect!! Good hot water pressure to. Woke up to watch the sunrise!! Better coffee selection would be nice, there is a kurig with only one coffee option mild blend and only 2 pods. Were big coffee people so a dark roast and 2-3 cups per person would have been a huge step up for us.

Our room had a great view and enjoyed our stay. Even with the RV parking in front of our view we still enjoyed this location. The front desk lady was very kind and helpful. We will choose this place again when we travel to this region.

We stayed in one of the economy cabins. It was extremely nice. Everything was very thoughtfully designed and maintained. The only downside was our heads were right next to the highway and lots of Harley motorcycles and trucks came through. But after I started sleeping with ear plugs in everything was lovely. It's a beautiful environment and we had coffee in the morning sitting down by the lake with geese and seals. Very enjoyable.
