Very neat atmosphere with the hotel also being an art gallery. Only negative is we received a complimentary drink from the bar but it closed at 700pm and didn’t open until 1100am. We arrived after 700pm and checkout was 1000am. So kind of useless.

Had a great stay here. The hotel's in a very quiet residential area, about 10 minutes walk from the Asasuka subways and main tourist areas. It can be quite deserted if you're walking back late, but the area is very safe.the hotel itself is very minimalist, like a converted warehouse. The hotel also functions as an art gallery of sorts, with displays from local artists in the ground and basement floors. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The rooms also shared the minimalist aesthetic and were roomy in comparison to some similarly priced hotels in Tokyo. I liked that the room provided glass pitchers to refill with filtered water (located in the communal space in the basement). Overall a great stay and I'd recommend it if you don't mind walking a bit each day to public transit.

Situated in peaceful residential area near Asakusa station. Laundry is located at B1. Super convenient. Mess area with microwave and sink there too in case you’re hungry and decide to do some midnight konbini runs. Friendly staff too. Just that there’s no halal options for breakfast. Good thing there’s vegan option.

An amazing stay! I enjoyed the creativity of the basement, with its artwork, and beautiful furniture. The rooms were very tidy, and the bathroom was better that I expected. Highly recommended!

Unique property, art storage hotel offers something a little different. Accommodation was clean, modern and a good standard. Just two breakfast options which was fine for our 3 night stay but maybe an issue if you are staying longer. The food was a high standard and really nicely presented, the bar/cafe was really popular.

Located in a quiet neighborhood with cafes nearby and easy walking to train stations and attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed being able to get cocktails in the evening and coffees in the morning at the lobby cafe, however we didn’t realize reservations were needed for breakfasts. Being able to use the coin operated laundry on-site was convenient. The room was comfortable and my kids especially loved the lofted beds. The room was quiet and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Tokyo!

Peaceful location, still convenient for public transport. Spacious rooms in very good condition. Common areas are great to spend time in - we really enjoyed the basement lounge and the café. The art on display is also lovely. The staff were excellent. My only improvement would be some moisturiser sachets as an amenity.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at KAIKA Tokyo by The Share Hotels. It was very nice and clean with a cool artsy vibe, welcoming staff, and all amenities. We appreciated the unexpected offer of sleepwear and toiletries. Das Hotel war insgesamt in Ordnung. Die Lage war mittelmäßig, zu der nächsten U-Bahn Station musste man ca. 15 min laufen. Das Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick sauber. Bei genauerem Betrachten wurden aber einige staubige Ecken ubx z. B. auch ein paar Socken von den Gästen zuvor entdeckt... Großer Minuspunkt war auch, dass sich das Fenster nicht zum Lüften öffnen ließ. Beim Frühstück gab es nur die Auswahl zwischen einer veganen Bowl und einem Sandwich mit einem Getränk, Joghurt und Suppe. Wir haben uns für die Bowl entschieden, welche zwar gesund war, aber kaun gewürzt und komplett kalt (auch der Reis). Mit etwas Salz, welches wir auf Nachfrage bekamen, war es etwas schmackhafter. Das Hotelpersonal am Empfang sprach wenig englisch und wirkte eher desinteressiert. Insgesamt also nur eine mittelmäßige Bewertung und nur bedingte Weiterempfehlung.

Located in a beautiful Tokyo neighborhood filled with art and craftsmanship, this hotel made us truly happy. It showed us a different side of Tokyo. Although it’s not in the very center, we could easily reach many places by metro. The staff were kind and helpful, and the hotel was clean and well-organized.

The Kaika hotel was very unique and interesting. We liked the art displays. The room was small, but well laid out. we LOVED the bathroom, the combined shower/bath room was so great. And the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast downstairs was disappointing and very expensive. We did enjoy the lattes and juice though. The windows in the rooms did not open, which surprised us. So the rooms were very stuffy overnight. And the air intake vents were very dirty, they had a thick layer of dust on them, so I don't think the air quality in the rooms was great. We loved the neighbourhood the hotel is in, we rented biked a few days and biked to the SkyTree and biked around the river. A very quiet and safe area!

Very well thought out hotel. Really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was clean and staff were so polite. The only thing is the property is a little walk from the train station. It’s situated in a residential area, so it’s very quiet.

Property is interesting - polished concrete floors and walls. Rooms are a decent size. Had 2 singles with a double loft bunk bed. Worked well for 2 teens and 2 adults. Bathroom was clean and modern, with separate toilet. Beds were firm, room was clean. Is a 5-10 min walk to the subway and to the river (nice options to walk along the river and can see the sky tree lit up at night). Quite doable. Neighbourhood is quiet with not many food options, but many are available just 10 mins away. Breakfast was a bagel with salad. Different but was happily eaten by the teens. Price was reasonable for Tokyo. Would stay here again.

Windows in rooms are very thin. Not noise proof and it was quite windy, so I needed to lay on the opposite side of the bed. Queen bedroom room was quite small for two regular size people.

We just enjoyed a 7 night stay at KAIKA in Tokyo. Location was excellent, 10 min walk from the Asakusa and Kuramae Stations. If you’re flying into Narita, the Keisei Skyacess train goes directly to the Asakusa Station. The hotel itself is lovely - clean and modern. Front desk staff are friendly and helpful, although English language skills can vary. Rooms are fairly spacious for Japan standards. We booked the Moderate Large for our party of 3 (1 adult, 2 17 year old boys). Beds were comfortable but pillows were hard. Bathroom was small but functional, with a single sink, toiled behind a sliding door and a separate bath/shower area. Be aware that the door into the bath/shower room is clear glass: only 1 person can be in the bathroom at once as otherwise there’s no privacy while showering. Also no towel hooks or racks in the bathroom. Temperature control for the room was easy to use. Room had a few hangers and hooks, as well as a short row of cabinets. Cabinets were locked but the top surface allowed for storage. There’s also a mini fridge and tea kettle, mugs and teabags (FYI no coffee). Overall room is clean and modern. Our only complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that although the rooms have very large windows, the glass was frosted which meant we couldn’t see out. Felt a bit prison like. Several convenience stores are within a 5 min walk. Don’t miss the delicious family owned soba/udon restaurant just 2 blocks away - we ate there a few times. Must visit!

This hotel is in a quieter neighbourhood of Tokyo. About 10 -20 minutes walk from a subway, depending on which one you use. The hotel is lovely, clean, comfortable with an art exhibition. You don't get that very often! We had the superior double room which was a great size.

Das Hotel war insgesamt in Ordnung. Die Lage war mittelmäßig, zu der nächsten U-Bahn Station musste man ca. 15 min laufen. Das Zimmer war auf den ersten Blick sauber. Bei genauerem Betrachten wurden aber einige staubige Ecken ubx z. B. auch ein paar Socken von den Gästen zuvor entdeckt... Großer Minuspunkt war auch, dass sich das Fenster nicht zum Lüften öffnen ließ. Beim Frühstück gab es nur die Auswahl zwischen einer veganen Bowl und einem Sandwich mit einem Getränk, Joghurt und Suppe. Wir haben uns für die Bowl entschieden, welche zwar gesund war, aber kaun gewürzt und komplett kalt (auch der Reis). Mit etwas Salz, welches wir auf Nachfrage bekamen, war es etwas schmackhafter. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at KAIKA Tokyo by The Share Hotels. It was very nice and clean with a cool artsy vibe, welcoming staff, and all amenities. We appreciated the unexpected offer of sleepwear and toiletries. We didn’t take advantage of the breakfast option but enjoyed access to the dishes, microwave, and toaster oven in the lounge area which we had all to ourselves. We also enjoyed the delicious coffee and baked goods from Safn. We found the location perfect for us and enjoyed the short scenic walk over the bridge from Asakusa Station and easy access to nearby 711 for late night snacks. Would definitely recommend to other travellers!

Problem at the beginning because hotels.com and Japan hotels have a different child age limit. You really have to count any child older than 3 in booking thru hotels.com or you'll have an issue. Good thing the staff there esp sinji helped us since it's not our fault.

Overall it was a great hotel. The only thing is, it’s quite far from the station and bus stop. A bit of a walk to a convenience store too. However, this was our second time stay at this hotel. We chose this again because of its quiet atmosphere. But yeah, just the walk back to the hotel was hard.

Had a great stay here. The hotel's in a very quiet residential area, about 10 minutes walk from the Asasuka subways and main tourist areas. It can be quite deserted if you're walking back late, but the area is very safe.the hotel itself is very minimalist, like a converted warehouse. The hotel also functions as an art gallery of sorts, with displays from local artists in the ground and basement floors. The staff were very friendly and spoke English well. The rooms also shared the minimalist aesthetic and were roomy in comparison to some similarly priced hotels in Tokyo. I liked that the room provided glass pitchers to refill with filtered water (located in the communal space in the basement). Overall a great stay and I'd recommend it if you don't mind walking a bit each day to public transit.

Enjoyed being able to get cocktails in the evening and coffees in the morning at the lobby cafe, however we didn’t realize reservations were needed for breakfasts. Being able to use the coin operated laundry on-site was convenient. The room was comfortable and my kids especially loved the lofted beds. The room was quiet and we would definitely stay here again if we return to Tokyo!

Great property, would recommend. It may look weird when you first walk in but you get used to it there’s art everywhere. They offer full room cleaning everyday and laundry for 400¥ soap included. Also, the breakfast is great and looks like the image found online. BUT you will be tired of bagels if you stay multiple night. Lucky for you, there’s 7-Eleven, Family Marts and Lawsons all VERY walking distance.

Very neat atmosphere with the hotel also being an art gallery. Only negative is we received a complimentary drink from the bar but it closed at 700pm and didn’t open until 1100am. We arrived after 700pm and checkout was 1000am. So kind of useless.

The Kaika hotel was very unique and interesting. We liked the art displays. The room was small, but well laid out. we LOVED the bathroom, the combined shower/bath room was so great. And the beds were very comfortable! The breakfast downstairs was disappointing and very expensive. We did enjoy the lattes and juice though. The windows in the rooms did not open, which surprised us. So the rooms were very stuffy overnight. And the air intake vents were very dirty, they had a thick layer of dust on them, so I don't think the air quality in the rooms was great. We loved the neighbourhood the hotel is in, we rented biked a few days and biked to the SkyTree and biked around the river. A very quiet and safe area!

Mess area with microwave and sink there too in case you’re hungry and decide to do some midnight konbini runs. Friendly staff too. Just that there’s no halal options for breakfast.
