Room was very clean, staff was friendly and gave good advice on a local eatery. Breakfast was a nice option to start the day. While the gym wasn’t too big, it provided good equipment that worked and was also clean.

Had an amazing stay and a great time. Loved how beautiful the outdoor patio was. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Will definitely be back again! Staff was so kind and sweet and very accommodating. Only downside is the elevators are slow and our blankets were dirty but we brought our own.

She put me on 2nd floor in a room that smelled bad of mildew. I’ve stayed there in past on uppper floors didn’t smell mildew. Rooms need renovation for the price and mold treatment mildew.

It was a nice stay. I stayed on the third floor but smelt like sewage some days due to the water facility across the street. Front desk ladies were friendly and welcoming. The breakfast coordinator was extremely friendly and attentive to everyone during breakfast hours. Breakfast is pretty simple but you can alway order out if it’s not enough food. Housekeeping came on time to tidy up my room however I did notice the shower wasn’t clean properly, there was hair from past guest on the wall. I do wish you could use the tv freely to plug in your own items such as a firestick or laptop. Overall my stay was comfortable and easy. 9.3/10 stay!! Thank you!

We went down for breakfast at 7:30 on Saturday and everything was gone. There were many angry guests. Everyone complained several times and no more food was brought out besides hard sausage Pattie’s. Not only that we paid for a hotel with a pool and the pool wasn’t even open. Our room smelled, we asked for it to be cleaned while we were gone for the day only to come back with it never done. The bathroom had stains all over the curtains and tub was dirty. I really feel like we could received a discount on our two night stay.

Disappointed, I've stayed here before and it was okay, but this time the tv only had reception on a few channels and this annoyed the heck out of me. The money I paid for this room is perfect and can be used anywhere in the world. My level of expectation for my hard earned money was not met.

Good visit as usual. We were able to get a first floor room which made dog walking easy. Only issue is that the AC compressor in Room 120 was quite noisy, and it did not seem to cool effectively. Set on 66 it did not cool nearly as well as our home AC set on 73.

Wifi was running 2 mbps most of the night. Called the front desk and asked for help. Rep just said it is working fine and there is nothing they will do. Had to use hotspot with my cell to get my work done. If you are on a biz trip, do not go there. You can not get any work done if you need wifi service.

I love this hotel every stay feels like home but the last time I stayed it was a rude older lady at the front desk! Never seen her before but she should be in the kitchen if she’s not customer friendly!

Staff was kind and customer focused. On arrival, there were two women at the front desk. The room we booked was somehow not available but the kind lady made sure she accommodated us in another room. Did not appreciate comments from the other woman who said there were no rooms for us. Besides her, the staff is amazing, attentive, and professional. Would recommend to friends and family. We frequent NC often but first time in Charlotte and will definitely stay here again!

The air conditioning did not work in our room. We were there for 2 nights. I was gone all day after the 1st night and got back late evening and the room was still hot and stuffy. I called the front desk and was instructed how to set the thermostat, it was already set correctly. I called a 2nd time and she said maintenance was not available til next morning. I then went to the front desk in person to discuss. She said there was nothing she could do and she did not have any other room available. I asked for compensation and she said she couldn’t do that because I had made my reservation through Expedia. I asked for a fan and I was denied and I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager. So I asked if I was supposed to stay in this hot room, and she said that was my only option. I have never had a negative experience while staying at a Marriott, but this was horrible customer service and a horrible stat. We are also Marriott rewards members. Very disappointing.

My stay was amazing- the staff were engaging, and anyone you spoke to was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean, beds were comfortable, and their continental breakfast was always on time and full of verity. I enjoyed my stay so much I extended two days then had to come back for a personal matter and they were willing to schedule and confirm me for the following week. It alll stems from General Manger that was involved, and present which resonated with staff. It was a great experience and this will be my hotel when in town

The staff was exceptional here. Two checked us is ( one was in training) that were very friendly and hospitable and efficient! The women running the breakfast was a joy ...she kept everything filled and nicely presented and clean. She greeted people as they joined, she talked so respectfully to group of teen boys ...one was taking more than his fair share of bacon ...and she respectfully reminded him others needed some, as well. She was very good at her job! The gentleman tending facilities was cleaning the elevator and was so kind and friendly.

We arrived around 11:30pm and were greeted immediately by a lovely woman at the front desk. Check-in was quick and easy. Location is great as it's near many amenities (shopping, Carowinds, coffee shops, etc) and the highway. Everything about the property was clean and comfortable. The room was a good size, beds were comfortable, A/C unit worked, and temp was adjustable. We could not hear anything from the other rooms or the hallway. The breakfast had a nice selection of food and was very good. We were only here for one night on our way down to Florida, but will definitely book again for our drive back up.

Our room reservation not available upon our arrival- the front desk staff was very polite, apologized and told us they could update our room in the AM, but that was misinformation. When we checked back the following morning, we were told all the rooms for our reservation type were sold out due to a basketball tournament and teams staying onsite. As we were heading out early that morning to a basketball tournament ourselves, we realized multiple vehicles all throughout the parking lot had been broken into. Thankfully ours was not, but that seemed to be pure luck. (We later learned a total of 17 vehicles had been broken into!!) While this seemed like a nice, quiet, rural area, we were very hesitant to return for fear we might experience a similar issue the next morning. With multiple sports tournaments in town and hotels fully booked/sold out, we didn’t have much of a choice. Would not return. I also requested follow-up from hotel management and a response/contact from hotels.com/Expedia, neither of which I’ve received yet.

This Fairfield Inn & Suites location transcends Southern hospitality provided by the entire staff as they delivered cheerful, welcoming & courteous services. The Ballantyne Commons location offered excellent shopping & dining experience, and was just 30 mins from the airport and downtown Charlotte. I plan to make future reservations at this location.

Do NOT stay at this hotel if you value your safety or your vehicle. My truck was broken into overnight, along with two other cars in the same lot. When the police arrived, the officer casually mentioned this happens all the time in the area. That means the hotel knows this is a recurring issue and is doing little or nothing to stop it — no visible security, no surveillance signs, no warnings to guests. Absolutely unacceptable. This place is either negligent or simply doesn’t care about guest safety. Either way, I’ll never stay here again, and I strongly recommend others stay far away.

Always a good place (we have been here at least 6 times) but they had no coffee at all on Sunday’s breakfast. And it was not all that busy in the three days we stayed there. A bit of management oversight needed here.

The room was spotless and the frurnishings were nice and the staff were all friendly. The A/C unit was very loud and the toilet clunked every time you sat down or got up. We were very disappiinted with the breakfast. There were a few cold boiled eggs but no other protien. They were out of breakfast meat, scrambled eggs, and yougurt. There was only 1 milk left. The manger explained that the vendor was late. She said she had a discretionary fund but it took time to get funds released to obtain additional supplies outside of normal distribution channels. There is a BJs right across the street. I would expect a Marroitt establisment to enable thier mangers to quickly cover shortages. We could have stayed at a less expensive hotel. This was definately not up to the standards we expected of Mariott. We will not be staying again next ti.e we are in Charlotte.

The property is in a great location. Breakfast was on point with a huge variety of food, always full and clean on Friday morning, the lady attending the area was amazing and friendly. Now Saturday and Sunday breakfast area was a different story. The area was dirty, barely any food to eat, food was cold, a complete disaster. The lady attending the area was not friendly at all and you could feel she hated to be there.

Top Notch in every respect. Staff exceptional and gracious. Dining area clean and breakfast was bigger and better than expected. Should we ever return to Pineville, it's a no-brainer that this would be the place where we'd stay. Five Stars!
