Two things were disappointing. One of the housekeeping staff on the 16th floor is wearing some sort of bell that makes a sound whenever/whereever they are walking up and down the halls. It's very annoying to guests who AREN'T getting up and out by 0700. It continues all day - for the duration of their shift. I could hear it through my closed door at the end of the hall. I don't know if it's a requirement (I haven't had this experience at other APA hotels) but it's disturbing to the peace and quiet you'd expect in Japan. The other thing is that it was cheaper to go through the Hotels dot com app to purchase another night, rather than pay the 2,000 yen per hour the hotel wanted to extend, or even purchase from another nights stay the hotel directly, with me standing in front of them. APA seems to be more about a cash grab these days than they were a few years ago.

Hotel is conveniently located near the train station. The facilities are very clean. The elevators, however are very crowded and the wait can be long. Breakfast was OK, nothing special and pretty much the same every day. More daily variety would be nice for guests who are staying more than a few days.
