This is definitely a no-frills hotel but for its price was perfect, especially as a solo traveler. Had I not been solo traveling the room might have been a little small, especially the bathroom, but for just me it was a perfect home base for traveling around Tokyo and to surrounding areas. The bed was bigger than I expected, the view from the hotel was great, and the neighborhood was a perfect, quiet rest from the busy-ness of the rest of Tokyo. It’s close enough for some quiet morning walks to Senso-ji which was magical. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the train stations which I was a bit worried about at first, but really wasn’t bad when you actually did it. The walk to and from the train station was very pleasant, with great views of the Sumida river and Tokyo Skytree. The closest train station was on the Asakusa line which had a lot of very convenient stops, and was also near a Ginza line station which took you to places like Shibuya. There were lots of great restaurants and cafes nearby too. The Asakusa area is also really easy to get to from NRT and to the Ueno station for the Shinkansens. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for solo travelers, couples, friends or families I’d be a bit more hesitant towards however, at least for the room I was in.
