Room was cozy and clean plus nice amenities and good storage space. Comfortable bed. However, combination of the various scents in the shower (shower gel, shampoo, conditioner) and especially the very aromatic incense in the bathroom was overwhelming, and we had to have a fan on and window open in the room most of the time. I noticed that both of us were leaving next day with a headache. Coffee and tea in the kitchen is a big plus including popcorn. Marshmallows were also very aromatic and not tasting very good. Breakfast was delicious with large variety, however we were missing some more cold cuts - a nice ham. Spa area was slightly disappointing - the heated pool was not very heated considering 15 degrees outside. Saunas were fine in the evening however disappointing in tbe morning at 7.45 when none of the saunas were heated up properly yet for another hour - we heard other guests around us saying the same. Pool was also cooler. The climbing ladder in the pool was very wobbly when going down and up and felt unsafe - plus was making a very loud sound upon everg use, which was disturbing everyone while being inside the sauna.

We really enjoyed our stay at Bryggen Guldsmeden. Our room had the expected courtyard view and was a comfortable size, although storage space for clothing was somewhat limited. The check-in process was excellent, and the staff throughout our stay were friendly and welcoming. One of the highlights was the breakfast buffet, which offered an excellent variety of choices. I also really liked the hotel's distinctive decor and some of the thoughtful touches, including complimentary popcorn on each floor. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to take advantage of the sauna or pool, but both were nice amenities to have available. The location worked very well for our sightseeing plans, making it easy to explore Copenhagen. Overall, a very enjoyable stay at a hotel with plenty of character. I would certainly consider staying here again.

The hotel is not worth the price at all. It’s a very ordinary hotel; unless you plan on using the spa or the pool, I don’t think it makes much sense to stay here. There wasn’t even any drinking water provided—only a note suggesting that tap water could be consumed, which we weren’t comfortable doing. For the first time in my life, I had to pay a separate deposit upon checking into a hotel—a requirement that was completely unnecessary, especially since there was nothing of value in the room to begin with.

I have stayed at this hotel several times, mainly because of its convenient location close to my office, and I have generally had a good experience. Unfortunately, this stay was very disappointing. The entire 4th floor was extremely warm, and my room was uncomfortably hot as well. I raised the issue with reception, but as the hotel was fully booked, it seemed the receptionist was not sufficiently supported or trained to handle the situation. When I suggested being transferred to one of the hotel’s other properties, this also seemed to be a struggle to arrange. The result was a very poor night’s sleep. It was late September, but the room was so warm that I needed to keep the windows open, while the traffic outside made that very difficult. There were also several light bulbs in the room that were not working, which made getting ready in the morning unnecessarily difficult. Despite informing the staff about both the lighting and the excessive heat, nothing seemed to happen initially. I eventually had to call the hotel from my office to follow up, after which I was given a different room for my final night. I have lived in Copenhagen for 22 years and now return approximately once a month for business. I am therefore looking for a hotel that I can use regularly, ideally close to my office. It is disappointing, as I had previously considered this hotel a good option. Perhaps there has been a change in management or standards, or perhaps I was simply very unlucky this time.
