The valet parking service was really good. I never waited more than 5 minutes, and it was basically the same cost as self park. The neighborhood was very convenient. You could walk to all the Downtown destinations in Pittsburgh. Breakfast was only so so. Powdered eggs and the standard waffle, but there were no juices, only coffee and bottled water. That's my only complaint.

Parking was a block away

The hotel location is very convenient. Public parking garage is around the corner.

Great place. Clean and comfortable. Great view of Station Square across the river. No parking on site so be prepared to pay the $38 a day for valet or walking a little bit from the parking garage.

Property is modern and clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great and had a wonderful view of the river, bridge and incline. It is an easy 15 minute walk to the PPG Arena. Two things to note, which is the case for most major cities: the parking is expensive $42 and on the corner there are tents of homeless people.

If you’re not familiar with the area, and maybe even if you are, this is one of the hardest hotels to get to. The parking is awful because valet is really your only option. The roads leading to the hotel are very confusing and if you get on the wrong one, it sends you across the city The front desk was very helpful with suggestions and accommodations. But the sheets were dirty and the overall cleanliness of the hotel was not great. Also, the road noise is really bad.

In Pittsburgh downtown, right next to the river. The only tricky part is about the parking. You need to arrive on Grant -> Fort Pitt Blvd instead of following GPS which is very confusing. I did valet parking and they are very fast: 5 minutes waiting tops. Everything is within walking distance. They say Pittsburgh has very good public transportation system. Next time I am going to try. Also, the drive to Niagara Falls is doable for an one-day trip if weather is good.

No parking at the time we stayed there and dangerous alley to walk down in the parking garage recommended that was two blocks away.

We enjoyed our stay in September. The breakfast was very nice and had a variety of items. It was easy to walk downtown or to the "T" station. The printer at the business center was broken the entire 4 days that we were there.

Good clean hotel. Self park is two blocks away but it was easy to get there. Garbage truck at 4 am was LOUD!!!

This property is newer and modern in design. The breakfast was quality, and it was nice to have access to that while traveling for business. The hotel has a strong unpleasant odor that starts in the elevators and continues into the halls and guest rooms. I was concerned about the smell attaching to my hair and clothes. My guest room was in need of a deep clean. Self parking was about two blocks away and only a few dollars cheaper than valet. If you aren’t planning on taking your car in and out during your stay, the garage is cheaper to self park than to go through the hotel.

We asked for the room to be cleaned during our 3 night stay, and came back to a dirty room. Then whej we called the front desk, they told us all cleaning staff had gone home and so they could not clean the room. Another night we called the front desk and aksed for water - they asked us to come down to get it. Lastly, a lot of noise at night, and overall quite the number of homeless in the vicinity of the hotel - does not feel safe to walk at night.

Our room had everything we needed including microwave and refrigerator. Location was convenient to stores and restaurants for a lot of walking. Only issue was in our room there was a rotten smell that wouldn’t go away and we couldn’t figure out where it was coming from, thought it was the fridge.

Great staff, but room cleaning service was minimal to doing beds only. Washrooms were not at all cleaned on our days of room service, washroom floor was not broomed or mopped at all, and neither was the carpet. We always moved our Personal toiletries to the side so the counters and sink could be wiped down, but they were never done. Breakfast was great on the first Saturday but following Monday-Friday it was just packaged bagels and quiche. Cereal was always kept under the cupboard and was only taken out when requested and milk for two days was only put out when requested.

Upon arrival, our room was not clean.

Noisy, dirty hallways and elevator. Smelled like mildew. Hairdryer broken- only one outlet and 1/2 of it was broken. No place to put your stuff in the shower.

The room was clean, however the sheets on both beds were very damp.

Room smelled really bad! We found garbage from previous guest. Neighborhood not good for walking or nightlife

It’s great in general, except for that the rooms facing the avenue a little bit noisy at night. Breakfast is above the average.

Great location, friendly staff and a great breakfast. Only concern with the hotel was the super thin walls. The couple next to me decided on making alot of noise at 2am in the morning. Overall would stay again!

To start I want to say everyone at the property was friendly and accommodating. Absolutely great service! The location was cool right along the river. But I would warn that comes with some traffic noise so light sleepers be aware. I rated comfort lower due to horrible pillows that went absolutely flat such that the only way to maintain support was by folding. The fitted sheet kept popping off and there was a weird free floating pad under the fitted sheet that got bunched up. I was surprised given everything else on the property was great.

Hotel was nice and updated. Only issues - Our room view was a brick building and alley. The pillows were terrible. The foldout couch bed mattress was so this, I could feel the metal thru it. Hard to sleep.

This hotel looks nice and was very clean. My complaint is that it was so noisy! Our room was on the front of the hotel. After a night of continuous traffic noise, the next morning, I looked out the window and counted NINE lanes of traffic passing in front of our window. And that's not even counting the four lanes that ran perpendicular to the hotel. I know there's nothing the hotel can do to remedy this, but if you want to stay here, I would suggest asking for a room on the back side of the hotel. It might be a little quieter.

I paid additional for a river view, but wish I knew that the river view room overlooked a busy street AND a highway. The room was very loud and I slept very poorly secondary to street noise.

Hotel/room was clean and inviting. Only drawback was the room was very damp. The air conditioner was set to 65 degrees and very cold when we entered. The room never did feel dry.

I liked the view from my room. Hotel its self was average. Staff was friendly. Check in and out was quick. Noisy area but to be expected being down town by the freeway.

Nice hotel. Good location, easy walk to downtown. Room was kind of dark, not enough lamps. Breakfast was not impressive, more like best western, with poor coffee.

You’ll be forced to valet your car for $38. Exploring around the property is NOT safe. The air conditioner in the room sounds like a helicopter landing - seriously - that’s what I thought it was when it first came on. It turns on and off all night - so that helicopter visits every hour or so. The front desk staff couldn’t have smiled lest she crack her face. The valet guys were awesome though - friendly and fast. The breakfast was well done. The room itself was comfy and clean.

As soon as we arrived, we noticed the toilet was plugged. Went to front office and the desk hostess had a plumber at our door in 3 minutes. Biggest plunger we ever saw. He was done in minutes and was a very cordial man. Made our trip a lot of fun. Great staff. Highly recommend. View from the breakfast patio on 2nd floor was spectacular. Breakfast choices were top notch too.

The front desk gentleman was very very nice and had a lot of energy in his work checking me in at 12:40 late at night.

I am disappointed with the service of my business stay. I need an invoice for my business trip issued on the employer's data, and no one from hotels.com, the Fairfield Hotel, or the Marriot helpdesk has been able to help me. At the hotel's front desk, I was told they could not change the data because it was entered through a third-party system from Expedia (owner of hotels.com). Contacting the hotel through hotels.com was pointless - they did not write back to my messages and did not answer the phone. The hotels.com helpdesk refused to issue the invoice, and, at most, they sent an email with my employer's details, which is not a formal document. The Marriot Bonvoy helpdesk, on the other hand, first sent me a blank email without an attachment stating that here was the invoice, and after my feedback, wrote back that they could not change the data in the Expedia system but gave me the contact information for the hotel manager. Unfortunately, the manager's email address provided is inactive/incorrect. All in all, I wasted a lot of time trying to get a correct invoice. No one helped me, and in the end, I did not receive it. I will not use hotels.com again, and I will not recommend this site to anyone who wants to book business travel.

Business trip. Hotel staff friendly. Breakfast bountiful and delicious. Lot's of refrigerated items available too in lobby if needed. Valet service very good too.

Walls are so so for blocking noise. I had a very noisy neighbor. Good news was that the staff was very accommodating and asked me to find a quiet room... Was able to check out two different rooms No hassle and super accommodating staff!

our coffee machine was broke asked for a new one and the request was ignored, no Kleenex, about 50% of staff were helpful and attentive , the other half - not so much. Location is excellent.

Location is super great, close to light rail station, a a bridge across the river to take the boat to go to stadium, perfect for a steelers game

Everything was great except for the neighborhood around the hotel. Sketchy area.

Great location...very walkable to everything downtown

Panhandling and homeless people in areas outside of building. We were nervous about walking around and saw several homeless camps by the river area.

Homeless encampment on Grant Street side of building. Five to six tents. Quite a few people. Upon returning to hotel after baseball game, three of them followed behind us. The hotel entrance was about thirty yards from corner of building. Your facility did have a yellow coat security person at entrance. In todays time, being uncomfortable is not a plus!

The gal who greeted us when we arrived was very friendly. Our room was clean, however no sitting chair, only a desk chair. Not sure how two people are supposed to sit in one chair. Breakfast was terrible, they ran out of food both days we were there, juice machine was broke, there was no coffee, and no one around to restock anything. We will not be staying here again.

The breakfast food was ok, eggs not done, and each day there wasn’t enough meat or eggs or coffee, not stocked at all not enough. Also not enough time only until 9:00 am which meant rushing with lots of people and not enough food, coffee or juice or plates or cups, also no safe in room and no parking valet was a bit high $38 a day. Howdvett room was clean and comfortable. The safe is highly recommended went to football game and couldn’t lock up my wallet while home for day since took subway

Excellent service from hotel staff. Needed an extra blanket and received one. Firm mattress, which is important to me. Breakfast spread was diverse in options which included hot oatmeal and cold cereals, decaf coffee and regular coffee, hot teas, eggs both scrambled and boiled, sausage, muffins, toast, waffles. Great view of the Monongahela River. Plenty of lighting in room, refrigerator, and excellent shower.
