Candlewood Suites DFW West - Hurst by IHG

Great hotel. Quiet and friendly staff.

Kitchen was not the issue. The room smelled stale and musty. Thanks to Chris who provided us with air spray, it was tolerable. The shower drains were improperly installed and the remedy was to glue rubber diverter strips at the edge of the shower and across the door into the bathroom. Obvious trip hazards, particularly during the night trips to the bathroom. The water collected in one corner of the shower next to the diverter strip. The corner is lower than the drain and, since water doesn’t run uphill, I think it probably ended up seeping under the wall where it most likely is going to grow mold. The best thing about the stay was Chris, the front desk clerk, who was attentive and very helpful the entire time.

Found trash in closet from previous person who stayed there.

It was very nice

The amenities are good and it is nice to have a kitchen.
