False advertisement. The official public offer on expedia.ca stated there is a heated pool. In fact the pool, located inside the building didn\'t work because of broken heater. There was the note on the pool room informing about the problem. Because the pool was the main reason why we choose that hotel we politely asked for refund. So we could book the proper hotel. Unfortunately, when we contacted the hotel clerk, she told us we have to contact expedia.ca directly, since the hotel does not manage the website. We did contact the expedia.ca . The ticket was created. No resolution so far. To make things worse expedia clerk "Nana" required to prove that the heated pool really didn\'t work. I spend many hours to prove that the pool was not in the promised service. Not the solution I expect from reputable company which stands behind their service. Funny things somebody at the hotel a couple hours later changed the note to " the pool does not work because of "unexpected low temperature". Heated pool? Both hotel and expedia clerks called me a liar. In fact that issue totally ruined my honeymoon trip so I have to cancel leftover trip and return home loosing decent amount of cash.

The only issue was the pool was not open. I think it may have been for renovations though. So if you are planning on staying there you may want to call ahead if a pool at the hotel is one of the top things on your list. They have a great continental breakfast, and can usually accommodate an early check in.

There was a very strong smell in the lobby the day we checked in. Almost like an ammonia smell, but I'm not positive that's what it was. I held my breath walking through. The floor we stayed on had some dirty guests that would just put their trash and linens out by their door. It all would sit out all night before anyone would pick it up. The garbage can on our floor had go plates (trash) stacked on top of it almost the whole time we were there. I guess they ran out of handicap parking so they allowed someone to park right by the entrance, it made maneuvering in and out the parking lot a bit challenging. The swimming pool was closed the entire time, with no notice at check in. I regularly stay at LaQuinta hotels, I would not stay at this one again.

Room smelled clean but extremely heavy on whatever cleaning product was used. I didn’t like that the pool was closed but wasn’t made aware till arrival. Pool looked to have been closed for awhile so not like this was a recent event.

Checkin was awesome. Good parking. Clean, comfortable, nice. Only bummer is pool is out of service.

Clean rooms, access to weight room

Staff was friendly, breakfast was plentiful, workout room excellent for a hotel, and bed was comfortable. Room very spacious.

The pool was out of service. I feel like I should have gotten a discount. This was not told to me when I made the reservation.

I booked this hotel because it had an indoor pool. When I dressed to swim and went down to the pool, I found that the pool was 'out of order' I would never have booked that hotel if I had known the pool was not operational. When one of a hotel's main attractions is not working, it should be noted on the listing.

Very clean smell clean

In the past, my family and I have stayed here several times. I have previously praised this hotel for its quality. However, the check-in experience today was terrible. We were treated rudely by the man who checked us in and he was not helpful at all. The sofa in the room was filthy and stained. In the restroom, the corner top was dirty. It is safe to say that we will not be returning.

The room has a very musty smell. What ever you use to clean had a very overpowering smell. The shower was full of mold in the corners. I stay in a lot of LaQuinta’s this one was out of the ordinary for sure.

Hotel was very clean and nice! We will definitely stay again if we have to come back to this area. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

This place was the nicest cleanest place I have ever visited, especially in Lafayette. The staff was amazing. The place was super clean and it smelled so fresh in there. The room was the exact same thing very clean. It smelled really good shower pressure was good microwave it was a perfect day.

We enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and quiet with comfortable beds.

Rooms were extremely clean.

No internet the whole trip on the 3rd floor, so couldn't work. Tried to reset the router, but no luck. Bathroom sink completely clogged. On the bright side, it was clean and well kept. Pretty good breakfast.

Room was very comfortable. Friendly check in. Didn’t like the street noise all through the night.

The room is teal nice. Having problems with the Air Conditioner. Room not very cool!

No wifi. Supposedly working on it.

The facilities have been updated, but the water pressure on the 4th floor was very poor.

I did not like how loud it was in the room above us till 2 in the morning!

Okay stay.. could've been better. Room walls are thin!! We heard every conversation on both sides of us.. even through the bathroom! We were even next to pet friendly rooms and listened to dogs bark throughout the day/night! We loved the smell of the hotel. Staff was friendly.

Staff is always nice and helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. Great hotel!

Great location and clean establishment. Customer service at check in was great. I even enjoyed the light breakfast.

Wife stayed at hotel and was given the key to a room that was occupied upon checkin. Very unsafe check in. Females traveling alone be careful for your safety as these careless mistakes can be very unsafe if room keys are given out by mistake to your room and you are sleeping in there.

Absolutely Loving my stays here very comfortable and most importantly very clean. Joy ( Assistant Manager) is such a doll and does an amazing job with her work and customer service and support.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay. Nick, the manager, was very helpful, attending to our every request. He offered, too, a good recommendation for a restaurant nearby.

Do not recommend. Arrived at 9:30pm after a long day of driving hoping to get checked in and settled for the night. Girl at front desk barely looked up from her phone and did not even say hello. Told her I had a reservation and she gave me keys. Upon carting all our stuff up to the room it was very dirty...dirt all over the beds and on the floor and one of the beds had clearly recently been slept in. Went back downstairs to let the girl know, She again did not look up from her phone and I had to bend down to get in her line of vision to get her to acknowledge me. Let her know about the condition on the room and she didn't say anything,..no sorry or let me take care of that...nothing. Just grabbed keys from my hand and took out a new set of keys. She did not tell me which room they were for...luckily it was written on key sleeve. Went back upstairs and keys did not work on the room that was written on the sleeve. So I had to go back downstairs. For a third time she did not look up from her phone and once again, said nothing to me, not apologizing for the inconvenience. She fixed the keys and I returned upstairs, finally able to get into the room. It was really frustrating that getting checked in took about 45 minutes after a long day of travel. Room was cleaner than the first but carpet had nasty stains in many places. Toilet paper holder in bathroom falling apart. Loud people in the halls until late. Breakfast mediocre with very limited selection.

The front desk staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

Front desk gave strange man key to my room, me & my kids woke up to a strange man in his underwear climbing in bed with us & NO ONE HAS CHECKED TO SEEE HOW ME & MY KIDS ARE DOING

This is a great quiet and clean hotel close to the university. Will stay here again!

Modern and new-appearing. Good location.

Property was well maintained. Location is excellent.

We are frequent travelers to Lafayette, LA to watch our daughter play soccer at ULL. We always stay at La Quinta since it is a nice place to stay and conveniently located!!

Great location for events

The hotel is great for location to central Lafayette. Hotel is clean and feels safe.,

Condition, staff, cleanliness and quality were excellent. A pleasant treat. Reception area with open lounge was very inviting. Location was central to the town, but pick your time wisely. Traffic this part of town is thick. Drivers tend not to be considerate. I will chose to stay there again

Clean, comfy, good area, and really good breakfast.

Sink was damaged in the room. Breakfast was mediocre even for a hotel breakfast.

Carpert was visually old and dirty. Breakfast was almost terrible.

Really a very clean property. Highly recommend for terrific amenities as well. Full breakfast provided. It could not have been better!

Our visit to Lafayette La, we always stay here. The rooms/restrooms have always been clean. It’s nice and quiet. The staff are very friendly. I love the full breakfast. The kitchen staff always have the dinning area clean and the food well stocked.

All of the staff at this hotel are pleasant, professional and accommodating. It makes up for the room not being up to date and npt as presentable as I would like. IAdditionally, the food selection is sort of limited and does not change from day-to-day. Wven with the few short-comings, I rested well every night. I would definitely stay at this Inn again.

Breakfast was poor. The dough for waffels was sour. The light in the bathroom was extremely bright, the Ventilator was very loud.

The staff at the front desk is kind and courteous. Food is good but you have to show ip 30 minutes before close because once the food is gone they don’t put more food out.
