Clean, no frills apartments conveniently located in quieter area - 2 min walk from sasasuka station. It has some amenities like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, dishwashing liquid, washing machine detergent. We took Narita express to Shinjuku station and then transferred to another line which was one stop to sasasuka station. It’s located to the left of Lawsons in the courtyard (when facing Lawsons). We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and had sufficient space for 4 of us. Watch out for the low doorframes. Lawsons/starbucks/ kfc and other food options on its doorstep. Also frente shopping centre and uniglo. One stop to Shinjuku (5 minutes). They do not have luggage storage before/ after check in.

Amazing location right next to the keio line lots of amenities around the hotel including cafe Uniqlo etc big rooms with washing machines/dryer and kitchen. The staff were kind and helped with luggage delivery offered right next door at Lawson 10/10 would recommend

We stayed here during the first part of our trip. I let them know we were going to arrive late in the evening as this is a small hotel. The location of the hotel entrance is in a courtyard to the left of Lawsons. Google map takes you to the outside street. Go into the courtyard. Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Apartment was spacious. 1 room with large closet and a big bed. Then another room with 2 twin beds that could be closed off with an accordion wall. Couch that could be a bed, extra chair, coffee table and tv. Good size stocked kitchen. AC, washer only (they provide clothes hangers) to dry your clothes in the bathroom with the dryer fan. Lots of storage in the bathroom. Slippers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, dish soap provided. Service was friendly. Location was excellent. Lawsons, 7 Eleven, Starbucks, onigiri shop, bakery, tons of restaurants and grocery stores and cafes all downstairs. Train station is right there too! They don’t ship luggages to other parts of Japan but Lawsons next door will and 7 Eleven around the corner can too. They don’t provide daily cleaning services which was fine for us but just be aware if you need this feature.

Location was incredibly close to konbini, restaurants and the train station. Less than a 10 minute train ride to Shinjuku station so it was very convenient to drop off our shopping and head out again for more! The in-suite laundry was amazingly helpful especially since we were travelling in the sweaty summer months. Loved how much space there was compared to the other hotels we've stayed at in the Shinjuku area. The only thing this property lacked was on site luggage storage after check out. They are however, able to receive luggage delivery on the day of check-in, for those who are planning to use luggage forwarding services. Would definitely stay here again.

Sofa turns into small bed, uncomfortable, hard mattress good for small child. When sofa bed is extended, cannot open closet, which would be used for suitcases, and hanging clothes.so access is blocked. Unless you slide the bed to sofa position every morning. Inconvenient for us. 2 adults and a 16 year old. Place is very clean. Very nice shower but tub is deep and very short in length.fyi. A note is, you can hear the trains but they didnt bother our sleep. Perfect for 2 people. Kichen is compact and good. Decent size fridge. Washer works very well, Japanese instructions so a guess on settings but did the job. It said washer and dryer, but dryer is a hanging unit with rows of clothes pins, so air dry. Worked ok. Overall it was ok, better if only 2 people. They will pick up garbage every day if left outside the door. Great location. Sasazuka station right there. Lots of restaurants and grocery places right outside.

Nice place to stay, right by train station. Nice neighborhood to walk around. Only reason for 4 stars is that they do not accept luggage delivery or storage. We had to walk 15 minutes with out big suitcases to get luggage delivery nearby.

I stayed at this Apar Hotel in June 2024 with my 3-year-old, 4-year-old, and wife in the Quad Room. The apartment isn't anything fancy but met our every basic need. Having a kitchen, laundry, deep tub and ability to separe the rooms helps when traveling with two youngones. The staff was helpful, check in and checkout was quick. The best part of this location is the proximity to the station, it's less than 100 meters from the Keiyo line train station and we can easily take the train to all destinations in Tokyo.

Family friendly accommodation. Near to all the food areas ,close to train station for easy transportation. The apartment itself is spacious enough for family of 4 , with 1 separate rooms, a laundry washer and a drying area. In our 5 night stay we never had a problem using the washer . Though there is a kitchen ,we opt to eat around the area , tremendous food den to choose from . It was a wonderful stay .Easy check in and check out too.

Excellent location right off a train stop. Property was clean. WiFi in rooms was a little slow. Downside is early 10a check out, but can pay an extra fee for a later check out. Property also doesn’t hold your luggage after checking out. So long as that info is provided to you, you’ll know what to expect.

I really enjoyed my stay at Kario Sasazuka. It was very close to the Sasazuka station which allowed us to get to various train stations quickly. It’s a very minimalist hotel but they provided us with all the basic amenities that we needed including a fridge, stove, microwave, washer, blow dryer, towel and iron. I believe we got a family quote so we had 4 twin beds and a living room which gave us quite a bit of space compared to the other hotels we research in Tokyo. Overall everything pretty much met our standards but there were a couple of cons that I would point out. The first being that the beds are extremely firm. So if you’re not someone who can sleep on a firm bed comfortably you may not enjoy it. Also, there appeared to be a washer but no dryer so keep that in mind if you planned to do laundry. And lastly there was a slight stench on the main bathroom that could’ve been from the washer, I’m not sure but everyone and again you could smell it.

Bed sheet wasn’t changed. The room smelled of sewer back up and instead of changing room, they sent a person who doesn’t speak English to clean and add disinfectant to the sink. All the staff used Google Translate to say they are sorry but there’s no compensation and they can’t do anything about the situation except put an air filter in the room. The air filter, kitchen fan and air conditioning unit were on all night. The noise made it impossible to sleep. Stay away or this place will ruin your vacation.

First impression was alright until we opened the door to the washing area and bathroom. The smell of mould was overwhelming. Shortly after, we noticed two lines of badly smelling and sticky spots on the floor by the couch. The spots could be removed though. We went to the reception to tell then about the mould smell, but they couldn't do anything about it. After we had baths the next morning, the mould smell got worse. They did an extra cleaning of the bathroom, but it didn't help at all. Two of us woke up with bad headaches, one with symptomes like a cold and one with irritated eyes. We contacted hotels.com, and they did a lot to help us, but the hotel wouldn't grant us any refunds. Mould is not healthy for anyone, so we decided to find another hotel for the remaining nights, which cost us a whole lot of extra money. Some hours after we've left, the symptoms were gone, so it was worth it.

Location is excellent, right at the train station with lots of shops and restaurants around. The property is new and beautiful, and my room was larger than expected with a nice kitchenette and washer/dryer (although it the washer was hard to change functions mid cycle). My biggest gripe was that the user id for the wifi wasn't recognized, and no matter what I tried, I had no wifi access. I couldn't call the management because my phone from overseas didnt cover phone calls without paying a premium. I had to go down to the lobby to use the wifi there, not a comfortable thought where no staff was around, and it was after midnight. The lobby was open to the public. Anyway, overall it was a nice place, but make sure that wifi works before you get too comfortable. I would stay again.

Very spacious and great location. We had trouble finding the entrance for check-in. It feels more like Airbnb than a hotel. There is a ¥20K fee for lost key with NFC. We were traveling with the family and appreciate having a separate room. It’s right across sasazuka train station with so many shops.

The room felt claustrophobic for 3 people. One double bed and a sofa bed, but it was broken and the cushion was very thin. The lobby is just a front desk, no reception, no tea or coffee. The location was convenient, right next to Sasazuka station, and there was a great place to eat (delicious breads, coffee, matcha, etc) and a market with fresh foods. The room was clean (as all of Japan). The area felt safe. The room was just too small and I felt like a giant as everything was tiny and low ceilings. Small window with no views. If you want a place to just sleep and shower, an close to a station it is fine.

The family room was excellent — very spacious and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better, right above the metro station and surrounded by convenience. There’s a 7-Eleven, Starbucks, and other shops just downstairs, as well as a shopping mall with a Uniqlo.

Great location near train station. Kind of a funky set up, but easy to get in and out. Rooms were great with separation for master bedroom and the space where the kids slept. Living room is small, no dining table. But, didn't matter. Plenty of places to grab food closeby. Would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location right off a train stop. Property was clean. WiFi in rooms was a little slow. Downside is early 10a check out, but can pay an extra fee for a later check out. Property also doesn’t hold your luggage after checking out. So long as that info is provided to you, you’ll know what to expect.

Lots of things and places to do around and near hotel. Very close to the train station and only 1 stop away from Shinjuku. We like our hotel space. It’s spacious compare to standard Japanese hotels or apartments.

Was able to leave my luggage at the front desk as we arrived early for our check in. The place is very convenient as it is very near the train station and is only 2-3 stops away from shinjuku. Nearby mall and convenience stores. Their policy is to only clean if you're staying for 7 days but you can ask for fresh trash bags and toiletries as needed. Will definitely stay here again on my next visit

We stayed here during the first part of our trip. I let them know we were going to arrive late in the evening as this is a small hotel. The location of the hotel entrance is in a courtyard to the left of Lawsons. Google map takes you to the outside street. Go into the courtyard. Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 teenagers). Apartment was spacious. 1 room with large closet and a big bed. Then another room with 2 twin beds that could be closed off with an accordion wall. Couch that could be a bed, extra chair, coffee table and tv. Good size stocked kitchen. AC, washer only (they provide clothes hangers) to dry your clothes in the bathroom with the dryer fan. Lots of storage in the bathroom. Slippers, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, dish soap provided. Service was friendly. Location was excellent. Lawsons, 7 Eleven, Starbucks, onigiri shop, bakery, tons of restaurants and grocery stores and cafes all downstairs. Train station is right there too! They don’t ship luggages to other parts of Japan but Lawsons next door will and 7 Eleven around the corner can too. They don’t provide daily cleaning services which was fine for us but just be aware if you need this feature.

The location is excellent. Very convenient. Less than a minute walk from Sasazuka station. Traditional Ramen store within walking distance. The heating option at the shower area is excellent to dry your laundry. A bit noice from the train station before midnight and 5am onwards. Light sleeper should put on ear plug for better sleep. Will stay here again if i come back to tokyo

The property is directly above a subway samtation so if you are sensitive to noises you will hear the train stopping by at night. The Sasazuka station is only in one metro line (Keio line) so you will likely have to take this line to Shinjuku for transferring to all major sites. It is one long stop by express trains or 3 stops by local trains to the Shinjuku station, which is a huge transit hub and could be confusing to navigate for transfers. The rooms are clean but the ACs don't work very well. There is a Lawson downstairs and a few restaurants nearby. Overall good value for families that need to find more than one room (if you can tolerate the noise).

Convenient location and large space like airBnB. We had a bit of trouble finding it on first day because its entrance is in a courtyard. We stayed there for a week and enjoyed the separate rooms, kitchen and space for luggages.

Dining, transportation, shopping were all just a short walk away. The apartment I stayed in needs a table and chairs to eat. The current furnishings would make it difficult for a family to stay. Fortunately I was alone visiting my daughter who lives a short distance away in a college dorm so I did not need a dining area but I come to Japan often and would like to see more practical furnishings.

A really great place to go with family. We were 5, and stayed in the 3 small beds and 1 large bed. Right on the subway line, and surrounded by great shops, restaurants, and car free areas. Very close to the Shinjuku station to move everywhere. Great bakery downstairs for breakfast, and some great supermarket options. Also a stones throw from great restaurants, including a great mexican place called Mil Tacos, to complement the great japanese restaurants.

We had a great stay here as a family of 4. Convenient, clean, and spacious as Tokyo hotel rooms go. And the staff went above and beyond in a situation where we caused a problem. We thought we had booked one more night and were out visiting sites. But our stay had expired and the staff couldn't reach us about checkout. They needed it cleaned for a new guest. So they packed up our stuff and stored it for us until we arrived later in the afternoon. And they were very understanding and nice after our mistake. We highly highly recommend this hotel.
