A basic old hotel. In out of tub very difficult due to the tub was on a riser without a grab bar. It was an ok stay.

Bed was very uncomfortable, sink and bathtub wouldn't drain, door handle to bathroom was very lose, breakfast buffet was empty when we got there an hour after it opened, the pool was ice cold, and the elevator was very scary, it moved before the door was completely closed.

The water in shower did not drain as we bathed. I couldn't lift the plug. It just trickled out. The tub was the highest off the floor I have ever seen. Yet there was no safety handles. I told the check-in clerk that my husband was disabled and had mobility issues. So I was very surprised he didn't discuss the bathroom situation with me. It was very dangerous for my husband. Then in the morning, when we were ready to leave, there was no one in the office. In fact the front door was locked. We were parked at the front and took our stuff out to the car and then planned to have breakfast and check out. Good thing we hadn't turned in our key card and could access the hotel by the side door. In addition, the TV remote was entirely new to me, and there was nothing in the room that gave us instructions on how to use it. The one very good thing about our stay was the bed. It was very comfortable. Too bad all the rest left a bad taste in our mouth.

Run down and in the bad part of town. Wanted to swim, but the light never came on.

Couple of comments - first, the door seal in the pool area (that goes to a stairwell with access to the outside), leaked, making the pool area cold. Secondly, while breakfast was offered, they ran out of a lot of hot food items and the juice machine ran dry. The staff needed to be notified by customers when things ran out and they didn't know how to properly refill the juice machine. Other than those items, the hotel was clean, comfortable and reasonably priced.

Overall good .pool wasnt open though.

The bath tube shower was raised 6 inches off the floor, It made it difficult to enter or get out of. No handles to help. Dangerous for seniors. The free breakfast was gone by 8:00 and wasn't refilled.

We stayed at this location on Dec 22nd as well as the 29th during our holiday travels. We noticed the facility seems a bit run down. Ice machines out of order, carpets in disrepair, etc. the rooms are clean but FREEZING upon entry. We turn the heat to 80 for multiple hours to get it comfortable enough to sleep, only to wake up overnight to adjust it back down to the 70s. I understand saving resources by not preheating rooms but man, 65 is cold! Staff is lovely. No complaints there.

The hotel as a whole looked very run down. Our room had a strange smell to it, as did the AC/heating unit. The door entering the building (keycard use) was broken, the glass was shattered on the bottom half. Having stayed in other Americinns throughout Wisconsin, we were very disappointed. Saying the hotel was gross is putting it nicely.

The hotel was not clean in public areas, felt unsafe and very rundown. Needs an extreme update and refresh.

I had a one night stay with a queen double bed room. The sheets on BOTH beds were dirty and stained. One bed had multiple red splatters all over the sheets and covers, the other bed had similar stains but also had like dirt stains on the sheets. Not recommended and thankfully my stay was short.

The floors in our room were sticky. The carpets in the hallways were dirty. The room was so small it felt cramped. I do not recommend anyone to stay at this Americinn.

I really appreciate how clean the property and our room was.

Our first room has dirty sheets so we asked for new sheets, they moved us to a new room. Very worn down hotel. Our new room was next to a very loud guest and prior to checking out this am he had a man pounding on his door looking for the drugged out woman in the room. I would not recommend this hotel

Extremely small, cramped room and bathroom. Shower was perhaps 24” x 24”. Also, there was a long, black hair , very visible on the shower shelf. Shower floor was worn and dingy looking. I would not recommend this hotel.

It was clean but had a terrible smell

The hotel was clean, smelled good walking through the hallways. Check in and out was easy and done online if you wanted to. The room was clean and AC was great. Overall it was a good choice for me and my best friend.

The shower head was broken, but they fixed it right away. The towels were stained, the carpet was super dirty and sticky and the air conditioner was dirty and dust was flying out of it.

Air conditioner working like a tractor, couldn't sleep whole night.

It was so quiet

It was a very brief stay for an early morning flight so we didn't have breakfast. Coffee was in the room, which was appreciated. Towels were good, beds very clean and comfortable. Perfect for traveling

There were a number of cracks in the wall in the shower, clearly just painted over. The bed was terrible. It was extremely uncomfortable and the metal frame made loud popping noises at the slightlest movement.

The pool was nice and clean as no one seems to use it! The rooms come with a fridge and microwave. There are lots of shopping and food options near. I was referred here by UW Vet Care as the property accepts pets ($25 fee/per pet). The hotel needs some work. -Bed is noisy, hard, and uncomfortable -Walls are thin, so you can hear EVERYTHING -Felt unsafe as doors were propped open and the front door did not lock until well after 9 -There were legit maybe 10 people staying there, yet the room was not ready until 2:30 ish -I stayed in room 112, the AC was partially off the wall, the bathroom vent was semi-dangling from the ceiling

The room was clean and beds comfortable. We're used to a king but only had 2 doubles available. We both slept comfortably on the double bed.

We had to call from the lobby to have someone come to the desk to check us in The desk clerk could not look up our Wyndham award account on her computer system. Did not seem to know the system very well. Some painting and improvements going on and I was a bit nervous about our room but fortunately the room was clean.

The room was clean, the staff was helpful abd nice, the breakfast was basic but im glad we had it.

I booked a two-night stay through Expedia, but the hotel treated it as two separate one-night reservations. This meant I was required to check in and out each day instead of simply staying in the same room. At 11 a.m., housekeeping came in insisting that I check out. I explained that I had booked two nights, but they didn’t understand. Shortly after, the front desk called and told me the same thing—that I had two single-night bookings instead of one continuous two-night stay. Because of this frustrating experience, I chose not to stay the second day and will not be staying at a Wyndham property again.

The staff were nice and accommodating. I had to wait for my ride, and the lady was very nice and understanding

Wonderful staf very kind and liatens to customers. Willing to help with directions and recommendations. Very pleasant here and safe. They treat customers like they are family.

Upon entering I noticed the unpleasant smell of them trying to cover up the smell of smoke with air fresheners even though they claim to be 100% smoke free. It was in the lobby, hallway and our room. When I got to the front desk, I had to call someone on the phone next to it to get there so I could check in. After a few minutes, someone came and handed me the key card. I got back in the car to drive around to unload my stuff but none of the doors opened. Turns out I was handed the wrong key card which was frustrating because we just had an 8 hour drive behind us and it was late. The guy came to the room stating he handed me the wrong one and gave me the right one. He then left and was laughing and talking to someone over the headphones, I was annoyed. The room was very small along with the bathroom and everything else really. The smell of the smoke mixed with air freshener really made it difficult to relax. Luckily it was only for one night and if it wasn’t that late, we would have looked for another place to stay. We refused to eat breakfast there due to the smell and the other guests who made me uncomfortable and decided to leave by 6 AM. The lobby was locked and had to call someone again to get to the front desk. It took them a bit so I went around and through the hallway. I saw her coming downstairs and met me there. I believe whoever works here actually lives here too which is not an issue unless we have to call them to come to the front desk which is just inconvenient.

The neighborhood, after dark, felt a bit unsafe. The facility and the staff were nice and acceptable for the price.

The fact the they are located close to the main local places to visit. Also we loved to walk at the park next door. The pool show be more attractive to be use.

Bad area lots of homeless

Clean hotel with basic amenities and very reasonable price. Close to food options and shopping. My overnight stay was for business, so was basically a place to sleep and prepare for the next day.

We choice hotel based on convenience to the airport. Room itself was clean and comfortable. Hotel exterior and entrance were a little sketchy. Staff was very friendly.

Front desk was unfriendly, room was a little dirty, and the immediate area is a little sketchy. But bed and room were pretty comfortable. Plenty of shopping and dining options in the area.

It is really close to a bus stop that will take you directly to downtown

No WIFI service in my room and breakfast eggs were old

Breakfast was good and overall the hotel was good value. Friendly staff.

I had a couch in my room, but it was cloth and stained and I was afraid to sit on it. Most things I read said there was free breakfast. Not true, but they do have breakfast you can buy and Starbucks Coffee. Coffee in the room was horrible. Bed was hard and I had a lot of traffic noise. Oh and I think I had an extremely low toilet. Felt like I was sitting on the floor each time I used it. I will be moving on next time I go to Madison. I believe the property is a 2 star and that's what they are. Just moving on to 3 or 4 stars next time.

Unexpected charges & changes to my reservation at check-in, caused confusion & a bit of frustration. Room was changed last minute. Room was tiny, and everything had a stain of some sort. The toilet had cigarette burns in it, and tub had drywall falling off into bathe tub. Water pressure in sink was low, and shower head splattered everywhere when in use. So entire bathroom got soaked. Breakfast was probably best feature, staff was very friendly & accommodating.

Breakfast wasn’t great but the price of the stay was a good deal. Room clean and that’s all you can hope for. Pool onsite but I didn’t use it.
