The internet was sparatic unless you were willing to pay an unreasonable fee for an upgrade. The microwave had to be repaired twice and on my checkout day the lone elevator was not working and although I have a medical condition I had to carry my heavy luggage down the stairs with great difficulty. They need to do room housekeeping more than once every 2 weeks. One employee says I will receive a refund for returning the key cards at checkout, another tells me they don't do refunds.

Common areas and hallways not very clean. Front desk not staffed after 4p and you had to be in the hotel for the night by 9:45p or you had to call via a phone to gain entrance to hotel at a $10 charge. Traveling with a pet who may need to go outside later in the evening, this situation was less than ideal. On the positive side, easy to find, close to restaurants and pretty quiet.

The rooms are updated clean did not see one bug, the staff was always helpful, Sue the GM especially was very helpful for me and my family. Always Clean Laundry was over priced in my opinion ($6.25 1 wash 1 dry) Stayed 2/29/24 to 7/28/24 We will return one day. After checking out I figured I would stay at Woodspring 295 in Jax FL... My companion and I really enjoyed the family setting of the hotel. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We felt safe. We loved that dogs were not just allowed but greeted with open arms. Not only was the staff wonderful the guests were too and i believe its because the management set the tone for a welcoming, accepting stay.

Front desk was not friendly. Closes often and no availability for any help if needed. Kitchens in units however they are not furnished with ANYTHING. Not even a coffee pot. You can purchase dishes at the front desk for an outrageous price. Smells of weed and animals through hotel. Room was updated and nice otherwise. Parking lot has terrible parking and very tight spaces.

For being a newlu built property, i thought it would be cleaner. The floor isn't well swept, toilet dirty inside, and the main hallways were very dirty and unmopped. And the whole place smwlled like weed. I understand its hard get people to work, but the owners need to step it up, because it was gross.

The hotel was horrible, terrible housekeeping I had to change my room 3 times because all the ones they said was clean was disgusting… they let the dogs poop and pee all over the hotel with out cleaning up after it…

I do not write unfavorable reviews usually and I have never once in my 35 years asked to change rooms and left early. What a horrid place! First off there’s nobody at the front desk. Even during listed hours, and not even during the revised hours listed on the door. My first room had FUZZY MOLD GROWING ON IN THE FREEZER! They turn off the huge fridges once guests leave and it gets disgusting while the moisture breeds bacteria in the warm fridge, and then you turn it back on when the new guest arrives. It’s putrid. My second room had one bed and I’d paid for two so I had to switch again. My third room reeked of smoke and had short curly hairs in the toilet and dead bugs in the bath and was disgusting. I sprayed everything with microban and cleaned the entire room but it was still nauseating to even smell it. We eventually just left early. You have to call a number to get a front desk person to come down and he was so rude and said he “doesn’t go in the rooms so he doesn’t care about the mold” and I had to wait a total of an hour to get my final room because first he was in the shower then took forever so I just had stuff that had to get cold in my bags that whole time. Once I got the fridge cleaned and turned on it took 3 hours for it to be cold. And all my groceries were bad now. This place was the most horrible experience I’ve ever been to. I also paid extra for dishes and they were FILTHY and I had to run all the dishes through the dishwasher and didn’t use them. Insane.

Our room smelled terrible and the toilet had black build up under the rim that you can’t miss. Not to mention when we opened the bathroom door it smelled of urine and when my husband looked there was pee in the toilet. Pillows smelled like pets and the room just felt dirty. I sprayed air freshener to try and mask the foul odor. I didn’t request another room because by the time we checked in and got settled the front desk was already closed and we were leaving at 4:30 am to return home. I will spend the extra $20-30 for a better hotel next time i travel to the area. Lots of extra fees such as charging for changing out towels, renting an ironing board/iron. I would not recommend. The only good thing was location and the lady at check-in was nice.

I am leaving a 2 star review as the place isn't really bad in terms of beds and being clean (minus the smell) but it smells so bad of cigarette smoke that we left the last night. Every time the AC shuts off (which is frequent) the smell would get worse. The 3rd floor hall also smells like someone or an animal took a poop in it. The would offer no refund for the last night. If cigarettes and poop are you choice of smells then stay here if not then I suggest to not stay here.

For our second day. It took 3 trips/sets of keys being reset to get in our room The hotel smells of tobacco and in some hallways - weed. We requested a non smoking room I’m not sure if it was - but it still Reeked of smoke. Despite leaving the window open all day. Overall decent basic hotel. We were scoping out a place for us to stay a few times/month With soooo many choices within a couple mile radius - I think we’ll be going elsewhere If the room didn’t smell - would actually stay here again. Hope this helps

My stay here was not what I expected, if I wanted to get clean towels for the next day it was a fee, they said the bed size was a queen size, when in actuality it was a full size bed, the room was very small, and not so clean. I won’t stay there anymore.

only complaint we had was the room above us had someone constantly rooming furniture while we were trying to sleep - seriously - they were dragging furniture across the floor and 11 pm at night - it went on and on, Had to turn the TV back on so as my husband and my dog would calm down and go to sleep. was very strange.....

I tried to check into the location and no one was there at all. I call the phone number for 45minutes and other numbers that were there as well. The desk shut down early and no one was there. I then had to go to a different hotel. So 2 hours later.... another place. This is completely not acceptable.

Well once you go in and are not expecting to pay 150.00 deposit at the door after you already paid for the room was a disappointment. No where did it say anything about that before we paid but she was rude anyways will not stay there again . Front seat was closed the whole time until you get there you have to call them once you arrive very not very welcoming at all . Never again

Had to stand in a vestibule and call someone to check us in because we arrived at 10:30pm. Not that big of an issue but it had been a long day of travel. We get up to our room and there is a single pillow next to an empty pillowcase on the bed. My boyfriend went down and knocked on the check-in door to ask for a second pillow and was told they “don’t do extra things” here. Exact words. We didn't arrive until 11pm as our flight was late, there was no one at the front desk to check us in. We called the number for check in after 10pm and no one answered for over an hour. We received help from another hotel guest and finally a very rude lady came and checked us in. I did try calling the hotel directly and spoke with 2 different people in another country that told me they could not help me and we should find another hotel. They are not going to reimburse us for anything and no one even apologized. We will not stay here again.

After driving for 5 hours to get to my hotel, I arrived at 1215 am When I walked into the vestibule the signs said to use the phone to call the on call clerk for after hours check in. Overall the stay was okay. Front desk staff are not available 24 hrs and when I checked in on Saturday around 4pm the supervisor of the hotel told that its her day off and she cant show us the room. It is expected to have a front desk executive 24 hrs. Initially she gave us a main floor level room and I didn’t like that. So I asked her if she can change the room. In reply she told that the hotels fully booked and she don’t have any other room. When I told her to cancel my booking and refund the entire amount she gave us 2 options, one on 4th floor and another one on 2nd floor. Didn’t understand how come those 2 rooms are available soon. In terms of the money we had to pay the rent upfront whereas other hotels which are far better than Woodspring Suites will tell you to pay the amount at the end of the stay. Also, there is a security deposit of US$150 which needs to pay upfornt along with the rent. Moreover, there was additional charge of US$44 which got debited from my account without any information for no reason. Upon asking she told that is an automatic charge which I did not understand and she told that it will get credited in my account back in 2 business days. I stayed there for 7 days and didn’t get the amount yet. So my suggestion would be to hire more customer friendly staffs at the front desk and keep the front desk open 24hrs.

Common areas and hallways not very clean. Front desk not staffed after 4p and you had to be in the hotel for the night by 9:45p or you had to call via a phone to gain entrance to hotel at a $10 charge. Traveling with a pet who may need to go outside later in the evening, this situation was less than ideal. On the positive side, easy to find, close to restaurants and pretty quiet.

Our room smelled terrible and the toilet had black build up under the rim that you can’t miss. Not to mention when we opened the bathroom door it smelled of urine and when my husband looked there was pee in the toilet. Pillows smelled like pets and the room just felt dirty. I sprayed air freshener to try and mask the foul odor. I didn’t request another room because by the time we checked in and got settled the front desk was already closed and we were leaving at 4:30 am to return home. I will spend the extra $20-30 for a better hotel next time i travel to the area. Lots of extra fees such as charging for changing out towels, renting an ironing board/iron. I would not recommend. The only good thing was location and the lady at check-in was nice.

First off do not go in expecting hotel like services. It is more like renting a apartment. If you choose a room with kitchen wares included expect the very minimum. A few dishes, couple utensils, 2 pans, a spatula and spoon. No Coffee makers, no toasters. They will SELL you these at front desk. So bring your own. Do not expect cleaning service unless you pay for it. I was there 20 days and supposedly they would clean after 2 weeks. They didnt show. I asked for them to come next day. They didnt show. Finally after complaining they did on the 16th day. That being said the only things i know they did was change my bedding and towels. Counters still dirty. Floor still dirty. No evidence of any cleaning whatsoever. They disable TV to be able to connect to it for smart casting or anything. My TV would lose signal every hour saying Lan line disconnected. Answer to that was to move me to another room after 5 days of it. Second room TV worked but the sounds from the plumbing were annoying. It must of been a central hub for drains. The noises this cover besides toilet made in middle of the night barely muffled with door closed. The good. At check in room was clean. And nothing seemed worn out. Bed was comfortable. TV was large enough. Shower was huge but back to negative. When looking at pictures of room i was selecting it showed in the room pictures a accessible shower. With grab bars and shower seat. When asked they said i didnt reserve handicapped room. We have none available.

A gem often overlooked. This is one example of a nice property. Clean and well managed. Just wish I had known I didn’t need the dishwasher and pots and pans. Otherwise I have extended my stay and will be here until I settle in my own place again. Perfect for anyone who needs a secure place to stay

The property had a terrible odor as soon as you walked in. Next, there was a young lady sitting in the lobby with a box full of personal items and clothing having a conversation on her phone that didn’t sound very good. I actually left once I rang a doorbell to get a front desk clerk and asked that she cancel my stay.
