Shilla Stay Samsung COEX Center

The property is ideally located near COEX and Starfield Mall and has great access to public transport. It's a shame that there was construction outside for 7 d/w. Great rooftop bar, laundry was great for a long stay, staff were very helpful. Loved the soap and shampoo in the bathroom! Gym too small/limited for a long stay.

The elevators were probably my only complaint, they always took a very long time and very full.

ShillaStay Samsung was fine generally. The location is great as it's right across from COEX, metro station and the airport shuttle service stop. But the lobby is on the top floor which has grat view, but getting there with limited working elevator is a little inconvenient. The room is pretty small but nice. Wish the loghting was brighter in the room and they definitely need additional lighting by the coffee station with a mirror. Overall it was okay, but i would try a different place next time.

락스냄새가 진동하고, 주차 공간이 좁아서 이중주차 하는데도 주차요금을 따로 받음... 방이 좁다.

The staff were extremely nice and helpful. However, the walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the carpets appear to need replacement. The lifts were quite problematic — there are too few for the size of the property, and during busy mornings, it can take up to 20 minutes to get a spot in one.

Loved the convenience for COEX mall, aquarium and temple. No room service and no takeaway service for food in bar was a pain, forcing us to go outside for takeout if we didn’t want seated dining. Breakfast buffet was very nice but ended too early.

Disappointed with our stay at Shilla Stay Samsung. We stayed there previously a couple of years ago and enjoyed it enough to stay again. Unfortunately this time was much worse. When we checked in, the first room we were given had a very heavy cigarette smell, to the point it was incredible the cleaning crew even allowed the room to be given to a guest. We were then switched to a different room that was more acceptable. Unfortunately, the next day this second room also developed an issue with sewage smell permeating from the bathroom. We were then transferred to a THIRD room, which thankfully had no issues with smells from that point. Sadly, the people next door in this new room were very loud, talking and laughing until past 2am into the night. Not exactly Shilla’s fault, but when I called to complain, the front desk called back to say the guests next door were not answering their door when knocked, and that there was nothing more they could do besides offer us ear plugs. It is honestly appalling that they would allow guests to continue to bother other guests despite knowing there was a problem. It is sad, because my wife and I had a great stay there previously, but the service and cleanliness has gotten much worse.

The staff were very kind, but the room and towels smelled like urine, so I have to wipe the floor with soap and water on a towel before living in the room. When I wiped the floor, black dirt came out. Next time I go to Seoul, I will look for another place, and I will take my own towel.

욕실 세면대 아래에서 하수구 냄새가 올라와서 담당자에게 요청해서 다른방으로 옮겼습니다 하지만 다른방에서도 시간이 지난뒤 하수구 냄새가 다시 약하게 올라와서 다시 짐을 들고 방을 옮기기가 힘들어 종이와 발매트 등을 올려놓고 밤을 보냈습니다 제가 묵었던 방들만 그런건지 ... 다른 호텔등을 이용해봤지만 이런 경우는 처음입니다 재방문은 하고 싶지 않네요

I couldn’t have a good sleep due to disgusting smells from pillow and blanket. I had an impression that pillow cover and blanket have not been changed because they were looking good. In the next morning, I had so much mustle pains because I moved my body trying to avoid those disgusting smells over the night. That was not a pleasant experience.

Had to change my room three times. Not clean

If you choose this property, lower your expectations. Yes, we were made aware that heavy road construction is being done fronting the hotel, so to be aware of the noise. This wasn’t a problem. The concern is the limited and very dangerous drop off and pick up area in front. Very difficult to get out of a cab with 4 lanes of fast moving traffic barreling down at high speed. Cab pick up also was just as scary because drivers were rushed to get out destination logged into map. Rooms were also dark and gloomy. There were four panel windows, but three were blacked out so we could only see out of one small window on the corner.

First room's bidet didn't work, asked to change rooms, and second room's bidet didn't work either. Stayed in second room anyways but asked them to take a look, nothing happened throughout the one week stay. Air condition was only on, on certain times (e.g. only from afternoon to early morning), and didn't work well. Despite setting 18 deg C (as a test), my room reached 26 degrees C (79-80 F) which is not a comfortable sleeping temperature. Thankfully weather outside got colder and I opened the window. Found long black hairs in the bed (i.e. not mine). Lobby is on top floor which is a bit inconvenient. All that coupled with the ongoing construction outside makes me not recommend it to others.

Very awkward hotel, no stile, not very and no windows in the room expect for a very small one

A acustica do quarto é muito ruim,escutando o barulho da TV do quarto ao lado. Muito barulho da obra que estava tendo em frente ao hotel e no final de semana devido aos eventos .

Rooms were too hot and only heater was an option. 26c and only option is to open the window or put the heater on is not good.

Love this place, very convenient to go around. COEX right in front of it! Very clean, spacious rooms and good bfast. Stayed for 15 days with family!

NO AIR CONDITIONING IN THE ROOMS. My room was up to 27.5 degrees C. I complained to the manager and asked for a refund for the 2 rooms I booked, but got no response. She said there was no air conditioning even though the hallways and the lobby were nice and cool. It was not just my room, that had a problem. I was traveling with 2 other people who had their own rooms and the same issue. I think they don't air condition the rooms until later in the season no matter how hot they get. In fact the manager told me it was cold outside. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The staff was very friendly and professional. The room’s thermostat couldn’t be controlled. When the room was heated, we couldn’t lower temp and were asked to open the window for cooling it down. There was a huge construction going on outside and it was occasionally noisy.

- Loud all night, can't get sleep - Massive construction right in front of the hotel (closed down the street). Looks like construction is just starting (today is June 9/2025) so be aware when booking this place. - Understaffed. When I call the front there's no one available to answer 50% of the time. - My room didn't get cleaned one night because they forgot. Goes to show how understaffed and mismanaged they are. - Because they're understaffed, some staff are very impatient with you & borderline rude. (some are lovely) - No concierge - Bedding feels rough and low quality :( - I had to extend my stay because my business trip got extended. I had no time to change hotels or rooms but if i did, I would've. In total I spent 10 days here, and endured through the loud noise each night... :( I complained nicely about it and they supplied me with earbuds. When I complained the second time, the manager did call me back personally to apologize and to offer a meal at their buffet. But it's still not worth the lack of quality sleep. What i liked about it: - Location: right in front of the subway exit & coex mall - Rooftop cafe has a gorgeous view on a clear day

The stay at Shilla was a great experience. The location is very convenient with the COEX Starfield mall just opposite the hotel and the subway station right at doorstep. The room was clean and cosy. The receptionists are friendly and helpful during my stay. Will return next time! - Arthur King

Early in the morning, One of hotel staff tried to open my room without any checking and fortunately door was not opened because of swing bar lock. I've called and complained at front desk, But I was not told any explanation nor apologies. Later on, I got the text message from them. It was scary experience, and somebody want to stay here, be better check swing bar lock or chain latch lock.

Terrible receptioninst (training) welcoming me at 1h00pm without Hello ... simply saying, checkin is after 3pm. I asked is it possible to see if my room / or a room is available to check in now ? Shes said again, check in after 3pm. Very impolite ... In the end, she realises I wasnt going anywhere and she found me a room I was able to check in right away. Room needs more cleaning, and maintenance. Dusty, black hair in the fridge, bathroom wood shelves under sink is roten.

This place is very near from subway station. It is very convenient.

Shilla Stay Coex is clean and conveniently located, with excellent accessibility to COEX and nearby subway stations.

Good location but had to change the room as of the road construction noisy. No compensation for the difference of the room rate for 7 nights. Should add the notes regarding the noisy on the booking website.

construction noise is serious, non stop motor noise never stop till 11pm. Earplug provided when complaint but still not avoidable. Location kills everything. Super closed to all. Best hotel to visit for COEX or shopping center including the huge underground shopping centers and Hyundai department store.

주변도로에 28년까지 지하공사로 인해서 소음과 공기질이 참기가 힘들정도에요. 특히 소음이 24시간 지속됨으로 잠을 잘 수가 없었어요.

I would like to say I had nothing but pleasant experience in this hotel of shilla stay Samsung Coex. I flew from heart of san Francisco. I stayed here 2024 and This year 2025. I chose this place mainly facing right front of Coex and Hyundai mall. They have heavy construction since last year till this year but that didn’t bother me. It is very convenient everying is walkable distance. Make sure add a breakfast option. It is totally worth it. They have chef in front making your Oder and food quality is plus. They also have roof top terrace experience of Seoul view as well. Hope this help others decision in reserving. Charlie

Great staff and stay. I did a business trip for 14 days. There is some construction outside the hotel currently. So be aware that it is loud outside. I honestly think they should include breakfast for guests staying above 10 days. It was a little expensive compared to the other hotels in the area for breakfast. Also, the apple pay not working for the breakfast buffet was very irritating. One day it would work, the next day it would not work.

The A/C didn’t work good the room was too hot all the time, temperature was always from 27 centigrade up so I could sleep well sweating the whole night. Also in the breakfast before 10am they close the view pulling the cortins down so you can not see outside and people still eating almost the personal kick everybody out very uncomfortable and un respectful with the guest in the restaurant. Very expensive for the standard the have.

위치가 매우 좋았고 투숙하는 데에도 불편함이 없었습니다. 로비가 1층이 아닌 맨 꼭대기 층이어서 그게 좀 불편했지만 여러모로 편안하게 지냈습니다. 디너부페도 마음에 들었고요. :)

Overall good place to stay. But breakfast buffet was worst ive dealt with in comparison to similar hotel such as L7 hotel for example.
