Perfect location to walk to key sites, quiet at night for sleeping. Many cafes nearby. Bed was comfortable, AC worked well. Very quaint building, friendly staff. Free coffee was a bonus, and nice to have shared lounges for extra space.

The Hunfeld is a great hotel in the heart of Utrecht. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and transportation. Room size is adequate and chrome-casting is available on the TV. Staff are friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t look elsewhere in Utrecht.

Wonderful location in Utrecht. Easy to get to from the train station, lots of shops, restaurants & bars as well. We came to see a show at the TivoliVredenburg- it was close by. Not many amenities but a nice place to stay.

Leider „vergaß” man unser Frühstück (trotz Frage am Vortag bei CheckIn, um wieviel Uhr ungefähr wir es einnehmen wollten) und man „vergaß” auch den Reinigungsservice, obwohl wir ihn extra beim Verlassen des Raums bei der Rezeption angemeldet hatten. Auch sonst ist der Service schwach (Rezeption selten besetzt, keine Anruf-Möglichkeit der Rezeption dem Zimmer, keine Minibar, kein Roomservice). Daher fällt das Fazit gemischt aus.

Centrally located in the walkable town of Utrecht, close to many dining options. Clean and comfortable rooms, we had a beautiful room overlooking the square, the big picture window framing the lit up tree was gorgeous. Handy tea room on level 1 to make a complimentary tea or coffee was a nice touch.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hunfeld. The hotel was located 10 minutes walk from the central train station of Utrecht. It was right in the heart of things in there Utrect with restaurants and bars right outside your door and a 5 to 6 minute walk to all the major attractions and canals. There was a lounge that was accessible with coffee and tea and hot chocolate all day long. It was nice to have another spot to go and read a book or get some work done. The staff were all very friendly and very helpful. I can’t think of anything negative about this hotel. There was also a very good elevator, which is hard to find sometimes in the Netherlands. The shower was very good, which is always a plus.

Stay was great. There is a slight sewer smell throughout the lobby area, taking away from an otherwise good impression. Breakfast was so-so, very dry, pebbly eggs. Bacon was small bits.

Fantastic location. Even though my room faced the street there was absolutely no noise through the windows. Room was very plush. Option to not have your room cleaned everyday which is very enviro sensible. Staff delightful. Coffee machine in the room was a bonus! On first night there was a slight smell in the room from the drain but what do you expect given your historic location. You don’t notice it after a short time. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and recommend it to anyone for a short stay in the amazing Utrecht!!

Our room at the Hunfeld was clean, spacious and in the perfect location for sightseeing in Utrecht. The staff were super friendly and helpful, especially when I got food poisoning and needed some TLC. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Utrecht.

Hotel was in a perfect location for shops and restaurants and only a short walk from the train station. Staff were extremely friendly and the booking in/out process easy. Room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable. Shampoo and body wash supplied as well as a good hairdryer. Was not keen on the room coffee, but took my own so wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay again.

Das Hotel hält leider nicht ganz, was es verspricht. Das Frühstück muss praktisch vorbestellt werden. Die Bedienung beim Frühstück ist ok, mehr auch nicht. Das ganze Hotel riecht etwas nach Kanalisation und mein Zimmer hatte kein Fester, welches man öffnen konnte. Das Housekeeping lässt einfach schmutzige Tassen stehen.

Close to the train station and all shops, restaurants, etc. We loved the area. The layout of the hotel, with a lounge on each floor, was good. The room was small, which one wouldn’t have noticed as much if there had been a few shelves and hooks installed in the entrance area of the room. Then the clutter wouldn’t have been concentrated in the sleeping area. And we would have used the lounge area for, you know, lounging, relaxing, computer time, etc., but the piped-in sound was too loud, and sooo not to our taste. And it started early in the morning! I did complain about this, and one day it ceased for a while. Such a relief. I realize the place is going for a cool vibe, but peace and quiet is what most travellers need when they’re been on the move all day or are getting their day started.

Our room in the Hunfeld was comfortable and nicely equipped. Plenty of room to unpack and store our clothes. The bed was very comfortable as well. We liked the room layout with the separate toilet area and sink and shower in the room. The shower was generously sized for a European bathroom. The location is excellent for sightseeing, shopping and dining. Everything is easily walkable from the hotel and the walk to the train station was also easy even with suitcases.

Honestly didn’t expect much considering it’s right in the city and I just needed to stay one night. But it was super convenient to parking garage and station. Next to the Dom! Right in the middle of everything you want to see in Utrecht. And surprisingly while my room was facing a usually busy street, it was quiet in the room! Was so happy with that. I felt it was spacious enough for me (although if you’re with other people having the toilet right there and the sink is in the room, I would upgrade for a larger room). Staff were amazing and kind. Hotel is just beautiful, I did not find any flaws.

What a treat it was to stay here for a few days while exploring Utrecht. 10 minute walk from Utrecht Centraal. Super friendly and helpful staff, and a large, comfortable room. Located 5 minutes from the Dom Tower in a pedestrian zone, the whole area is very walkable. Highly recommended!

The location of this cute boutique hotel was PRIME! We could walk to every destination we wanted to in Utrecht. The room was comfortable, including the beds and the shower!

The Hunfeld is a great hotel in the heart of Utrecht. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping and transportation. Room size is adequate and chrome-casting is available on the TV. Staff are friendly and helpful. We wouldn’t look elsewhere in Utrecht.

Amazing location right by the action but also the train station! It was so lively outside but somehow quiet inside. It was the perfect base for a trip to the Netherlands.

Wonderful location in Utrecht. Easy to get to from the train station, lots of shops, restaurants & bars as well. We came to see a show at the TivoliVredenburg- it was close by. Not many amenities but a nice place to stay.

The Hunfeld is very well situated being near the centre of old Utrecht and within easy walking distance of the station. It has quite an arty feel about it and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only downsides: would have preferred not to have had the washbasin within the bedroom and for the price I would have expected things like tissues to be available in the room. Although I liked the breakfast tray, I would have preferred to have had fresh coffee available at breakfast rather than having to get it from a machine. Fresh milk was available but we had to ask for it.

Excellent hotel in the city center of Utrecht. Walking distance to the canals. Nice town square in front of the hotel with several bars and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and the rooms very nice. The shower was perfect!

Instead of a buffet with a good selection of dishes, the staff bring out a tray of their choice of offerings that were below the pevel of quality I associayte with most Dutch hotels. And only one kind of jam was available, which is genuinely disappointing.

Great small hotel in the centre of Utrecht. Overall, a pleasant stay. I liked the Marshall sound system in the room and the separate toilet/shower/wash basin. Smart! The breakfast was good but not very sustainable as the food offered on a ready-made tray was a bit overwhelming. I couldn’t eat it all and I am a grown-up man! I saw left trays where more than half of the goodies were untouched… A bit of a shame as the quality of the offered food was great!

Stay was great. There is a slight sewer smell throughout the lobby area, taking away from an otherwise good impression. Breakfast was so-so, very dry, pebbly eggs. Bacon was small bits.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt bei "The Hunfeld" in Utrecht sehr genossen. Das Zimmer war wunderschön und sehr sauber, mit einem perfekten Blick auf den Utrechter Dom! Das Personal war zu jeder Zeit erreichbar und extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend. Auch das Frühstück war reichhaltig und hielt vegetarische und vegan Optionen vor, die keine Wünsche übrig ließen! Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort einchecken, um das wunderschöne Utrecht zu besuchen.

Great stylish and cozy hotel in a fantastic and convenient location. Service was helpful, attentive and friendly. Rooms have amazing windows. Breakfasts were wonderful and certainly worth having. This is my second stay at the Hunfeld, and I look forward to staying there again!

Our stay at the Hunfeld was very pleasant and calm. We couldn’t have hoped for a better location, it’s perfect for being able to explore the city centre without having to use public transport at all. We also got an upgrade to a slightly bigger room, which was a nice surprise! The room and common spaces were clean and cozy and all staff members were friendly! The toiletries smelled amazing and they were a nice touch in the shower to make it feel more luxurious, despite the shower itself being quite small and the shower floor was a bit moldy, which is understandable though in the humid and hot season. All together the Hunfeld exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to visit again some time!
