We were there during the unfortunate event of a fire. We were vendors at the Horse Expo, so gone all day till 6 pm.They staff were friendly, caring and courteous. The only thing is, I wished they had contacted us as soon as it was possible to let us know what had happened. We would have dealt with our stuff sooner and not had such a late night. But like what said the staff were friendly and sympathetic. There are 2 separate buildings on the property, so they moved us to a new room. Otherwise, the motel is clean. Done rooms could use an update on the bathroom fans, it was loud.

Great experience. Stayed with kids. Nicely situated for our needs. Pool was great and the kids adored the slide but it was very fast so beware. Hot tub was not working. Breakfast was included and the kids enjoyed it.

Nicely maintained Property specifically interior, do not go by exterior look. Well maintained furniture, renovated Bathroom. Serves continental breakfast too. Quite place, lots of options for food / fast food / Gas etc all just stone throwing distance away.

upon booking, the price looked reasonable, and the service recieved by the front desk agent was very pleasant and helpful, but when entering our very dark, dingey and filty room.. i was not impressed, stains, dirt and grime everywhere, chunks of ...debris in the sink and when in use it would back up water and grime back into the sink. we asked if we could switch rooms and explained the situation, again the front desk agent was helpful and understanding, but that can only go so far for a overpriced and undervalued experience. definitely would not he staying here again.

It’s not terrible but very dated in and out. The room was ok but old carpets, old paint colors and old furniture doesn’t feel comfortable. Biggest irritation for me was the dated RF key cards that deactivate if they come into contact with cell phones or magnets. My wallet had a magnet in it and the card is easily slipped in your pocket with cell phone or wallet and the card no longer opens the door. It happened 4 times, 3x in the span of the first 2 hours and once in the morning when I took the dog out. This technology very outdated. Sheets clean, no bugs Lady at the front desk and the owner seemed very nice and welcoming!!

Just needed a bed to sleep in. Check in was good, the night auditor was nice. Room was fine for the price. However the room was super hot upon arrival. Turned on the AC and went to sleep. Awoke two hours later sweating. So hot. Checked the AC and it seemed to be working but the room wasn’t cooling down. Window would not open. Opened the room door to try to cool room but couldn’t go to sleep with it open. So it was a long night. I could have asked to change rooms but it was late and I was tired. When I checked out the GSA was nice but didn’t ask me how my stay was so I didn’t mention it.

Lady at check in was fantastic and friendly. Rooms are terribly out of date, AC did not work and room was crazy hot, didn't expect the Ritz Carlton at $70/night but AC needs to work or tell clients it is out.

Our one night stay at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Red Deer was excellent. The staff were polite, kind, and very accommodating and when we were faced with the dilemma on how we were going to be able to get to our bus to head home back to Calgary the owner offered to take us to the bus station. That subsequently saved our butts as we are now back safe and sound in Calgary. We appreciated that so much. As for the remainder of my review, the property was clean and the room was well kept and the price was affordable. We will definitely book another room here should we return to Red Deer again in the future, thank you for the wonderful stay.

The staff were extremely helpful. My car was couldn’t start and they helped me a lot in trying to get it going. No hesitation at all from them. They also called me on my way home to let me know we had left a charger in the room. Very nice and helpful staff

The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. I had issues with my CC and they had no issues working things out with me to my full satisfaction. I will stay here again if I am in town and would recommend it to anyone.

The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Also very helpful. The building was a bit older and the proximity of some very loud vehicles woke me up early in the morning. The bed was comfy and pillows were good as well. The breakfast was okay. Wanted a bit more variety

Enjoyed my stay. Convenient to where I needed to go and had plenty of restaurants around to have my pick. I like my window open for fresh air and it was a bit noisy but my fault knowing I’m near main highway, but still slept great 😂 good stay non the less.

Every time I’m in town this is where I stay. Excellent service easy check in easy check out close to amenities right off the highway. Just perfect. I love it.

Didn’t really notice anything wrong with this hotel, it is a diamond in a rough basically. Sign in was easy people were friendly. The room was amazing. The beds were comfortable. The only complaint I have is the air conditioning. I was boiling my air conditioner just shut off some cool air, but that’s fixable. Super nice people at the desk. Rooms were very nice. Surroundings were very nice if you have a pet there’s a really great grassy area at the hotel. They have a little simple breakfast. And I couldn’t be happier with my stay. Like I said, diamond in the rough, And I’m a picky Hotel person and I’m glad I decided to stay here because it was perfect.

This place needs some serious upgrades. The door handle got stuck in the open position and when i asked front desk she told me it was vintage and I just needed to insert the key card again to dislodge the stuck handle. The included breakfast was toast, cereal and bananas, then coffee/tea and juice. Very light. The security lock on the inside of the door was missing 2 or 3 screws, if someone shoulder hit it, it’d surely open. On the upside, the bed was alright, and the shower had nice hot water. Never again though. See you never.
This place needs some serious upgrades. The door handle got stuck in the open position and when i asked front desk she told me it was vintage and I just needed to insert the key card again to dislodge the stuck handle. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Also very helpful. The building was a bit older and the proximity of some very loud vehicles woke me up early in the morning. The bed was comfy and pillows were good as well. The breakfast was okay. Wanted a bit more variety

Great experience. Stayed with kids. Nicely situated for our needs. Pool was great and the kids adored the slide but it was very fast so beware. Hot tub was not working. Breakfast was included and the kids enjoyed it.

Nicely maintained Property specifically interior, do not go by exterior look. Well maintained furniture, renovated Bathroom. Serves continental breakfast too. Quite place, lots of options for food / fast food / Gas etc all just stone throwing distance away.
