Bedford Hotel

Requires a lot of TLC to building. No real storage for clothing, bathroom tight bins left over two day stay.Bar prices fair.Breakfast good.Parking fair if you can get it (1st come) .Fairly close to main tourist area with tram and bus stops adjacent.

Careful Expedia guests! The pool is only free for guests who booked directly with them. You'll have to pay an extra 5 pounds per person per hour if you want to use it! Crazy - didn't expect that! That should definitely be stated when you are booking. Shouldn't show a photo of a pool and later tell you that you have to pay extra to use it!!!!!! Location is pretty nice, as we were able to walk to the Blackpool tower from there, and that was well worth it. Nice walk along the water. The break-fast was also very decent. We didn't have any running water for an hour or so... problem with the plumbing when they were renovating a room. Kind of a pain, as I was just about to have a shower, but there wasn't any water... room was very basic and we had a lovely alley view of garbage and dirt... very gross.. Not sure that I would ever stay there again.

Nice hotel, perfect for what we needed. Comfortable beds, decent breakfasts and amenities in the room. Pool was fantastic. Shame the games room was out of order but looked like it would have been fun for the little one. Tram stop right across the road for access into the centre and a decent car park that is cheap if paid through the hotel itself. We had a lovely stay as a family of 4.

In desperate need of an update. The whole place is so outdated, furniture has seen better days. The lift wasn't working and we found out later that it hadn't worked for a long time. Not ideal carrying things up stairs especially with the amount of things an 8.5 month old has. The room was missing blinds from the windows, furniture was peeling and chipped and one window was broken and let cold air in. On a positive note the place was relatively clean including the bathroom. And the bed was extremely comfortable. It's such a shame because a little bit of paint, some maintenance it would look a little better. It was a very cheap rate which is just as well because it's wasn't worth more than what we paid. Hotel was right in front of the waterfront and not too far a walk from eateries. Parking is available for £6. Staff were friendly but for what ever reason the restaurant was not open.

2 adults 2 children bunk beds king bed, tea coffee tv. Swim and sauna was great, staff very friendly , catered to our needs will be back, bar pool table air hockey etc food

We had great service from walking in till we left, room was tidy and clean. No free parking. Also have to pay £5 to use the pool & jacuzzi, but you do get it all to yourself which is amazing. The phone lines do not work through Google or their web page but reception have details. The couple upstairs kept us awake from 1am-5:30am banging, singing, shouting, screaming and arguing, they didn’t remove them once despite telling them 4 times. We got another night stay free due to this. So yes I’d happily go back.

This was a fab place to stay for a visit in Blackpool, family friendly with private pool hire!! We hired the pool for an hour and was a hit for my children ages 1 and 3 but it was fab for all ages!! The games room was a nice touch but would say it's more for older children and adults, fab view and over all a great experience. The staff were all amazing and very accommodating thank you so much for such a great experience!!! I would definitely recommend this place I'll also add it's amazing value for money. Only down side is the lift was waiting for repair and there's quite a few stairs but what can you do. Amazing value for money!

Was a good stay good location one tram stop from north pier. Pool is good .window in room wouldnt open so was given option of another room or a fan whichbi was happy with. Great staff although 1member charged me a higher price for the same drinks.

Toilet wasnt cleaned. Blinds broken. Door plate falling off. Shower not fit for purpose. Bathroom needing proper wipe down especially around toilet bowl and skirting. Inside property ie walls and carpets looked dated and in need of some attention.

The positives about the Bluewaters is definitely the staff! They where, helpful, polite and very pleasant. The breakfasts were very good, lots of choice and plentiful Unfortunately, what let the hotel down was cleanliness - the dust in our room was so thick you could write your name in it, the cups/glasses hadn't been used in such a long time they had a skin of dust/grime on them - though the bedsheets/duvets did seem to be clean. Sadly in need of an update - but for whatr we paid, we can't complain

The hotel is due to undergo a refurbishment. We had a family room 3 single beds. 1 double bed. The beds. were so comfy. Slept really well. the quilt covers. Pillow cases and towels were spotless. Nice clean and fresh. The pillows even had pillow protectors in them. Our room needed an vacuum over but we were only there for 1 night , toilet and shower separate a bonus. Breakfast adequate plenty of choice. If you dont want a 4 star for the money would recommend 👌 staff friendly and helpfull. Breakfast staff seemed a bit rushed but was busy .

The beds were clean and comfortable but the rooms are ready for a thorough clean and maybe decorating.A lot of fluff under bed and around windows grubby

The stay left so much to be desired upon arrival to our room the carpet was dirty and a sock from previous guest left on floor. Bin in bathroom full with rotten tissue and rubbish. Went to use the kettle and it had what looked like either food or vomit dried on the inside of it. Went for evening meal on the first night seated promptly and given started then sat and watched the rest of the guests have there starter plates cleared and served there mains upon asking one member of staff where our mains were we were told she was going to find out to then come back and say the chef is trying to get them done, strange that other guests who arrived later were served there mains same choice as us but got there’s straight away we waited a further 10 minutes watching others been served to ask another member of staff where our mains were she went and came back and said she doesn’t know when we will get our food as it’s busy, whether this was personal preference to other guests or because we were seated at the back it was not on as we had a child who had not been fed whilst everyone else had been served. We ended up leaving as the service was shocking

I'd struggle to recommend this place. The room was fine, location was alright but that's about it. We had screaming and shouting in the hallway all night, calls to reception went unanswered and nothing was done. I only booked because it was cheap so get what you pay for,

In need of refurb painting repairs, etc .carpets needed good hoovering . Pool was great as could hire for just us but needed some repair. Bedding and towels were white and very clean .

Hotel looks like it’s being updated. Our room was small but had a great view. There was no wardrobe or hanging facilities for clothes. So they just stayed in the case. No bedside cabinets and only 1double socket for kettle etc. so no good for trying to charge multiple devices. But bed was clean & comfortable, plenty of tea & coffee etc and additional milk was given at reception when asked. Staff were very friendly & helpful.

Stayed in room 208 window broken didn’t close was a very windy night window constantly banging/whistling. Toilet roll holder broken. Annoying noise coming from roof

Room was clean and tidy. We found water in shower had be left on hot which was scorching to the skin, leaving it tender for a few hours after. We were near a fire door which at about 3.30 on both days when went back gor rest, slammed numerous times. Second day shook room and went on for about 20 minutes. Later noticed frame to fire door was broken and fire door no longer able to be closed

We loved our stay at the Bluewater- GM and other staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. Only little nag id have is a sign needs to be put on the stairs next to the lift that one or two of the bottom of the steps are either broken or cracked in the middle, nearly went flying, luckily im only 27 so id be fine if i fell but worried about any elderly going down them. Will definitely be booking again which we have with my grandparents in august! :)

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming.

Honestly i have never been to a hotel where the staff really care about you and your experience. Any questions or requests you have they are happy to help. Had a great time there cant wait to go back next year

We arrived at 13.30, asked if we could check in and was grunted at by male to come back at 3pm, we left and came back at 4.30 - again was grunted at and left standing for 45 mins unaware of what was happening, once we got our keys to the room , we entered and rooms was bare, no ambiance no curtains the curtain rail was thick with dust, we stayed here for 4 nights - not once was the rooms cleaned - no sheets changed or towels - we weren’t giving any information on arrival of how this hotel operated to request room cleaning etc - or giving the choice to have breakfasts or services within the hotel, on our forth night we decided to get a drink from the bar only to find it closed with a notice saying closes tonight at 9 - no information provided prior to this, overall stay wasn’t good , carparking was limited not enough spaces - staff couldn’t be bothered to even speak never mind work we will not be back nor will we recommend this hotel

I booked and paid on hotels.com. I arrived and the guy said i had to pay again. It was late and he was on his own and said he was new and the system said i still had to pay despite me already paying. As it was nearly 12 at night i didn’t know what to do. He said if i just pay now and bring it up with them tomorrow i’d be able to get a refund. When i explained it to them the next day the manager wasnt there and theysaid he would call me. He called me later that day saying he was going to issue me a refund that could take up to 5 days. On the 25th i checked (15 days after my stay) no refund had appeared. I called up and explained. I got put on hold for over an hour and i had stuff to do so i had to call back at a later time. I called back over 10 times, no answer, i called back the next day over 10 times at different times no answer and the same thing the next day. As i have no refund receipt i cannot get the bank to do anything. They are ignoring multiple calls and emails. Its a scam, even the photos apart from the outside look nothing like the room. They are dirty and dated.

Honestly, the hotel is ok maybe 6/10 but that is not really my issue. Far be it for me to give a negative review normally however I stayed for 2 nights arrived on the Monday and left this morning. Checked in about 4pm and left my bags as I had to go out. I arrived back at 10pm and went for a shower, I had no hot water, ran my taps for a while and nothing, ended up having a cold shower (not ideal) and went to bed. Next morning there was no one on reception and I had to go out, so I thought I'll let them know on my return in the evening. When I went to reception I spoke to a lad to let him know I had no hot water in my room. At this point a woman appeared and he said "he has no hot water, what should I do?" to which she looked at me and said that they needed a part and the plumber would be here at 8am, this was about the time I was due to leave on the Wednesday morning. My biggest issue is they clearly knew when I checked in on the Monday, no one said a word, offered me any alternative, said sorry, not a word. When I raised the issue on the Tuesday evening again no apology, offer of a resolution what so ever. I feel like whilst the water may have been out of their control that they could have on several occasions let me know and simply chose not to. It was disappointing. The hotel was otherwise ok but nothing special. They have a small pool but it costs extra to use it, there is parking on the front, however again at extra cost.

Staff were brilliant, very professional, polite and helpful all staff had a smile and would always acknowledge you. All needs catered for. We had one issue but was rectified straight away. We will defiantly be coming back.

Amazing place friendly staff

We really enjoyed our stay and the value for money couldn’t be better. The lady on reception is vey nice. Had lots of fun, pool is very nice and so was the breakfast.Only problem was the old man who worked as night manager. He refused to let us in our room when my friend was still out with our key. Shame he ruined it by leaving us waiting on the steps for 45 minutes.

Will definitely be back here! Room clean and very comfortable, staff were lovely and so good with my little boy. Walk out the hotel and the beach is on your door step, can understand why it was fully booked!

Hotel was well placed on the beach for easy walking into the main area of town. Dinner needed to be pre-booked so we went elsewhere. Breakfast good English breakfast. Room was pretty ordinary on ground floor, no view with a fair bit of noise from guests and staff. Staff wonderful.

Loved how it was on the sea front and really handy to the Tower and everything, staff were amazing and so friendly, our only compliant was that the hotel was a bit tired, but good value , thank you

The property was Too far away. This was my fault thinking it was further down from where it was. Hotel was clean good customer service. Breakfast was good . If not for the distance would stay there again

Had everything you need for a trip to Blackpool. Bar, restaurant, pool to yourself for hour (booking required) Lovely sea views, parking, tram stop over the road. Shopping and tower 5 minute walk. Helpful staff ☺️

V convenient, walkable to/from station, right on sea front. Nice breakfast. V pleasant and friendly staff.

A mostly pleasant stay—comfortable bed, with clean bedding extra pillows on request very spacious room, friendly staff also very helpful , warm private pool £5 an hour was lovely, and very tasty breakfast. But, below-par cleanliness, of room in general , view from window of a yard full of old beds and mattresses and a persistent drain odour were drawbacks.

Lovely little hotel very pleasantly surprised for the price we paid. Buffet breakfast plenty of everything you would want. Even a pool extra charge but well worth it. Very enjoyable stay.

Staff are very pleasant and helpful. Stayed half board and the food was very tasty and plentiful. Would definitely be going back.

Stayed in room 115 and was described as cosy which it was and comfortable and clean. Second night was noisy from the TV and loud talking from the room below. Breakfast was excellent and included and a good price for two night stay. Car parking at the front of hotel in good location. Would stay again.

We just had a two night stay. You get what you pay for. If you want cheap for a couple of nights this is fine. The staff where very accommodating, it's not there fault the hotel is so run down. They all seem to be in two places at once. The main receptionist was lovely 🌹. The food is good and a variety of choices. But sorry wouldn't stay there again.
