Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbus New Albany

We were in town for a weekend visit with our daughter. The hotel was in a great location, easy to get to with lots of food and shopping choices. It was really clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was pretty good. It had a nice gym and pool as well, including a small hot tub. We will definitely be staying here again next time we’re in town.

Our stay was fine. Standard room, beds were ok. We had to wait for our water to heat up but it wasn’t a big deal. The pool was small but the hot tub was a nice add. Breakfast was good. The service was friendly and good. Overall I was satisfied with our stay but not thrilled.

Really clean nice hotel. Our only complaint was the pool was closed. Our daughter was excited to swim but it was closed for maintenance or something. I read similar reviews from people months ago complaining about the pool being closed as well so I don’t know if they are fixing it or what. Would stay again other than that minor complaint.

The only issue i had was they had a excellent gym but only 1 of the four treadmills were working

Whirlpool not working. I saw in previous posts it wasn't working..was hoping they would get it fixed. Not the case.

Staff are extremely friendly and breakfast is really good. One elevator was out of service multiple days so that was inconvenient at times.

Hot tub wad broke and that was honestly the only reason why i came. The pool is a baby pool. Breakfast was good. But i m really upset that hot tub was broke for as much as that hotel cost everything should be working and in running condition.

Nice and clean and the food was good, the pool didn’t really seem clean at all and the Jacuzzi seemed the same way, and I believe the jets weren’t working.

I booked this specifically because they had a hot tub. I like to use them as a treat when traveling. Guess what was broken the whole time? The hot tub. I told management that I paid much more for a three days stay here than I could have just for the hot tub...and they apologized but did nothing. No discount either.

Nice hotel. Nice breakfast. Our room, 202 has water damage to the ceiling. Too many dogs on the property. Elevator smells like wet dog. Pool was cloudy. Staff were all nice and attentive

Front desk staff very nice and respectful, have to request fresh towels day two otherwise we would have been with the same towels for four days/three nights. Trash running over in rm, have to flag down house keepers to empty both cans. Very, very poor house keeping service.

Our bathroom ceiling was yellow with water stains and there was Drywall cut and mud all over the place. They never gave us fresh linens or towels and never took out the trash. We had to do it in our own.

Clean

The hotel is clean and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was great to have too.

Jacob was super nice and accommodating. Everything was clean and nice. We went to put our food in the refrigerator and it had leftovers from someone else. I also noticed the smoke detector was missing. Otherwise it was a great stay!.

It is nicely updated and appointed The room was comfortable and clean and the hallways and common areas are kept spotless. The price is reasonable for this level of accomodation. Satisfied with the stay as always with Marriot.

Evening staff (older woman) was not the friendliest. The gentleman working that night we checked in was nice and so was the morning staff. The bed was super uncomfortable and killed my back. The hot water for the shower WOULD NOT get warm at all! Was very clean but over all wouldn’t stay again.

Rooms were clean. Linens and bed were very confortable. Roomy bathroom with nice shower. Excellent breakfast.

Nice hotel updated only issue was that only had Luke warm water for showers. Told front desk they were unaware but would pass it on to maintenance.

I have been trying to have my security deposit refunded to my credit card for over a month with no responses from the Marriot team for 3 weeks. I have sent 3 emails with no replies and the charge is still on my credit card

Staff very welcoming.

It was horrible. I worked 12 hours and just wanted to check into my room take a shower and chill out. However, I got to the desk to check in and had my hotel.com confirmation number and they told me they had no reservation under my name. I showed them the receipt and confirmation email and they continued to argue with me. My wife called hotels.com and they forwarded the confirmation over to them. Once they finally received it I had been standing downstairs 47 minutes waiting. It was UNACCEPTABLE and RUDE. HOTELS.com said they would reimburse me but nothing has happened yet. I’m not holding my breath.

Overall comfortable stay during a snowstorm. Friendly guest service.

My main issue was I paid for handicap I have mobility issues and my room was given away had no slip resistance mat in the shower no bars to hold onto slipped in the shower and hurt my back it was hard to sleep because people were slamming their doors all night And when I went to get my car this morning someone had parked right on top of my car in a black truck and hit my car with their door scratching the entire side and when I said something to the guy at the front desk I was told there’s nothing he can do about any of the issues that I had the entire time I was there and gave me a phone number to make a police report about my car and it wasn’t even the right number. I’m not from Westerville, Ohio , all I could do is take pictures of how the cars were parked and the plate number And try to file a police report once I got back to Cincinnati I was given no help I asked for a manager not a manager to speak to I was handed a card and told that I could email somebody and I wanted to talk to somebody in person I don’t talk to somebody through an email experience was not good because I was treated as my needs that I specified when I booked my room was not taken into consideration. It was not worth almost $200. My daughter got 15 minutes in the pool and couldn’t even move around because there was so many people in there was not even trying to give her any room. She didn’t even get the time that she had there and we barely slept and the breakfast tasted like it had boiled in a bag

It was close to Outpatient center we needed. Shopping center and restaurants across the street.

We were in town to see my parents. The hotel has a great location, close to several stores and restaurants, and easy access to new Albany, gahanna, and Westerville. The room was comfortable and did the trick.

Very clean, beds were ok not my best sleep. Food in lobby was very expensive. Water cost was almost $3.00 a bottle. Breakfast was ok

Breakfast options were good but food was luke warm everyday. Either put less food out or turn up heat on warmers. Otherwise room was clean and property is kept up. Exercise room also had good selection of equipment.

Property very clean and close to a number of dining and shopping options. Some of the breakfast dishes could be warmer. Tasted fine but not as hot as I prefer.
