Pros: excellent location, right next to train station, countless eateries, and walking distance to the electronics area of Akhibara; laundry facility with iron and ironing board available on a request; free coffee/tea; microwave for guest use; pleasant staff; comfortable beds. Cons: matchbox rooms with just a stool to sit on, unusually small pillows (although comfortable); two elevators for 19 floors, so almost always a long wait; outlets only at bedside. During our stay in May 2025, the hotel was frequented by many Asians and some business people. I feel like Asians are used to tiny rooms, but North Americans are not. We booked a king, and although the picture showed what looked like three beds in the room, I simply thought it was photography. It wasn’t. The king was the size of three single beds and that took up the entire room such that you could not get out of bed on either side. You had to scoot to the foot of the bed. There is also no lobby to speak of, so there is nowhere to sit, which made it even more difficult to tolerate the cramped quarters. Do not recommend for more than a very brief stay.

They turn off the cool air function in the air conditioning system because of winter. Room temperature is rising to 26.8 degree Celsius. They refuse to open the window. No one can breath without circulating air. I hope they will improve that.

A nice and comfortable hotel. Very close to JR station. Shops and convenience stores nearby. However, the lobby is very small and have no chairs, and we are forced to meet at the entrance, which may not be a good experience in Summer. Besides, it is desirable to install one more washing machine in the laundry so that we don't have to wait too long to have our clothes washed.

Travelers beware! I’ve stayed here many times during the last couple of years and have never been questioned about my name at check in. Expedia only allowed me to register my first and last name, but the receptionist said my name doesn’t match with my full name showing on my passport. After I protested and showed her how I made my booking, I was “reminded” that the name must be exactly the same, or else I wouldn’t be able to check in at all. Seriously?

Steps away from Okachimachi station with great dining and shopping options nearby. Room is cramped but typical by Tokyo standards. Building looks new and modern, rooms are very clean. Breakfast is served in the adjacent cafe from a set menu. Tasty but portions are a bit small. Be prepared to wait quite a while for the elevator and laundry room. The machines are front loading combined washer/dryers which means cycles take forever or the machine is always breaking down. I had to stand by to rearrange my laundry in the washer because it would stop and show an error every time the load became unbalanced. Can be quite frustrating if you need to do a quick load of laundry while on your trip. Overall it was a decent hotel but the laundry and elevator issue is enough to consider other options for my next stay.

Just a minute or two walk to multiple subway lines made this a very convenient place to stay. Staff was nice and friendly. The rooms are small but that was to be expected as they are in most Tokyo Hotels. We were surprised to find there was a laundry room with two machines. They were washer/dryer combo machines but the dryer didn’t work all that well. If you have a normal size load, (more than 5 or 6 articles of clothing) you’ll likely need extra drying time. Room was clean and they cleaned every day if needed. Nice view of Tokyo skytree from upper levels and nice nature sounds in the hallways. The 2 elevators sometimes took a while due to the number of floors they were covering. The check in desk was on the second floor and there was a cafe on the first floor that had a couple decent breakfast options. Enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

Nice location, easy to locate. Hotels are surrounded by lots of great restaurants and bars. Only make us uncomfortable is the air-conditioning are centralized controls, and windows are fully sealed off. We were felt suffocated when it blowing hot air.

A short walk to Ueno station, the zoo, and restaurants. Cleaning staff need to be more attentive to clean under the beds. My daughter dropped something and it fell under the bed and it was disgusting (wrappers, crumbs, dust balls). Other wise great location. Staff were friendly. Front desk is located on the second floor.

The hotel is in a very nice area. Convenient to the large Ueno Station. There are lots of shops around the area and it is very walkable. It is close to Ueno Park which has a beautiful pond. The hotel itself is safe and quiet with the usual amenities expected in a Japanese mid-range hotel. The only critique I have is that the room. I would rate cleanliness 3/5 and there were some wall markings. Overall I would recommend this hotel.

The property/room were clean, staff were friendly/helpful and the location was great. We had a large king room but it felt small as we could only open 1 large suitcase at a time. The laundry room only had 2 low capacity machines so it would be better if there were more machines or switch to machines with higher capacity so clothes can dry faster.

Property is indeed great location, its clean but I was rudely treated upon check-out. Like most hotels in Japan we thought our chrck out was 11am. But at 10:20am a loud banging knockon our door was one of the front desk staff. Despite me apologizing that we thought check out was 11. The staff stood at the door with his hand open on the door asking us to leave immediately. I have never been so rudely treated and mind you we fully paid even before checkin with no outstanding payment. The staff was extremely rude and just stood there as we had no time to even check if we left anything. We were already packed and ready to check out but i warn everyone to not book here. Extremely rude staffi have never been disrespected

The room was quite small even for Tokyo standards. The lobby is very cramped and the hallways were crowded with carts and boxes. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t bad but I wouldn’t want to stay for a longer period of time. The lady that checked us in almost didn’t let us because our middle names were on our passports but not the reservation. I couldn’t remember if Expedia even has a middle name option when booking and we didn’t have any problems with the other two hotels we stayed at in Japan.

(We stayed in this hotel three times, a total of 11 nights, in Jan and Feb 2026. The following is our overall comments) Pros: Room attendants were nice and efficient. Location is good. Cons: We stayed in this hotel several times because of its convenient location, but the services was getting worse. Some of the staff at the front desk were very impatient and impolite, made assumptions about customers, and forced customers to use an unfamiliar language (Simplified Chinese) to complete the forms (he insisted rudely that we can only use Simplified Chinese even we explained that we were not familiar with it. It's ridiculous that foreigners were not allowed to use English to fill out the forms. Not all of your customers are mainland Chinese!!!). The digital pen was not working, but a staff insisted that we used it. The lobby is tiny (which is common and understandable for hotels in Tokyo). But someone sat on the floor, blocking the hallway, chatting on his phone loudly, and no staff is doing anything. The fridge was not working. Ice cream melted, soda was warm.

I really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. They were kind in answering any questions. They even helped us arrange for transferring our luggage to our next hotel. Our hotel room was nice and clean. Smaller than the typical American hotel room, but that was anticipated. Appreciated the amenities and enough outlets to charge all our devices. Water pressure was good! Great building security. Loved the location as it was a few minutes walk to both Tokyo Metro and Okachimachi rail station entrance, and 7-Eleven of course!

For the price it’s ok. I stayed at much cheaper places that were just as nice in the area. The room was very hot and there is no way to crack a window or turn on the AC. I booked this for the high ratings but was a little disappointed. Also the front staff was very stressed and a little rude checking in. The other people were nice later though.

We went to Hakone onsen hotel for 1 night and came back to stay here for our remaining trip in Tokyo. The staff is so nice to arrange our luggage (previously stored at the hotel during our Hakone trip) delivered to our new room directly before we check in. Really appreciate them!

Hotel great, but staff very rude. Right at the checkout time (10am) the staff starts calling to the room to ask when are you leaving and becoming very pushy. As I started bringing down bags to ask for help to store them, the guy at the front desk (didn’t get his name but was on device on Aug 9 in the morning), got annoyed that I wasn’t out already, took my key annoyed that I didn’t bring both and wasn’t checked out. When I mentioned I still needed the key to continue bringing down my bags, he got more annoyed and pretty much threw the key back to me to move faster and get my the things out. The concept of customer service definitely did not exist at this hotel. If it wasn’t for the lady at the front desk things would have gone very bad.

The hotel is so close to JR and other local lines that it only takes around 5 mins to get there. Staff were polite and very helpful and after requesting a high floor was delighted to get the top floor which showed magnificent views of the city. The room was small but comfortable and quiet and very clean. So many restaurants surround the hotel that you are spoilt for choice. We also went to the Ueno Gardens and Zoo which were lovely to visit and the Zoo entry was only 600JY so well worth a good day out! I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Albergo in posizione super strategica in quanto è in una bellissima zona e vicino a tante stazioni della metropolitana. Queste sono le uniche due cose positive, per il resto non lo prenoterei più. Partiamo dalle stanze: si sa che in Giappone sono piccole, ma quella che abbiamo preso noi con tre letti non c’era neanche lo spazio per le valigie. Un bagno a dir poco imbarazzante, non piccolo, minuscolo forse misurava poco meno di 2 mq. La colazione viene fatta in un bar collegato all’albergo, ma che di colazione non ha niente. Non è nè internazionale, nè europea e nè giapponese. Quindi concludendo esperienza positiva solo per la location. Ancora non mi spiego come fanno a scrivere hotel eccezionale!!! Non più di due stelle!!!

ホテル自体は特に不満はありません。強いて言えばWi-Fiが繋がりにくかったこと。問題は朝食。一階のカフェで頂くのですが、30分待ってもコーヒーすら出されなかったのはびっくりです。コーヒーだけでも先に出して欲しいと何度かお願いしたのですが、持ってきてくれませんでした。スタッフの数が少ないのもわかりますが、もう少し手際よく捌けませんか？モーニングに30分以上かかるのはそもそも論外ですよ。

Mycket fräscht och fint hotell. Utmärkt läge nära både Ginza-line och Okachimachi station för Yamanote, även gångavstånd till Ueno. Väldigt trevligt och livfullt (på ett bra sätt) område. Oerhört bred och skön säng. Vi hade rum på 18e våningen med fin utsikt över staden. Renligt och bra service. Frukosten är väl det enda minuset, den var helt okej men lite tradig i längden med ett fåtal bestämda set menu-val. Allt som allt mycket nöjd med vistelsen och rekommenderar hotellet!
