Stayed 3 nights

The stair is very very small, long and narrow, it is extremely difficult to carry heavy luggage back to the room. The maximum size of each step exactly equals to one feet (lady’s size), very easy to get hurt. Since I arrived at 11:00pm, I was told to get the key from the bar next to the hotel. I felt those staff in the bar were not friendly, maybe that was extra workload to them. When I successfully got the key and started the stay, I found the remote of air conditioner was not working. Obviously, the hotel staff did not check the room carefully. Then I went back to the bar and asked the staff to fix it or replace the batteries, the staff told me “nothing we can do, we only pass the key to you”. To me, it is not a reasonable hotel service, even a hostel service won’t be like this. Then I asked the bar staff to replace the remote batteries, they said “no, we don’t have it”. The last question I asked them was: “if there is nothing you can do, does it mean I have to stay without air con?”. The staff said “Yes, nothing we can do”. Here I want everyone to be aware of: 1. This hotel is absolutely not a good choice for travellers carrying big luggages 2. After you plan to have late check in, you are likely to deal with rude bar staff. And if you encounter any issues or problems with your room, NOTHING they can help. 3. DO NOT book this hotel in advance if you insist, because when I checked the room rate on 2 days prior to my check in date, it is only €35. But I paid €194.

Stayed 1 night

I arrived at midnight so I had to check-in next door at the bar but the bartender was immediately helpful in getting me the key. My room was up 3 flights of extremely steep stairs so you must be careful if you are bringing big bags! Luckily I only had one small case but even without bags it's quite tricky. The room was fine, there was a projector which would have been cool to use but I was too late to work it out. There was meant to be coloured lights in the room but it didn't work on the remote. For a one night stay it was decent and a good city centre location but I wouldn't haven't been comfortable on the soft pillows if I had to stay more than one night,

The room was not great, the sink (which was next to the bed and bedside cabinet) was really hard to access. Storage wasn’t great either. There was no kettle in the room-you received a complimentary hot drink from the bar downstairs but had to pay for the rest. The projector for the TV was very hard to watch-it was projecting onto a black wall and the light showed every bit of dust on every surface. The hallway and stairs outside the room were extremely dated too. Not the best stay. The shower light was connected to the bed LED lights-I had to ask how to switch the shower lights on as there are no instructions anywhere in the room.

Really sweet and helpful staff, but this is an old building so no elevators and if you're on anything higher than the second floor you will be humping your bag up very narrow, steep and curved stairs. The room was cozy, what you would expect from an older European hotel. I would stay there again because it's very central to a lot of the historic area, which was convenient.
