The location was great. The hotel looked like it needed some updates. The rugs in the hallways were in need of a good cleaning. The pool was under construction. It wasnt as nice as I had hoped.

There was no soundproofing from the bathroom to the commode, and there was no soundproofing anywhere in the room. We could hear everything everywhere. I was given a room both next to the ice machine and the highway. It was so loud, I couldn’t hear the TV when it was set at 9. The Mai. Reason I stayed there this trip was the availability of an EV charger. Only one of the two chargers were working. The first night there was a car plugged in. It was still there in the morning. I came back twice that day and there was another car there. It was plugged in overnight. When I was leaving at 7AM the next morning, I witnessed a car pull into the parking lot and drop off the owner. She was not even a hotel guest. She was just using the free charger, so that guests could not charge. I had to leave earlier than planned and pay for a supercharger elsewhere because of this situation. Hotel was clean, checkin was easy, just ask for a quiet room and don’t book thinking that you will be able to charge your EV there.

Stayed over the weekend during the Holiday rush and it was the perfect location. There is a bus down the street that takes you directly to Port Authority. Lots of dining options around and Walmart down the street to stock up on snacks and drinks. Breakfast was available each morning which is not included but great to access. Gym has all the essentials and pool was fun for the kids. The staff was amazing and accommodating. My son has an allergy to cat & dogs so they made sure our room was throughly cleaned well in advance to ensure we had no issues during our stay. Rooms were clean and house keeping restocked our needs every other night which was sufficient for our stay. Maria, Jasmine, Mario, Glorimar, Asher, Vanessa & Emilyade sure our stay was comfortable. Will definitely be coming back when we do NYC again!

The front desk staff was wonderful and inviting. They were flexible with our reservation after our flight was cancelled until the next day. The bartender was kind and helpful w/information. The setup of the rooms are nice and modern however, when you have hardwood mostly throughout the room, it has to be swept daily. Even after we requested a full service clean, the floor was dirty so we got the broom and swept ourselves which was not ok. The shower stalls had rusty rings around them that could easily be cleaned with CLR and elbow grease. I long for the days when hotel rooms at least looked pristine to the naked eye. Now it doesn’t matter.

There is quality control issue with this property. We were put in a room that apparently needs revocation. The floor looks like it’s been soaked in water that’s all peeled up. The gap between the door and floor was so wide that we could hear people talking and running from a distance. We believe a room like this shouldn’t be open for bookings. It was late and with 2 young children and one of the asleep, I can’t say I enjoyed the stay and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend, it’s modern looking and the location is convenient that’s the bright side.

Each time we entered the room we could smell the mildew. The floor outside of the shower was buckling from water damage. The walls are paper thin. We asked for our rooms to be next to each other, we were told they were going to be across from each other. Upon checking in we were told they were on different floors because the hotel was booked. The wrong keys were initially given for the wrong room. After asking about check out we were told 11a but after reviewing our paperwork and the signs on the door we saw it was 12p. Outside of that, the staff was very kind.

Pros : The location is quite convenient to get to NYC. One direct bus is available to NYC in about 20 min. The area looked safe at least we didn't see anything when we r back from NYC at 11pm. It's with some restaurants and a Walmart around. Cons: the hotel looked new but the cleanliness May need further effort. I would easily spot dusts and hair on the floor even on our first night of stay. The laminated floor in bathroom also swelled coz the shower room sliding door couldn't really shut tight.

Very nice rooms! Perfect for our small family as well. Only thing I did not like was the water didn’t seem to get very hot while taking a shower. Which we stayed for 3 days and I did take showers at different times during the day/night and still water seemed luke warm. But overall great stay.

Very convenient location surrounded by lots of food options which was really nice. Two bus stops within walking distance that take you to Times Square. My only issue was that the hotel is right by the highway and it was very difficult to get a good night rest with the loud cars.

The Hotel is near a highway, so it is extremely noisy. It was very difficult to fall asleep. The shower head was loose and it didnt stay in place. There is a ton of restaurants nearby within walking distance.

Hotel was bright and inviting. My room was comfortable and clean. Lovely walk in a shower. Water pressure was mediocre but the water temp was perfection. Extra lighting in the bathroom for make up application along with a hand held steamer instead of a bulky screeching potentially burning iron. Conveniently located near Walmart and a variety of places to eat. Unfortunately no restaurant on site. Bus stop to Port Authority in NY was directly across the street. EXCELLENT STAY FOR THE PRICE!

What influenced my 3 stars was the lack of customer service. Every time I would go down to the front desk, no one was there or would come out if I had a question. Every time I sent a message to staff, they took forever to respond. My food I ordered from the hotel restaurant was not ready on time, prepared poorly, and didn’t taste good. It was an extremely limited menu to choose from and was late for me to walk to the nearby restaurants. I ended up using DoorDash to eat from while I’m at the hotel. I also did not like my hotel phone could not relay out to the front desk and there was no housekeeping when I indicated to be done every other day during my stay. Every time I would notice something, staff wouldn’t be around to answer my questions. This is usually my go-to hotel when I’m in the NJ/NYC area because staff made guests feel welcomed. I’ve stayed here multiple times without incident. I’m not sure if the property is experiencing a staff shortage, but it’s affecting customer service enough for me not to come back. If I could get my money back, I would. I know this not a five star hotel, but staff made it feel like a 5-star hotel…not anymore.

The front office check in staff lied to us saying that we were booked for only one king bed room, where we booked 3 suits with 2 queen beds. We had 5 kids who suffered and slept on the floor due to this. The front desk lady refused to accommodate with any other rooms too. The next day, when i checked again with the front office, now its a man and he checked and said we were indeed paid and booked rooms of 2 queen beds and he refunded the extra money that we paid. If a customer is lied too and not given the rooms that were booked and on top of it refused to accommodate kids .. is a place that i would never return back and recommend any.

Check in was quick and easy, the room was nice, the staff was wonderful at check in and check out. Several restaurants in walking distance as well as a Walmart and Sam’s Club. Ample parking as well. They were understaffed in the evening, so I had to go downstairs to get my own extra towels instead of someone bringing them up. Other than that, the stay was great. I’d stay there again!

We had a great experience and highly recommend this location to anyone visiting NJ or NYC. The staff were absolutely amazing! They welcomed us and assisted with all questions to make our visit a stress free. A special shout out to Asner P. for his top notch customer service!

When arriving at hotel to check in we were told our reservation was canceled with absolutely no notice...it was 10 o'clock at night and then had to scramble to find another hotel. The front desk was not sympathetic and made no help with other accommodations.

They were overbooked and couldn’t honor the reservation. Had to leave to find another hotel at 2 am with all my bags. Worst part is they still charged me. Terrible hotel.

First we got room 530 which was very noisy due to location next to the highway. The reception was very very kind helping us moved to 402, BIG THANKS 😃. Room is new, clean and spacious. Only no shower cable. Location is great, take bus 320 to NYC. 8.50usd day roundtrip.

The Aloft Secaucus Meadowlands is the perfect place to stay. It's got a nice size lot with free parking and lots of dining and shipping options nearby. It's easy to get into New York City as well as other nearby areas. The hotel is clean, welcoming, comfortable, and the lobby has a pool table, TVs, conversation nooks and outlets so it's perfect for relaxing or working. They also have a computer and printer available for us. The staff was absolutely terrific! Everyone was super nice and helpful. Thank you for a great week!

This hotel had everything we needed for a quick trip into the city. Free parking, no issues parking very close to hotel entrance. Very short (maybe 5 min?) walk to NJ 320 bus stop on Plaza Dr. The bus goes every 15 mins, and tickets ($4.25) are easily purchased at a kiosk right at the bus stop. The bus drops you off at the port authority bus terminal on 42nd st and 8th Ave. Super easy walk to dinner and our Broadway show. Hotel was clean. Walls were a bit thin (we could hear our neighbors having a normal conversation), luckily our neighbors were quiet at night. There is no bathroom door, and the shower door is glass (there is a door to block off the toilet). Not an issue for us, but good to know depending on who you're traveling with. Breakfast is not provided (there is free coffee, but I didn't try it). We went to Bagels Plus and Deli for breakfast and it was delicious. (Right next to Dunkin donuts, but waaaay better).

Hotel is best you can expect for not actually being in Manhattan (which you can see quite clearly from the even-numbered rooms). The NJT 320 bus is across the street and gets you to the Port Authority bus terminal in about 25 minutes. Train is a 10 minute Uber ride and gets you to Penn Station in 15. Rooms were clean, but avoid the off-numbered rooms, as they face freeway and are a bit noisy. Staff was great- all either nice or super nice. Breakfast at hotel is cheap and serviceable. Several chain restaurants nearby, with two in sane parking lot as hotel. Would stay here again on business when rooms in Manhattan are too expensive.

Extremely ideal location (if you're going to the Metlife Stadium) - there are so many restaurant options and stores in the area. Staff was very friendly and the bar inside the hotels really cute!

Aloft is a beautiful hotel. We loved the decor starting from the lobby to our room. Our bed was very comfortable and the room very clean. I only have two cons about our stay, the pool was very cloudy and a bit dirty and breakfast wasn’t so good, I was expecting it to be served on a plate but instead it was served on a cup and the food was under seasoned.

What influenced my 3 stars was the lack of customer service. Every time I would go down to the front desk, no one was there or would come out if I had a question. Every time I sent a message to staff, they took forever to respond. My food I ordered from the hotel restaurant was not ready on time, prepared poorly, and didn’t taste good. It was an extremely limited menu to choose from and was late for me to walk to the nearby restaurants. I ended up using DoorDash to eat from while I’m at the hotel. I also did not like my hotel phone could not relay out to the front desk and there was no housekeeping when I indicated to be done every other day during my stay. Every time I would notice something, staff wouldn’t be around to answer my questions. This is usually my go-to hotel when I’m in the NJ/NYC area because staff made guests feel welcomed. I’ve stayed here multiple times without incident. I’m not sure if the property is experiencing a staff shortage, but it’s affecting customer service enough for me not to come back. If I could get my money back, I would. I know this not a five star hotel, but staff made it feel like a 5-star hotel…not anymore.

Hotel was bright and inviting. My room was comfortable and clean. Lovely walk in a shower. Water pressure was mediocre but the water temp was perfection. Extra lighting in the bathroom for make up application along with a hand held steamer instead of a bulky screeching potentially burning iron. Conveniently located near Walmart and a variety of places to eat. Unfortunately no restaurant on site. Bus stop to Port Authority in NY was directly across the street. EXCELLENT STAY FOR THE PRICE!

There was no soundproofing from the bathroom to the commode, and there was no soundproofing anywhere in the room. We could hear everything everywhere. Stayed over the weekend during the Holiday rush and it was the perfect location. There is a bus down the street that takes you directly to Port Authority. Lots of dining options around and Walmart down the street to stock up on snacks and drinks. Breakfast was available each morning which is not included but great to access. Gym has all the essentials and pool was fun for the kids. The staff was amazing and accommodating. My son has an allergy to cat & dogs so they made sure our room was throughly cleaned well in advance to ensure we had no issues during our stay. Rooms were clean and house keeping restocked our needs every other night which was sufficient for our stay. Maria, Jasmine, Mario, Glorimar, Asher, Vanessa & Emilyade sure our stay was comfortable. Will definitely be coming back when we do NYC again!

The hotel room was great, but it didn’t have a microwave and the there was no door separating the shower space so you have to be close with who you are traveling with! Best shower of my life tho the water pressure was amazing and the bed was very clean and comfortable.
