Hilton Garden Inn Bucharest Airport

Super convenient location basically on the airport parking lot. Parking included but limited. There is an underground structure first come first serve. Restaurant food was okay, we had dinner not breakfast. Service was slow and not very friendly but that’s the case in Romania. Staff at front desk were professional. Shower was great. Hot lots of pressure, large. Room was larger than others we stayed at in Romania. Super comfortable bed. Some nicks on the wall where paint was worn -would stay again

I’ve stayed here before at the beginning of each trip to Romania and it is a wonderful hotel. The gym is the best of any hotel I’ve stayed in and the breakfast is awesome. I’ll be back again. God bless you all! Kingsley

If you want a place to stay the night before your flight, you can’t go wrong here. It’s very clean and close to the terminal. The AC was not working well and the repairman has to come twice and it still broke later. But overall it’s a nice place. Has laundry room.

The staff was great as always, Chris, Alex and the other members of the restaurant staff are always very professionnal and will give you great advice. The rooms are clean and has everything you would need at an airport hotel (washer and dryer, Gym, Parking, 24/7 shop...)

Nice and clean room. Walkable distance to the airport. On the minus side, parking spots (free of charge ones) very limited. Prices at the bar/restaurant very expensive.

Great location just a 5-minute walk from the airport. The on-site restaurant is very nice as is the gym, which has weights and cardio equipment. Staff was friendly. The noon checkout time is nice for later flights.

Parking should be complimentary for the hotel guests. Even if the hotel is in the proximity of the airport, it should have a shuttle available.

No free parking despite all restaurant prices being ridiculously overpriced. Parking is 75 lei a night.

I was assigned room 201. The room and facilities are lovely. Very modern and I love the hybrid floor board in the room and in the bathroom. However, I was given a room which is also suitable for people on a wheelchair - no problem there. The shower is therefore equipped with 2 shower curtains instead of a shower room - this is where the problem is - the curtains are FILTHY with coloured mildew built up at all the corners. Clearly it hasn’t been washed and dried properly for ages. When I opened the bathroom door, the bathroom STUNK!!! Yuk!!! As it was only a short stay (about 12 hours), I let it go as I was very keen to go to bed at 8pm and wake up at 230am. Please do something about it.

Had to move the sofa to find something and it was filthy. Two of the towels in the room had large brown stains.

Everything was perfect, the room space, the beds, cleaness, and staff.

I think i got bed bugs bites. In the morning i was full of bites on my legs and back.

Great location for the airport, which is a few minutes walk away. The room is clean and comfortable. Lovely food at the restaurant. Small gym which was available 24hrs. Downside for me was due to location it was noisy in room from constant customer turnover, rooms had soft walls between rooms so could hear most what was going on. Very convenient for airport

The Air conditioning was not good and the windows would not open. I slept very hot.

The hotel is ideal for walking to the airport. We stayed when we arrived at Bucharest and when we left. Our first night was good - we were on the second floor and had a good sleep. Unfortunately on our second visit we were given a room on the ground floor - the nearest room to reception. This means everyone leaving reception passes your door on the way to the lifts. The noise of people talking continued all night as flights arrived. Noise was also evident from staff at reception and other staff going to the nearby laundry room or sorting things for the restaurant. Avoid this room.

Great hotel, clean room, breakfast included with many great choices. Though is near the airport, it was very quiet and did not hear any outside noise.

Great hotel - but I like a cool room to sleep in. The room was boiling hot when I arrived and it took a while for the a/c to cool it down. In the middle of the night is reset itself to the default boiling hot setting and I was unable to adjust it back down as it was a locked setting. Apart from that it was super easy to get to from the airport, I walked as I only had hand luggage, but be warned you have to cross over a small road from arrivals to departures, then walk past departures and you're there in approx. 200m. Pavements weren't in great condition, so if you had a lot of luggage I'd suggest a cab. Room was comfortable and quiet with no airport noises heard. Bar service was efficient and the food was delicious, breakfast had a huge amount of choice and was just what I needed for the day ahead.

Moved rooms because AC did not work. New room didn’t work either. Had tech come twice and I finally accepted that it wasn’t going to work.

Great breakfast and they also pack breakfast for early morning checkouts, you just have to let them know the evening before.

Excellent customer service from the front desk all the way through to the restaurant! The food was fabulous as well! I will certainly stay here again anytime I’m in Bucharest😃👍.

Not bad but little things could have made it a lot better. I had messaged in advance informing the hotel it was my wife’s birthday when we arrived and asking if they could do something to help me make her stay more special but they did nothing, didn’t even acknowledge my wife at check in! Also the staff in the Wright Flyer were a mixed bag. Alex was excellent and attentive, paid attention to when drinks needed refilling and even gave me the TV remote to watch the tennis. However, when he went on break the difference in service was stark. His two colleagues just stood there chatting, completely oblivious to the fact I had an empty glass for over 20 minutes. I thought they were there too work, not chit chat and ignore paying customers.

Very good stay at this hotel. Nice welcome and smoth check in with Cristi and Bodan who ansered all my questions. Very clean room with all amenties. Hotel is in walk in distance from departures treminal.

Upon check-in we noticed that the air conditioning and air didn’t work in the room. We went to the front desk and asked if it could be fixed and left for a couple of hours only for it not to be taken care of. When going back to the front desk about 4 hours later, they didn’t seem to care that it wasn’t fixed and weren’t willing to switch the room for us. They told me to go back to the room and wait. With a 3 year old and it already being past 10 PM, we had to reach out to Expedia in order for any action to be taken. If the staff would have been helpful we would have had a great stay but instead it wasn’t as enjoyable as it could be. On the plus side the breakfast was 10 out of 10!

No shuttle to the airport. Walking ground to yhe airport is under reconstruction. It is dofficilt to walk especially with suitcases.

Hotel directions posted on the wall outside departures area are wrong as the parking lot is no longer under construction. Guests can walk across parking lot; not walk around it. Hotels directions should be posted and placed on the arrival area for guests to know where to go as the arrival and departure areas are in two different sections of the airport. Zero transportation from airport to hotel; therefore, if you have heavy and big luggage or it’s raining you must do the 12-15 minutes walk from the arrival terminal to the hotel. The 5 minutes walk is from the departure area not the arrival area. Sidewalk is missing bricks which is unsuitable for suitcases and not safe for pedestrians. Taxis drivers will not care (asked 4 of them) and will not drive for 2 minutes or 1/2 a kilometer to take you to the hotel as the Hilton is too close for them to lose their place in line for 5 euros. You can arrange transport the next day from the hotel to the airport for 20 euros or $25. Automatic rotating door continuously get stuck trapping guests inside; sensor was faulty even though the counter agent continuously said it worked perfectly. Could barely move or turn on the bed without the bed frame making a noise. Hotel staff stand together talking to each other instead of watching for guests approaching the counter. Customer service training should be provided to hotel staff to address careless attitudes towards guests and address the importance of welcoming or greeting guests.

The property is excellent, but there are no signs when leaving the airport to find it. It is a little unsafe to arrive because the construction is underway, making it dangerous for pedestrians to walk on the road with cars passing by.

The hotel is excellent, but having to walk to/ from airport with luggage is not easy. The sidewalk is narrow and bumpy. I hope they will bring the shuttle back.

The location is great. The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from the airport terminal! Very convenient!

Very speedy, but convenient. It is walkable from the airport, but it went through construction and darkness.

Everything was prefect except that the front desk advised us that walking to the departures is easy with our large and heavy rolled suitcases and our heavy backpacks. The path is mostly a combination of gravel and degraded concrete which was a struggle for us, at over 70, to negotiate in the dark at 6am.

The hotel is very conveniently located at the end of the airport, clean and modern. The walkway to is a bit hard with uneven ground due to the construction of the parking area in front of the hotel.

This is an amazingly convenient place to stay for guests with early morning flights! The room was clean and quiet. We slept soundly after a nice dinner in the hotel's restaurant. The airport was a quick and easy walk from the hotel. Highly recommend this property!

The fire alarm went off for almost a half hour, false alarm. Food service was very slow. Rooms were clean. A short walk to the airport made this a great location for our final night.

We had dinner at the restaurant and we felt that the prices were too high compared with the prices of an equivalent restaurant that n downtown Bucharest. Ex. One Ursus beer drought 40cl cost 30 RON att your restaurant while at the downtown restaurant, the same beer cost 11 RON only. Otherwise the room was OK. We stayed one night so we can caught a very early flight.

In terms of location perfect a short walk from airport Room tidy and clean. Staff polite What was disappointing was the breakfast, the hot selection was not got. And the plates were dirty we had to alert staff to the stained plates. This put us off our breakfast. Evening meal was pleasant. We would recommend perhaps breakfast would have improved

The hotel was very comfortable but there was a green flashing light in the bedroom which upset sleep unless covered. The food was overpriced. Breakfast was good but at 22 Euros each a rip off.

Clean, good sized room and perfect location for airport or Therme spa. Pillows were very soft (we asked for hard but they didnt have a choice) and breakfast very expensive (€22, we opted out) but overall very good
