This is a hidden gem in Punta Mita- the ten room property is beautiful and the food and staff is 5 star. Large rooms and balcony, double closet, large shower, stunning view if you are in the ocean side Food- beautiful complimentary breakfast each day with big variety overlooking the ocean Pools and lounges on two decks, always felt you had the place to yourself Staff was so attentive- all spoke English and would help you with whatever you need. Negative- property is built into a cliff- over ocean covered in rocks. You can get to a private beach nearby though and they will supply you with what you need. Transportation- the property is on a hill with no paved road - all dirt and rocks. So it will cost you at least $25 for a taxi to downtown Punta Mita where the bars and restaurants are. But transportation comes in minutes in very nice cars

Amazing views and amazing staff. Property is off of a dirt road and unless you pre-schedule an uber or car or rent a car, you’re stuck at the hotel. Property could use a good refresh with pretty much everything metal rusting out including the all the gym equipment in their so called gym. And lastly, the lack of a usable beach is tough as well. All in all, quaint hotel, quiet and a different experience if that’s what you’re looking for. Just needs some basic annual maintenance, hopefully a paved road eventually and maybe invest in a golf cart to drive customers down to the closest swimmable beach.

Staff was very nice but the pictures of the property were very misleading. It is in the middle of nowhere down a very rough dirt road and next to the ocean but looks nothing like the beach in the pictures. You have to walk a ways down the road to get to a beach that is swimmable. Lots of rocks. When we arrived there was an awful sewer smell in the lobby and it permeated in the first room we were given. We had paid for a deluxe room with a mountain view but had to insist they move is. Second room was very nice and the food and service overall were great but had we known the location we would have stayed closer to town. Spectacular view from the rooftop but tiny pools. Not a great value for what they charge. Spent a week in Sayulita before venturing over to Punta Mita and in hindsight should have just stayed in Sayulita.

Just what I wanted. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a resort this is the place. There are beaches within walking distance if you want. But there’s a nice pool at Basalto. Even when it was full it seemed like there was no one there. The restaurant is amazing at reasonable prices. Can’t say enough about this place. If you want to relax this is the place. The town of Punta Mita is a 5 min taxi ride but even that town is not too busy.

Es un hotel para descansar.. si van en plan de divertirse este no es el hotel, la alberca del Roof está climatizada lo cual está super bien, sin embargo, no puedes hacer ruido de más porque enseguida te restringen. Su playa es muy muy pequeña. La atención del personal deja mucho que desear, para el costo del hotel esperábamos una atención más personalizada, lo cual no ocurrió en ningún momento. Las toallas ya están demasiado gastadas. A 5-10 min caminando está la playa más cercana, la cual está espectacular, HERMOSA ahí hay dos restaurantes bastantes ricos ambos, te rentan el camastro y puedes estar ahí todo el día muy agusto.

This place is fantastic! Rooms are very large and ocean view is amazing with great cool air coming off the water. Also beautiful sandy beaches a very short walk from property. Rooms were super clean and well appointed!

El gimnasio es terrible y los alrededores del hotel están terribles, no se puede caminar con calma y es complicado encontrar taxis o Uber, ademas los taxis cobran carísimo

We only stayed one night but loved this quaint boutique hotel. The included breakfast was wonderful. The homemade granola was delicious. The oceanfront room was comfortable and the view was beautiful. Rooftop pool was heated. Only downside is if you don’t have a car and want to get anywhere. The taxi took 40 minutes to pick us up. And the ocean right in front of the property was a little rough so swimming in it really wasn’t possible.

This hotel has ten rooms so you will have as much peace and quiet as you desire. The beach is small and private,with access at low tide to another beach very close by. The room was large and well appointed and fulfilled all of our needs. The on-site dining was very well done with many delicious choices. The one thing you will want to be aware of is it is secluded from many day or night time activities so plan on Uber or taxis to get you to livelier surroundings.

La estadía fue buena, lo que más vale la pena del hotel es el desayunar, comer o cenar, con vista al mar, los alimentos deliciosos. Tal vez lo que decepciona un poco es que el hotel no tenga playa en la cual puedas estar un rato disfrutando, tienes que moverte algunos minutos a playas públicas. Al realizar la reserva tuve muchos problemas al hablar al hotel, no contestaban, quedaron de regresar la llamada y nunca lo hicieron, en fin. La decoración de los cuarto bonita.

However, the area around the hotel is grubby (lots of run down buildings and construction) and the location is inconvenient/isolated. El hotel está lindo, limpio, la comida en general regular, algunos platillos mejor que otros. Es un hotel para descansar.. si van en plan de divertirse este no es el hotel, la alberca del Roof está climatizada lo cual está super bien, sin embargo, no puedes hacer ruido de más porque enseguida te restringen. Su playa es muy muy pequeña. La atención del personal deja mucho que desear, para el costo del hotel esperábamos una atención más personalizada, lo cual no ocurrió en ningún momento. Las toallas ya están demasiado gastadas. A 5-10 min caminando está la playa más cercana, la cual está espectacular, HERMOSA ahí hay dos restaurantes bastantes ricos ambos, te rentan el camastro y puedes estar ahí todo el día muy agusto.

This is a hidden gem in Punta Mita- the ten room property is beautiful and the food and staff is 5 star. Large rooms and balcony, double closet, large shower, stunning view if you are in the ocean side Food- beautiful complimentary breakfast each day with big variety overlooking the ocean Pools and lounges on two decks, always felt you had the place to yourself Staff was so attentive- all spoke English and would help you with whatever you need. Negative- property is built into a cliff- over ocean covered in rocks. You can get to a private beach nearby though and they will supply you with what you need. Transportation- the property is on a hill with no paved road - all dirt and rocks. So it will cost you at least $25 for a taxi to downtown Punta Mita where the bars and restaurants are. But transportation comes in minutes in very nice cars

Amazing views and amazing staff. Property is off of a dirt road and unless you pre-schedule an uber or car or rent a car, you’re stuck at the hotel. Property could use a good refresh with pretty much everything metal rusting out including the all the gym equipment in their so called gym. And lastly, the lack of a usable beach is tough as well. All in all, quaint hotel, quiet and a different experience if that’s what you’re looking for. Just needs some basic annual maintenance, hopefully a paved road eventually and maybe invest in a golf cart to drive customers down to the closest swimmable beach.

Staff was very nice but the pictures of the property were very misleading. It is in the middle of nowhere down a very rough dirt road and next to the ocean but looks nothing like the beach in the pictures. You have to walk a ways down the road to get to a beach that is swimmable. Lots of rocks. When we arrived there was an awful sewer smell in the lobby and it permeated in the first room we were given. We had paid for a deluxe room with a mountain view but had to insist they move is. Second room was very nice and the food and service overall were great but had we known the location we would have stayed closer to town. Spectacular view from the rooftop but tiny pools. Not a great value for what they charge. Spent a week in Sayulita before venturing over to Punta Mita and in hindsight should have just stayed in Sayulita.

Just what I wanted. If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of a resort this is the place. There are beaches within walking distance if you want. But there’s a nice pool at Basalto. Even when it was full it seemed like there was no one there. The restaurant is amazing at reasonable prices. Can’t say enough about this place. If you want to relax this is the place. The town of Punta Mita is a 5 min taxi ride but even that town is not too busy.

It is in the middle of nowhere down a very rough dirt road and next to the ocean but looks nothing like the beach in the pictures. You have to walk a ways down the road to get to a beach that is swimmable. Lots of rocks. When we arrived there was an awful sewer smell in the lobby and it permeated in the first room we were given. We had paid for a deluxe room with a mountain view but had to insist they move is. Second room was very nice and the food and service overall were great but had we known the location we would have stayed closer to town. Spectacular view from the rooftop but tiny pools. Not a great value for what they charge. Spent a week in Sayulita before venturing over to Punta Mita and in hindsight should have just stayed in Sayulita.
