TRYP Adelaide by Wyndham

We had a fabulous stay at Tryp by Wyndnam, facilities were excellent, the breakie was delicious, the bed was very comfy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Close to restaurants and shops, and an easy half hour walk to Adelaide Oval . The only down side was the hotel didn't have it's own car parking facilities, but we were very lucky we managed to get parking in the surrounding streets. We stayed over a weekend, it could be different during the week. We would definitely come back.

Eines der besten Hotels, in denen ich seit langem übernachtet habe. Bequeme Betten, Zimmerreinigung nur auf Wunsch, große, moderne und schallisolierte Zimmer, es gibt 2 Waschmaschinen & Trockner und die Lage ist einfach fabelhaft. Zusätzlich fast jeden Abend ein Themenabend in der Bar/Restaurant im 1. Stock und ein Fitnessstudio ist ebenfalls vorhanden. Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

The staff and friendly and helpful. The lifts in the hotel and are nice and quick. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Rundle Mall, the main shopping area in the CBD, which is convenient.

Hotel in very good position, very walkable. Safe and clean area. Hotel very clean & modern, with bar and restaurant. Very handy with a self laundry on floor 10 & 4. Library on floor 6.

Hotel has modern rooms, good restaurant down stairs and in the area. Car parking if off site and a 2.5 block walk.

Nice modern hotel rooms clean and well decorated. Decent gym and laundry services. Great food in the cafe. Good location.

Parking facility too far away and not secure enough for my personal liking. Hotel was great. Couldn’t ask for anymore.

Tryp Adelaide is all about the look. Foyer looks great. BUT if you want your room serviced you have to ask. No toaster. No biscuits. Not even a toilet brush! The guest laundry on level 10 next to our room sounded like a jackhammer. It was in use at 11pm and 6am. Required calls to the desk to turn it off. In all ...it looks cool but you get so much better elsewhere.

Very surprised for the price. Accommodation was excellent. Clean, easy access lifts. Reception check-in easy. Also found the heating cooling vent blowing in the wrong direction at bed so by morning woke up very dry. Only downside is parking as need to park off-site at a cost of $25 per day

When we arrived the room was very clean. Dismayed to discover no room cleaning unless you paid for it during our 4 night stay. No mini bar available, no plates nor cutlery. We wanted cheese and biccys one night and had to visit the restaurant to borrow a knife and plate. To replenish the coffee, milk ect we had to request it Staff attitudes varied depending on who you got. Breakfast was cold.

Disappointed there is no daily housekeeping unless requested. Reception staff are often not at the desk and have to wait for them to appear once they spot you on the cctv. Breakfast was a little disappointing. No descriptions of what any of the hot food is

Spacious room & bathroom. Very comfy bed. Chairs need a good vacumn tho, there were crumbs in the crevices. No housekeeping. No room slippers. Shower water pressure can be improve. Service excellent.

Dusty and noisey and the staff call you buddy or mate .... yep, nah avoid ! As somebody that stays over 100 nights a year in hotels this place was the pits. We had a an aircon problem for 5 straight days and all I got from the duty manager was we are booked mate we will get to it next week (Friday night) come Monday still the same problem eventually moved but the manager calling me mate after 5 days was disrespectful. The cleaning as third world and the 2 weeks we staid not a single vacuum was used in our rooms. The dust levels absolutely disgusting, cups and plates were left ouside or rooms after food had been taken to the rooms for 5 days, quite often food bags would be there 24hrs. Too many bad hotels in Adelaide and this tops them but it's only a year old ...

Ok location. About 10 minute walk to city centre and the same for central market. We stayed 3 nights and the cleaners didnt even clean our room once. Even when we asked for clean towels, they were left on the bed and our old towels were left on the floor in the bathroom. Overall, its a nice, clean hotel and would stay there again.

Room cleaning happened only on the second day but no replacement of towels, did not wash cups and spoons and bed hardly made. The third day, it was better cleaned but still did not wash cups and spoons. AC instructions are in French!

A few cleaning issues in the room but it was good especially for the price

This is an overpriced hotel. We had booked for 7 nights but we’re only provided with 1 face washer (there were 2 of us), no hand towels, empty shampoo dispenser etc. Room was none to clean on arrival and no cleaning service was available unless an additional $20 was paid. Hence no restocking of tea bags, toilet paper, bin emptying, wiping over surfaces etc. Room was very hot, air conditioner was blowing on our faces all night and seemed to be turned off altogether during the day. We will never stay there again!

A German cockroach (corton bug) was sitting on the Tissue Box in the bathroow.

Quiet, modern, walking distance to city. Good option when gotten for right price. Climate control hard to get right, either too hot or too cold. Shower temp was good but pressure wasn’t great. Parking elsewhere, we used the public open air park on the nearest street corner, convenient. Would stay again

Clean room, welcoming staff, very comfortable bed and quiet. Unfortunately the room lacked storage and the bathroom lighting wasn’t great.

Mattresses too soft, woke every morning with backaches. Room service is only by request. Room was spacious enough with an excellent bathroom, above average large shower with regular shower head as well as rain shower. It's the little things that make the difference, for better or worse.

It was ‘ok’. Good location in the CBD and everywhere was walkable. Room was fine, good walk-in shower, decent size bedroom. There’s a tiny self-serve laundry which was useful and a dark little room with a printer (hardly a business centre, but helpful). But frustrations included the really quite loud music that blares in the corridors outside the bedrooms (with no seeming pattern, on/off at different times) late into the night or starting at about 6. This woke me up twice - not what I wanted after 21 hours on planes. I complained, no one had any what the policy was, it seemed to be turned off, then next morning it was back at 6.15am. I complained again - but it was soon back, and I just had to live with it. Irritating and intrusive. Hotels shouldn’t do stuff that interferes with guests’ basic needs like sleep and loud musak in empty corridors for the purpose of creating a vibe doesn’t outweigh that priority? Room service I tried once - hard to find in the app and with a pretty limited menu. Ordered a salad. Nothing arrived so after 45 minutes I rang to discover they couldn’t do a salad. I might never have found out. They offered some kind of chicken pastry slice - which I had to accept and was grim. Food in the restaurant is Mexican and that’s it. If you don’t like Mexican - I don’t - there are no other options (most nights). I should have checked. There’s a good Greek takeaway next door - go there.

The room was spacious, clean (although you need to ask for room cleaning and even hand towels); linen clean and comfortable, the king bed is actually 2 twins put together & may create a gap. Breakfast was the same every day (scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, etc) but was ok. Location is great; walking distance to everything in CBD.

Great hotel in great position, easy to get to every part of the city. The Deluxe corner room was modern & large with views of Adelaide hills. There is a large selection of tv channels including all Foxtel channels & Chromecast to stream own apps. I will definitely be staying there again on my next Adelaide visit.

Nice hotel with great amenities EXCEPT the lighting is terrible. Sconce lighting on the bed was so dim and distant that reading in bed was impossible unless you left the bright overhead lights on. Sconce lighting for the bathroom mirror was one dim bulb on the right side leaving the right side of your face in light too dim to see, and the left side in full shadow. Unusable for shaving or makeup. Lighting designed by an idiot. Free laundry is a nice touch. Lighting CONTROLS were good, just the chosen fixtures made it useless.

We did get a good deal however and had a pleasant stay.

Amazing front desk staff. Very patient and had all the answers. I can't rate them high enough. Nice spacious room with top amenities. Nicely located for public transport and dining options. Would recommend without hesitation.

I’m a return customer, regularly staying here when in Adelaide for work. The staff are consistently friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to Constance who remembered me saying in passing when I came back late one night how I like a memory foam pillow and when I returned the next day I had one waiting for me on the bed! It’s this kind of customer service, coupled with the high standard of cleanliness that keep me coming back.

We were disappointed in the staff response to our issues.

Excellent location was close to the hospital we wherw visiting and not too far to walk to the city centre. Staff where friendly and helpful just stretched too thin. Was a little annoying having to constantly wait at reception due to staff having to serve elsewhere. Tried to order room service a few times and quitw often it was cancelled due to being sold out. Room and hotel was absolutely beautiful and Breakfast was great value.

Very unimpressed with customer service around bed requirements. Stating twin beds is misleading and then continued to stuff up from there.

Safe, quiet, clean, and plenty of places to dine out nearby

Reception staff were smiling and happy to help! Arrived early to drop off bags as parking is hard to find, no problem. Room was ready early, Thank you. Comfy bed, great size room. Close to restaurants, bars, Museum, and the Calvary Hospital. We will revisit the Tryp Adelaide. Cheers

Very convenient location

Stayed here as it’s directly opposite Calvary Adelaide hospital. Found it’s an easy walk to the Central Market, Rundle Mall etc and there is a good mix of restaurants nearby. Very clean and quiet too. Great Breakfast.

Love this hotel so much. Very comfortable & modern. Easy to park a car on the street behind the hotel at night for free …I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. It’s brilliant. Staff are excellent

Tryp is a short walk from Rundle Mall, a bus stops right out the front of the hotel that goes to mt barker..Tryp by wyndham is right across the road from the Calvery hosptial, the room retained its heat so we didnt need to have to hewt going at night as the room stayed warm. The staff a friendly and check in and check out was super fast and easy.

Great location. 5mins walk to China town

First time staying at this hotel and I was impressed by the front desk staff checkin process and the rooms. Rooms size and facilities excellent with the bathroom very high quality and spacious. The location is the only question mark as it’s a little removed from Adelaide’s main attractions and shopping area. The service at Mamacitas (restaurant) was a little chaotic and the unscheduled arrival of a bug on my breakfast plate unfortunate.

Really good value for money. My second time here. Rooms small but comfortable. Restaurant used to be great with good breakfast menu. Now a tired buffet. Head to greek bakery next door instead...

Great little property Amazing tacos and spicey margs.

I booked an executive king suite for my recent stay and found the room to be excellent. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you need for a great stay. My only criticism with this hotel is the breakfast service which is poor. Found the hot food to be mostly luke warm at best, coffee machine produces dreadful coffee, and too few staff on the weekend made the service slow. If the hotel could fix this, the hotel would become a hidden gem for stays in Adelaide
