The hotel was closed i didn't get to enter

Dirty sheets, dirty pool, no hand soap in bathroom. Unpleasant stained carpet.

When first arrived the bathroom smelled awful. It did not smell clean at all and the toilet bowl was dirty too. There was only 2 towels in the bathroom, when we are a family of 4 and that was included in the booking. Also, each bed only had 3 very thin pillows. We asked for more pillows and were told they didn’t have any and were sent to cleaning and had not returned. I don’t know if this is what management told employees to say so they wouldn’t give more pillows out. Third, we asked for our room to be cleaned and we would tell when we returned that the carpet was not vacuumed. Lastly, we went out to the pool and it was dirty with dead bugs and leaves in the water. The tables had old cigarette butts on the trays and there were no clean towels outside. The only positive about our stay was the breakfast.

It was overnight stay for when we went for our cruise. We wanted to be close to Kemah to hang out over there if we wanted to. When we got there the check in was smooth. We got to our room and there was a smell of like water from the pool. Then we used the toliet and it wouldn’t flush and the bed looked like someone was there and decided to switch rooms it didn’t look like it was made up again. I then went to see if I could switch rooms and there were two others ahead of me with the same idea. When the front desk got to me and I told her what was wrong she looked and didn’t see any other rooms available and seemed overwhelmed and she said she will call us when she can find out what she could do. She called us about 40 minutes later with no solution but the toliet started to fill up again with water and started to work right so we just sanitized the room and delt with it. Also we needed to print off documents and the printer did not work at the self service business center area nor did they have toiletries (toothpaste and toothbrush) It just was not a good stay and I would not go back or recommend.

Customer service was excellent. Rooms are very clean. Plenty of parking. Safe neighborhood

We were scheduled to stay here for 17 days while visiting family, but on the 9th night at 2:30 in the morning there was a fire in one of the rooms. Everyone had to find new accommodations because there was water damage to one area of the hotel. Despite this incident, I’d recommend this place. Rooms are spacious and modern. They have a great gym area with nice equipment. Breakfast is your typical eggs & sausage, cereal, fruit and pastries.

I like how the property was set back from the main road.

Very clean place. Laundry was great to have on site. Location is good as several places to eat nearby. Cost was good for what you get. A/C is one of the best. Can’t complain about this place.

Electrical failure issue, fire event has to leave room at 2am 1-20-24 stayed at parking lot until 4am when fire department let us walk for our stuff, hope we get a refund, only used the room for about 3hrs

We had an issue where they put an additional hood for a random amount (108.12). No one could tell what it was for and I had to wait for it to fall off. I wish it had EV charging as well.

The hotel room and common areas were not clean. Called for housekeeping and they were not available for 2 nights. We had no towels when we entered the room and the floor was not vacuumed. I am very disappointed.

This property was convenient for my needs, in the lobby was very attractive. Check in was easy. The hotel room itself was basic and serviceable. However, the bathroom was subpar – there was mold in the shower, the towels were very thin, and there were no washcloths, and I could not find a hair dryer. Of course I needed those things in the morning and did not have time to call the front desk and ask going to get delivered. There are much better budget choices close by.

I was disappointed in this Holiday Inn Express. Usually HIE is very clean and nice. Unfortunately the bathroom had mold and mildew and there were hairs in the towels. I would not recommend this as one of the Holiday Inn Express best properties, not even close.

Very clean great breakfast and close to everything

After arriving and checking in, we found a dead roach in the shower. We asked the front desk if housekeeping could come take care of it and she said there is no housekeeping, but she’ll take care of it. There was one woman working the entire hotel. She was very nice. We also found that our room had no towels, so she had to bring us towels. The room was an accessibility room so it had a sliding door to the bathroom to accommodate a wheelchair, but that sliding door was broken both the handle on the inside of the door, and it was broken off the bottom rail or pin that the door was supposed to slide upon. Finally, there was a light in the room that we never found the switch to turn off so we slept in the room with one of the lights on the entire night.

It was nice, quiet, safe and the beds are very comfortable.

Room and bathroom clean but has a weird smell

Overall stay was good, beds are hard and pillows are very hard and uncomfortable. Did not get any sleep because of the bed and pillows.

Our room was awful very musty smell

We were on the 3rd floor and it was very noisy which was fine except late night / very early morning. We are always up by 6, but it was difficult to sleep because of the slamming doors and noise from the parking lot. The property should add something to the doors to keep the slamming doors from creating so much noise. The bottom of our shower - facing the toilet - not the surface you stand on was dirty. The bed was one of the most firm I’ve experienced in quite a while. Breakfast was very underwhelming, but also free so there is that. The coffee was fine, and that was my immediate need.

Room had not been cleaned, bedding on floor. Air conditioning was not working. Temperature stayed at 80 -81 degrees. Unable to adjust the thermostat. Miserable trip. I will not be returning.

Checked in and went to my room. I thought it was odd that the TV was on and the room was humid. Well, the AC wasn't working and the room didn't have a remote. Check-in was easy and the clerk was nice. Points for that.

Check in process went poorly with the worst customer service I have experienced in decades.

Upon check-ln, I waited 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. When they did show up they were rude, beligerent and incompetant. I've stayed there at least10 times in the past. Never staying there again. There are too many other hotels in the area to put with being treated that way.

Unfortunately, this was not a great experience. The room was in rough shape—scratches all over the walls and furniture, and the door was broken. Despite asking for the room to be cleaned, housekeeping never serviced it during our stay. Any time we asked the staff for help or information, it felt like we were inconveniencing them. They were noticeably frustrated and unhelpful. When we called to report issues with the room, only a few were noted, and it was clear they didn’t really care. To make matters worse, we were charged a random $150 fee that no one at the front desk could explain. We were told only a GM could speak to us about it. When we asked for a receipt or emailed confirmation of the charge, they couldn’t provide that either. Very frustrating overall—I wouldn’t recommend staying here.

This otherwise-good hotel was woefully understaffed. There was only one woman working, and when the keycard reader in my door stopped working it took her half an hour to repair it, and then the repair immediately failed. She needed help, and couldn't get it, and so I spent a huge chunk of my time in Seabrook waiting for a secure room.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds and a pull out couch (5 people). When we got to the room there were 3 towels and no bedding for couch. We called front desk to request items. Front desk was abrasive and was not wanting to bring us any items. She finally agreed to bring items. She only brought a sheet for the pull out couch. No pillow or blanket. I asked again at the front desk. She was rude and said that she would have to go another location in the hotel to get those items. Unbelievable when I paid extra for 5 people and to have a couch bed. Not a good look.

We really like the place , really nice and friendly staff .

We stayed 2 nights but housekeeping did not come. Is this a thing these days? We called desk for towels and they said pick them up at the desk, which we did. So what about the stack of wet towels on the floor and the over-full trash and we make our own beds? The breakfast was great and we liked the huge shower. Beds comfy and room was very clean when we arrived.

The room was clean & spacious. Staff was friendly, the breakfast was delicious, and check in/out was quick and efficient. I would stay here again.

This is my go to property every time we come in town! Always clean and peaceful! Near boardwalk and not far from shopping centers!

We stay here every time we’re in the area. It’s always clean & accommodating. The location is perfect for the Kemah Boardwalk, all the waterfront eateries & todos… & they’re have a free breakfast buffet. Great bang for the buck!

Good value. The place was nice and clean. The breakfast was good.

Room wasn’t ready at check in time, manager was very nice and was able to give me a discount. I would say upgrade the breakfast bar, better coffee.

Cooks showed up late food was cold and an hour late!

This was the worst hotel ive been to. I feel horrible for taking my kids to this dirty place on New Years. First of all the check in wait time was long. We arrived at the room and the smell was horrible. I wanted to start the new year relaxed and not get mad over little things so I let it slide. We were in a rush to hwad out that I really didnt check the room and we just wanted to leave fast due to the smell. When we came back in the night it was dark so didnt see the dirtiness. This morning when we woke up to go get breakfast, OMG! Everything was dirty! You could tell it was never cleaned because there was trash and crumbs all around the edge of the carpet. Every piece of furniture was dirty and dusty. Trash cans were dirty.. I took pictures of everything for my records since there were red spots on caroet and some kind of white spots on sofa bed. The breakfast looked so bad that we had to just pick up and leave 2 hours before checkout. There was no milk, no pancake mix and the sausage patties were half cooked. Very bad experience. We will not be back.

Everything was excellent except breakfast, breakfast time was till 9.30 but most of the items were gone by 8.45, no once cared to refill them, lot of people were waiting for breakfast but were disappointed. It happened for two days straight out of 3 days we lived there.

Overall very nice stay, however the staff were not always so pleasant. The kitchen staff we’re unprofessional around guests and did not seem as prepared on food. A lot of guests in the dining area were waiting on certain things for a very long time, so as myself. We decided to stop waiting and go get some food. Although we were already paying for continental breakfast, we had to go elsewhere for breakfast.

Breakfast was not ready at 6:30 as noted. Trash outside was blowing out of the can into parking lot. Counters were cluttered and dirty when I showed up to sign in, had to clear off the counter to set my purse down.
