GoodMo Budapest Smart Rooms

Highly disappointed. I had missed my earlier train n arrived at the place around 7.15pm. The app didnt work. I didnt recieved any code to access the door. It was getting dark. A lady stopped by to help and dialled all the numbers listed. Finally someone answered and opened the door. But it was just a plain wall i couldnt get in as didnt knew the room number. I tried emergency number but it went on voicemail and disconnected. I kept talking to AI agent who was helpless. It was almost 8.45pm. I was standing alone outside in dark. Finally managed to book another hotel and had to pay 4 times the cost that I had paid here. It was very disappointing and shocking and scary experience which no one should go through. Next day, I kept calling from 11am as it was their office hours. No one answered until 12 pm. She asked me to check with xpedia as thats where i booked from for n raise the issue. This is a very scary situation which no one should fall into esp being an alone girl. Completely disappointed and dissatisfied.

This is definitely a hostel, not a hotel (I start with this because I asked for only hotels in my search results and this property should up), but as far as hostels go, it's on the very nice end. There are private one- and two-person rooms with the bathrooms being shared (but each an individually locking room). The bathrooms are plentiful and frequently cleaned (but still only as clean as the last person left them). There are also numerous places to relax and hangout, including a kitchen, living room, and outside area. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The smart keys, though, were very frustrating. If you purchase mutliple rooms, be sure to put a different phone number down for each room or you'll have a huge hassle at check in.

Good: Felt very safe at the accommodation and it was very clean and comfortable. Would stay and recommend to others. Very walkable to everything you need (shops) and to walk around Budapest. The self check in and access to rooms was cool and easy, only comment is that it becames a bit clunky and slow to use when going through multiple doors and when your phone is trying to connect to the WiFi. Bad/ but not really bad is the kitchen area can be loud when other people are using it and talking at the odd hours of the night, you can hear from the room. But that's dependent on who is staying and how late they stay up.
