What a place and culture in this hotel. You can tell it’s run and staff are happy. They tend to all your needs and nothing is a problem. Be sure to try the breakfast buffet, so good. Comfy rooms, great communal pool. Short walk to the MTR station. Super short walk to ocean park theme park and close to the water park bus connection. Great place to stay, even better if you have children. Ours love it and cannot wait to go back! Thank you Marriott ocean park for a very memorable family holiday

Beautiful, new hotel with 5 star amenities. Very clean, comfortable bedding, blackout blinds, very large bath, fabulous pool and kid play area - very good hotel. Only downside was the dining options are exceptionally expensive and there is not much around the immediate area - but you can catch the train 1 stop away for plenty of options.

Staff are excellent, from bell boy, concierge, reception, house keeping, common area cleaning etc; lots of Cantonese speaking staff creates stronger home sense since Cantonese is our mother tongue. Very thoughtful plants choices in the garden, they appear to have the natural ingredients that repel mosquitos. Breakfast buffet is tasty with lots of variety, would be better if dining period is a bit longer, currently only 90 min per time slot. Complimentary bottle waters and snack are great. The 3 levels tall Aquarium located in front entrance plus room view of the Ocean Park are stunning. The swimming pools and kids indoor/outdoor activities creat a family friendly environment! My kids have already requested to come back here next time. Areas of improvement: 1) automatic doors are needed in hotel entrance & accesses between buildings, difficult to open heavy doors with luggages and small children. 2) more hooks in hotel room for hanging stuff. 3) coin laundry and dryer machines would be appreciated. 4) more towels are needed as we only had 2 sets of towels for family of 4. 5) lunch & dinner buffet are too pricy.

As someone who travels often and has stayed in many real 5-star hotels around the world, I can honestly say that this Marriott is the worst I've ever experienced. It felt more like a neglected 3-star place at best. Cleanliness Issues: I was shocked by the amount of dust in the room. It was everywhere. Thick layers of dust and hair, debris that looked like it hadn’t been touched in ages, disgusting... The mattress was incredibly uncomfortable, and the pillows were ridiculously thick. We tried the spare pillows in the closet, but they were all the same. They only provided cheap instant sachets and Coffee-Mate with a very basic kettle. No Nespresso machine or even decent ground coffee. To top it all off, the room had a strange smell, almost like a farm. Not what I anticipated at all. For a hotel that claims to be 5-star, this level of neglect is simply unacceptable. I was really disappointed.

My experience staying at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel was fine. I arrived at the hotel around 3pm to check in but there was a long queue. I queued up for 5 minutes and unfortunately the queue failed to move. I gave up and went downstairs to work on the sofas. I went back up to check in at 5:30pm and there was no queue. I would suggest future visitors to schedule check ins at a later time. Check in was quick and easy. The staff assisting me was super welcoming and efficient. I got an upgraded room for which I'm thankful for. The room was nice and comfortable. However, I noticed that there was a few strands of hair in the bathtub. But all in all, it was still a pleasant stay.

Excellent location right next to the Ocean Park. Nice size rooms with a great design features and all the amenities such as Nespresso coffee machine and super plush bath robe. But the best part was the extra deep bathtub which kids absolutely loved soaking in after a day at the park.

It’s a good property. But the photos of the double beds are misleading. They set up with 2 sets of individual pillows in the picture but in reality the double beds are tiny. If you zoom in you see the pillows half off the bed. Not big enough for 2 adults to share. We asked for a trundle bed to be bought in as otherwise would have been very uncomfortable as a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 12.

The hotel is right next to Ocean Park. Buffet at both restaurants are great. The only minus was check-in speed - too slow and never enough staff, I don't understand the need for typing in information when I made the booking online. This is my second time staying and both times the check-in was the only minus, but MUST improve as this is the first impression.

Arrived at 4:30pm and they asked me to wait till 6 because room is not ready. When I said that is not possible, they were able to find the room just ready.. it was quite disappointing considering how much extra I paid for the special room for my kid. The standard of food wasn't great. Since there are limited options in the area, this was disappointing. We also booked a room for 2 adults and 2 children with breakfast. We were told at check-in that breakfast only included 2 adults and that we had to pay for the children. The children cost £25 each per day which was ridiculous as paid £100 on top of room fee just for a 5 and 7 year old who basically ate fruit and toast. The booking was not clear on this and gave no warning that we had to pay 2 additional kids. I am not sure if this is an Expedia or hotel issue but when I did try in advance to check with hotel, the website was always under maintenance. If i had of known, I would have booked another nicer hotel for the extra money as the Fullerton nearby was not much more and room included breakfast for all. if you book for 4 people, you should be told that the breakfast only includes 2 or better still, let you just book for all so no hidden surprises. As we had paid for breakfast, we had no choice but to pay for the kids. I know not the biggest deal but just felt the hotel just kept trying to make money out of you so a bit deceptive and tacky to be honest. The hotel itself is nice and very close to MTR so great spot for families as the pool is great for kids. Also asked if we could use pool after check out as had a late flight and they said no?! they did agree to a 2pm check out but I did not understand why we couldn't still use the pool? It was empty anyway, strange.

It’s a shame that the hotel doesn’t has the tape C charges ! When I asked the receptionist the answer is you need to buy an adapter. I was wondered most of the people now on HK are using iPhone and it’s quite funny they don’t have anything to charge the tape C for it is such an international 5 star hotel ! The breakfast has many choices but the food and fruit is not flesh. One excellent point is the cafe restaurant is very helpful and good manners. Lily

The property was beautiful, well maintained, very green and lovely. However, the food options were poor. The 'cafe' offered breakfast at $30 per person and up! The other restaurants were much higher priced than that! This hotel was connected with Ocean Park and the MTR (underground train), but nothing else without a lengthy ride. Very poor pricing for a larger family.
