It's clean, quiet and has a good location. It has a shared coffee room at the first floor and no coffee at the rooms. I would prefer coffee at the rooms. The access is not very convenient because of a short steep stair. There is a elevator though, but I think it's for wheelchair access. Parking is very close to the hotel.

This property was good however there is no on site parking. When you arrive you can leave your car infront of the hotel for 15 minutes drop off your stuff and then park. The parking is 1 minute walking distance however driving you must drive around because it’s on a one way street. Parking is $18.00 per day, eveytime you leave you will need to pay. The room sizes are ok the bigger the bed the bigger the room. Breakfast was decent, the excerise room has 3 machines, fairly small. Overall for the price it was good.

Basement room. Felt like a cell block. We booked a non-smoking room, but the ghosts of smokers past were in the walls or carpet. Towels smelled of mould.Definitely was not a good idea to try to save a few bucks by booking here.

Overall, our stay was OK. When I first checked in, I forgot to have my credit card, but the lady at the desk kept my ID, which I thought was weird. The first thing I noticed when we finally made it to the room was the bathroom. There was dried urine and some brown substance dripping off the front of the seat which made me think they didn’t really clean the room that well because you cannot miss it. The room was rather small, but it did its job. The only other issue is the air conditioner. Had a light on that we couldn’t turn off at night so the room was very bright when we were trying to sleep. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast was nice, but just upset about the bathroom because it made me think the rest of the room was not thoroughly cleaned.

My family of 4 stayed at this hotel, there were no furniture in the room. We had to put our belongings on the floor which was an inconvenience. Two people could not sleep comfortably on their beds. We were surprised when we walked into room that there was no furniture. I would not stay there again.

The room was small and temp was set at 62 when we arrived, but it didn’t take too long to warm up. The breakfast was just ok, price was very reasonable and the place was clean with easy and inexpensive parking. However, the walls were not at all soundproof and we were woken up by screaming in the middle of the night which was jarring.

The hotel is good overall very good location but unfortunately I had a bad experience with the staff I lost my phone in the lobby which is very small, about the size of a living room. The hotel staff was not helpful at all; they refused to check the cameras, claiming they were not working, and also they told me that the person who has access to the cameras was not available. So I was left confused, unsure if the camera was out of service or if the person responsible for them simply wasn't there.

We stayed with two little kids, and were happy to be close to the metro and restaurants. Very clean and practical room and breakfast. The only major complaint we had is that after a full day of visiting Montreal, we came back to discover our room door was left wide open after housekeeping passed. When we alerted the reception, they seemed unconcerned! Obviously they don’t value their customers privacy and the safety of their belongings!

The hotel itself was nice and clean. However, we had 2 rooms reserved, and 1 room had non- working air-conditioner and no shower door. We did multiple calls and in-person conversation to the staff and front desk, but there was no resolution given. They originally said that they were going to transfer us to a new room but there was no follow up, even after calling in the evening before sleeping as well.

The staff is exceptionally helpful. I also love the location - very close to Berri-UQAM Metro station, which is a bit of a hub to take you wherever you may want to go. The room size is small but as a solo traveler, I found it perfect for me. I’ll always stay here when I’m in Montreal.

Decent value and good location for visiting Montreal. Next to Berri-UQAM metro station and Gare d'autocars for easy transportation. The hotel is walking and biking distance to Le Plateau, Rue Saint-Denis, Quartier des Spectacles, and Old Montreal. The building is old and the rooms are not well soundproofed. The interior was a bit too dark for my preference. While the hotel has free breakfast which is edible, there are much tastier food options at the many cafes and restaurants nearby. The surrounding one block radius might seem a bit sketchy at night.

Great location for exploring Montreal. Easy access to Metro and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean with comfortable beds. It was really hot during our stay but the AC worked really well. Continental breakfast was good. I would stay there again.

The hotel was in a great location for sightseeing and moving about the city, using the METRO. The surrounding area, and closest streets had pockets of people living on the street, hanging outside store fronts, tents set up; daily truck stop providing meals to those in need. We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. First impressions on arrival were not great. The area around the hotel is very run down and access to the hotel was up a small flight of steps. The receptionist was not the most helpful and did just enough to check us in. However for the remainder of the stay the staff were more friendly and helpful. Once inside the hotel the rooms although small were clean and pleasantly decorated. Breakfast was good, with a variety of options including omelettes. Wooden cutlery and paper plates seem to be popular in many of the budget hotels including this one. Location wise it was good for restaurants and the metro.

PROS: The shared areas and rooms are very clean! Paid parking-lot is down the block $18 a day. Free Breakfast - basic, repetitive but enough to hold you til lunch. Check in 3pm our noon! Perfect times Coffee &water available in lobby all day! Within 20-30 minutes of where we wanted to go. CONS: Walls & floors are thin! Our roon in 209 could hear the pipes every time it was flushed upstairs or next door. It was horribly loud the "stomps". We complained twice but it didn't stop. Staff is polite but nothing extra. Reception never greeted us besides check in day. No eye contact or even a smle. Weird! The street is full of other small hotels and is underconstruction. Transients lobbying around. Shower doesn't have a sliding dor or curtain. Water gets everywhere! Total mess even toilet top gets wet. This is my honest review based on 4day/ 3night experience for a family of 3.
