Renaissance Milwaukee West Hotel

This is a beautiful hotel with great technological updates. Bed was comfortable. The hotel was quiet snd private. The staff were sparse but did accommodate our requests in a timely and professional manner. The coffee/tea situation in the room was sub par as there was no tea at all. Coffee was limited until we asked for it. Cups were frugal. There were no water bottles/fresh water in the rooms. Outside of the rooms there was no tea near the check in desk and no hot water to make my own tea. Not everyone drinks coffee. It took time to get a cup of hot water and tea from the restaurant and we were charged for each one - but the coffee was free. We were charged $48.00 for parking and did not park in the ramp but outside the hotel in the handicapped parking area. $48.00 for handicap parking? I am from a big city and this just doesn't happen here. It was a good experience to have but I think we will look elsewhere when in the area again.

This was one of the WORST hotels my family and I have EVER stayed in. It is unfortunate that this was the case because this stay was booked for my sons birthday. The staff at the front desk were extremely rude. It was difficult to get in touch with the front desk so my boys literally went back and forth to get someones help, 5 different times. It was not even time to check out and the cleaning people were at our door. We were packing to leave, and the door was cracked open and she pushed it open 3 different times to ask if we were leaving. SUPER frustrating. This was a stay for FOUR. Not 2. We had TWO towels so my boys had to go get towels, There refrigerator was super dirty so the drinks we brought, were left on the counter. I mean who wants their food and drinks in a dirty fridge ya know? The AC in the room did not work. This was one of the times my boys went to the front desk to let them know. STILL, nothing was done. We booked here because it was somewhat close to the state fair. The price for ONE night was absolutely over the top. Understandable. The hotel is beautiful.... had good reviews, etc. I paid it thinking it would be a great stay. Turned out to be a very upsetting one, to say the least. I tried calling several times and nothing was done. It would be lovely to receive a refund of some sort. Anyway, my family and I did not enjoy this stay sadly. Thank you!

I would stay here again. The hotel is updated and modern.
