Was pleased with our one night stay. The lobby is very nice and has a bar area and a sitting/library are as well. We didn’t eat the breakfast but I believe it was $19/person and there is a separate sitting area for that. I will point out the $29 parking option is not right next to the hotel. It is at the JW parking ramp. This wasn’t an issue for us but it’s not called out in the booking or anywhere else. There is a lot right out in front of the entrance but it is public parking and the hotel isn’t affiliated with them. The room was clean and had comfortable beds. I would suggest getting the extra deep queen sheets because what they put on the beds don’t cover the full sides of the mattress. There are microwaves available on certain floors but not in the rooms. I didn’t use one but our girls said they didn’t work great. Overall happy with our stay and would recommend to anyone.

The front desk wanted us to park in their parking structure, a block away, so they could get extra money for parking fees. They did NOT tell us that on the weekends, parking is free in downtown Grand Rapids. They were very kind, but not helpful.

Stayed in room 213. The parking garage is 2 blocks away at $30 a night. Yes anytime you pull your car out you're being charged again to park in it. The room was clean however no water pressure in the shower. Was told they had a swimming pool and hot tub..... NO they don't! It's located across the street in their sister hotel. Breakfast buffet was $20. Go to Dennys much better options and cheaper! Onto the noice, which was absurd. Heard the live band in our room until midnight!! Could hear the neighbors toilet flushing throughout the night, along with other noises. Street noise, people yelling cars racing until 3am. My recommendation is to find a different hotel! This was the worst hotel experience we've ever encountered.

Staff was excellent. Pleasantly surprised to find a DJ in the lobby providing entertainment on weekend evenings. Fully staffed bar. Nice ending to good days in Grand Rapids area. Rooms were small but updated and very clean. Only negative was that parking is not included and it is a block away from hotel at the JW Marriott. Close private parking was a good option. We will definitely stay here again

Right in the middle of downtown GR. Easy walking to our concert Tahiti was almost right next door!. But be careful to park in the Marriott parking garage. There is a public garage immediately next to it. Don’t make the mistake I did by going into the public garage entrance.

Very basic hotel amenities. Cleanliness may be improved. I was not asked if I wanted the room cleaned but they assumed it. I had to ask for tea bags and paper cup and I was asked like three times if I really wanted 2?paper cups and not 1!! Bar nice with love music

This was my second time staying at the property because of the short walk of the Monroe for concerts is walking distance in the cold weather. The hotel staff is super friendly. The first time in was a bit hectic getting checked in, but the second time was a breeze. Front staff was always so nice and the bar! Our room was the issue. The first and second time we stayed the showers had long hairs all over them and no shampoo/wash in the dispensers it was like shower area wasn’t even cleaning two times in a row. I let them know checking out and was told I would be contacted and never was. The room could of used cleaning, but spacious. Kind of a disappointment with the precautions this hotel advertised on cleaning and safety for health.

No parking at premises. Way way way overpriced for the room. No dresser in room. Bathroom behind sliding door like a closet. Obnoxious music in lobby. Only Breakfast option $30. Hated the room. Paid for city view and overlooked parking structure. And super loud. Could hear every car on 6th floor. Did not clean room.

The room was 150 sq feet at best never been in a room so small, checked in n asked to change rooms they said none were available, checked online there were. Call down to Expedia and all they could do is give me a $25 credit couldn’t change or cancel my room for me couldn’t get a hold of the front desk so all they could offer me was a $25 credit I asked if they could change my room They said they can’t. I asked if they could change my hotel they said they can’t so basically I’m just stuck and unhappy.

Went to a concert at Van Andel Arena with my 21 year old son. The staff were absolutely AMAZING. They were friendly and welcoming, and gave me perfect directions to get to the Arena (3 minute WALK). I will stay here every time I go to the Arena. They've earned a customer for life!! Keep up the AMAZING work!!!

I would like to give a BIG thank you to Cindy she went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed. She found out we were eloping and did everthing to make us feel special. Drew always greeted us with a smile and also did an amazing job decorating the lobby for Valentine's. 1 more thanks to give, is to Justin, I believe he was sent to be cupid to us by Cindy. Thanks to all but 1 of the front desk staff.

Hotel was very conveniently located to Van Andel Arena as it was just a few minutes walk away. The room was set up interestingly with the bathroom sink in the same area as the mini fridge/coffee and there was no hand soap. Coffee offered in the room was good and easy to make and I really enjoyed the “hydration station” in the hallway that offered both ice and water. The guy who checked us in seemed a little robotic and like he had just memorized a script of what to say. The bartender was also a little robotic and not very personable. Also, I noticed that some of their cocktails were batched so I don’t think they should be as expensive as they were.

Beautifully renovated modern property downtown GR with a great breakfast option and amenities. Across the street from art museum, breakfast and dining/nightlife. It gets surprisingly loud for a smaller city given the close proximity to nightlife. Park at the JW. Grand Rapids public parking is more expensive than Chicago.
