Had to park across the street in an overflow parking lot that wasn’t monitored or no cameras. 10 vehicles were broken into. We got no response from management. We had to pay out of pocket for the replacement of our window. Told they were working for a refund but as of 6/27 it hasn’t happened. Occurred on 6/6/25 Parking is horrendous. Not enough parking for guests

This quaint and cozy hotel was a delight! The complimentary bikes made it easy to explore nearby shops and restaurants. However, the on-site restaurant was always understaffed, leading to long waits. Despite this, the staff remained friendly and attentive. A lovely stay—just plan dining accordingly! There was also construction zone outside of hotel, which created some tight driving conditions.

Everything about our stay at the Canopy was great with exception that the fitness center very small and ill-equipped. For a hotel like the Canopy and the location on the wealthier side of Charlotte I expected a bigger space and broader range of equipment.

We stayed here for a staycation/date night-we live in Charlotte. If we had been staying for something other than that or with our kids, I would have asked for a new room. The carpet was filthy, the chaise in the room had a giant stain on it and we had to ask for new sheets because there were stains all over them. I should mention there was a guest asking for a new room because his was dirty when we asked for the sheets from the front desk. The light switches in our room did not work properly. We had gone to dinner and brought drinks and some dessert but the fridge was in a drawer and it was not working so we just skipped using it. For one quick night, it was fine-the rooms are in rough shape for being a newer hotel in Southpark. The common areas in the lobby looked nice enough but we didn’t get up close and we did not try any of the dining options. They have some goofy water bottle for spring water in your room that looks cute but doesn’t fit under the water dispenser where you are supposed to fill it. We could also hear every door close, people showering, the ice machine outside our door. The hotel could be cute but they need a major overhaul of the rooms.

Loved the atmosphere and the vibe when walking through the front door - smelled amazing! Front desk help was attentive. Server at the in house restaurant was great. The room was very nice. I flagged down a housekeeping gal the morning after we checked in as the kleenex with the cover on in the bathroom was damp and smelled moldy/musty. Looked like it had gotten water in it and sat for some time. There was even mold starting under the box. I threw the old one in the garbage. Also - when we got to the room the shampoo was missing out of the shower. I did not report that as I had brought my own shampoo. Had to wipe down some in the bathroom - mainly on the door and under the hand soap.

I had an incident my first night I stayed at the hotel. The sliding door in the room fell on me while I tried to close it. The bed is very soft making it uncomfortable for me with back problems, there was hair in the shower and the toilet paper was not replaced from the last guest. The staff were helpful and polite though.

The room was amazing and the staff was nice. The only problems we had with this property is the parking and how we could hear everything going on in the next room. They were smoking and we could smell it so loudly in our room and we had a 4 year old with us. They put us in a adjoining room so that's why we heard everything but I have been in adjoining rooms before and never heard people on the other side so that was quite annoying.

Excellent location, quiet- parking could use somw improvement. Not enough spots especially after hours. Yes, there's an additional parking garage across the street but not a great option for fenales traveling alone at night or elderly. No microwave in room, had to come downstairs to use a community microwave. Carpeting in room had stains. Noise level from our room was a bit much (ice machine, doors slamming, noisy guest at elevator) Room #411 Someone set the alarm for 6:30am on Sunday on the alarm clock. No fun to wake to after a late night. Did like the hand santizer stations throughout the facility.

Amazing building, area, lobby, staff, rooms super comfy. Really liked the layout and big bathroom/dressing area that can close off as I was staying with my mom and brother so we’d have privacy when needed. Big floor to ceiling windows made the room feel bigger - great beds, pillows and sheets. Only complaint was I like my rooms COLD. And regardless of keeping it set on 65 it would fluctuate between 66 and 70 for no reason regardless of the fan setting. Also no fridge/mini fridge was weird - had a “cooler drawer” that you could put ice in but then it would have to be refilled often and would leak on the floor. Possibly just that one in the room wasn’t sealed properly but it was fine for a weekend. Complementary coffee in the lobby was 10/10! Staff was incredibly warm and friendly each time we came and went and the area is top notch. So close to everything in SouthPark but in a quiet area with a nice permanent living buildings and a giant dog park across the way. Had a great time and this is now my new spot for weekends in charlotte :)

Not an honorable Hilton Honors experience. The only reason this is a 2 star review and not a 1 is because I like the location, room and the hotel but the comfort level is terrible. At no time should a hotel dictate what a paying guest’s room temperature setting is. All guests are not the same. Some of us prefer a much cooler room while sleeping. No matter what you set it to, the room temp never goes lower than 72 degrees. You can’t even adjust the fan speed. Low, medium and high are all the same. They sent a “technician” to my room to check it. All he said was “This is one of those newer systems that sense movement.” And “It’s gonna take a while to cool down.” I had already been in the room for 5 hours. Then, unbelievably, he said “I can bring you a fan to help if you like.” Seriously?? At the price point you charge, issues with room temperature should never be a concern. And a fan?? Really?? At no time did he mention that the the building is set to go no lower than 72. I only found that out by reading several reviews on here and by confirming with the front desk. Why even have a normal thermostat that can be set in the room?! Even the cheapest of hotels have cold blowing AC and it can be controlled by the guest. The room is never crisp. I even woke up several times (can’t sleep when the room isn’t cool) and noticed the room temp was 77 degrees. ( See pic). I’ve stayed in many hotels around the world in my life but this hotel controlled AC is a first. My last stay.

No valet was a bummer. Parking sucked until we found another guest who could give us details to the second ramp. Staff overall needs to be more knowledgeable. We asked if there was room service and the response was I dont know. We asked another staff about the restaurant hours and response was 'i think we are open till 10pm'.

We have visited this property 8 times over the past 4 years. This visit we experienced a non functioning fridge drawer and was only offered ice to solve the problem. We asked for bathroom towels since we didn’t receive cleaning services and were told housekeeping would deliver to our room. This did not happen. The next day we asked for our room to be cleaned and were told “no problem”. When we returned at the end of the day nothing was done and only offered two towels, no wash cloths. Definitely looking for a new location since we visit a couple times every year.

Poor customer service. The c02 detector went off at 2am, causing us to be awoken out of are slumber. Called down to the front desk, she cut the power to the ac. So we had to sleep in a hot room. The next morning no updates, left out and came back to the decor still not working. The front desk guy was an a hole rude, and completely dismissive. If it wasn't for the maintenance worker, he wouldn't have any switched our rooms. When asked to comp for the inconvenience they did nothing. Not to mention the parking sucks, and the fridge didn't open. They claim to be a 4 star hotel, I don't see how. 2/10 wouldn't recommend.

We’ve stayed here before and liked it. There is very early am construction next door and it’s loud. They also lost their parking lot privileges in the big garage and we parked in a small attached garage. We would stay again because everything is near and walkable.

The Canopy Hotel was exquisite in interior design. The amenities provided were excellent. The onsite restaurant - Fine & Fettle had delicious, convenient breakfast options. I appreciated the availability of filtered water in glass jars to fill during my stay. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful but sometimes difficult to reach in person after peak hours. Without a bell or any indicator to inform the front desk, we were left standing and waiting for service. The parking garage is atrocious! It was a poorly designed and difficult to navigate for a mid sized SUV or larger. If you get to the end of the garage and do not find a suitable space to park, getting out required backing out of the garage fully through 3 sharp sections or doing a 20 point turn to about face the vehicle - and it cost $10 daily to use the facility. Room service came and made the bed daily if my do not disturb sign was not out and brought fresh towels, however, no clean cups were provided for the water or espresso and the espresso pods were only refilled on my refresh before my last night. The property location was close to shopping and restaurants and walkable and in a fantastic area. Overall, the stay was good and I would stay here again.

The breakfast at this place is amazing, You have to pay but if you get the breakfast vouchers it covers a bit of your meal, but the food is so good it was worth. I can be a stickler for having to pay for things, especially hotel food. But man oh man this breakfast was top notch. The hotel is nice and rooms are pretty. Beds are very soft and are in need of being replaced. A lot of construction next door but wasn’t bothered by it once your inside hotel. Parking is tight. They have a coffee shop that had great coffee but was out of half and half every morning. We only got to eat breakfast and it was great. However, dinner menu at their restaurant was minimal. They claimed they were waiting on a truck for all their food so that was disappointing as the menu looked great. Beautiful area and lots of great restaurants.

The facility was very nice, clean and staff was great! The only thing was not great was that i paid for breakfast for the four adults (2 rooms) thinking it would be an a la carte type breakfast - unfortunately, we only had one choice from the menu which was not something we eat and drinks were not included. So i paid for breakfast for 4 adults/2 days but we didn't use the vouchers at all. A waste of our money!!

I liked the property's proximity to shopping and other food venues. The area was walkable and I felt safe walking to places outside of the hotel. We ate breakfast at the hotel's restaurant and although there was limited staff due to the Christmas holidays, everyone was very accommodating and friendly and the food was very good. We did not get our room cleaned the 3-day stay, even after requesting a cleaning. All in all, the room was well-appointed and comfortable.
