Hyatt Place Indianapolis Carmel

The hotel was beautiful and easy to get to. All of the staff were kind and helpful. The cleaning staff were respectful and kind also. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. The staff who stocked it up kept running back and forth the whole time my family and I were there stocking it all back up. My kids loved the pool and the fitness room looked amazing. The room was clean and the bed super comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was clean and new. Beds were comfy. Large sitting area in the room. Room was clean, fresh and bright. Curtains were very darkening. Only complaints were the fitness area (machines - not all were working and couldn’t get media to work), no microwave in the room and no working fan in bathroom (room stays humid). AC was great and temp easily adjusted. Staff very friendly. Check in was a breeze even at midnight they were at the desk ready to help.

The facility was clean but the pool was not functional due to being too cold and some kind of mechanical issue with the pool.

Second time staying here - very polite staff and spacious room! Great location and stay. My only thing I found frustrating was there was not enough convenient parking. There were several trucks taking up multiple parking spaces which clearly ignored the signs that said "no trucks beyond this point". I told staff but they said there wasn't much they could do about it and did not really try to make an effort to help me problem solve. I feel like this should be more strictly enforced. I didn't get back until close to 1 am and didn't want to worry about safety walking from the Ritz lot back to the Hyatt. That is my only complaint.

Liked the workout area

Booked as Christmas gift to grandsons to swim in pool, but pool was not available (heater broken) even tho I had called the day before to confirm. Front desk agent Arthur was very helpful and referred us to another Hyatt Place Property, who is now trying to get payment from me.

My family and me stay for a week. They clean our room everyday except two days cause i told them it didnt need it. The pool was nice the kids had fun. Our room was nice. When we needed towels we got. We only ate the breakfast one day and it was ok. They were very helpful and all staff was very nice. The little bar that is there was alway busy at night. It was a nice clean hotel. We would stay again..

Nice, new hotel that met all our needs. My only suggestions would be to extend your breakfast to wrap up at 10 instead of 9:30 (we were in town for a concert at Ruoff Music Center, which I suspect is what a fair amount of your business is in town for) – we got back late the night before and would have appreciated a later breakfast time. There were no pancakes when we came down at 9:10 a.m., so my kids were a little disappointed, but they'll live. :) Thanks for an excellent stay!

Slow check in as the only available staff got called away from the front desk to a room. Shower have 4-5 long black hairs stuck of the walls. Drawer wouldn't stay closed. VERY noisy from truck traffic on the major highway right next to hotel. (Request a room as far away from the highway as possible.) Mirror in bathroom is very far away from where you stand to shave and get ready. If you like soft water in the shower this is the place for you. Personally I never feel like I get the soap washed off.

I really can’t say without seeing a standard room but it was very spacious even for a HC accessible room. Shower was very slippery. Almost fell more than once. Informed front desk. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was lacking. No eggs at all. It just seemed a bit underwhelming but what I ate was good. No microwave in the room but there is one available to use in the breakfast area even outside of breakfast hours. Price wise…..not really relevant. . It was Indy 500 weekend so prices are “adjusted” just like is done for big events in most cities. Price wasn’t out of line with similar hotels in the area. Overall I felt welcome. Staff was helpful and warm. Even with the negatives this hotel is on my list of acceptable hotels in the area for future use.

Smelled really bad like garlic in some areas. The room was beautiful though, huge tv, and nice cushion top mattress. I suggest taking your own pillows as these sunk way too low. Breakfast was ok - scrambled eggs, sausage, and ham with different bread items and juices. Shower and bathroom were amazing. Parking was good. Overall would recommend.

Room was nice and clean. Hallway had stains and noticeable pieces of trash/dirt. Air conditioner was good. Bedding was nice but bed could’ve had a bit of support. Staff very nice and friendly.

The property is very pretty with a welcoming lobby. The bar and breakfast area is nice. My room was modern and clean. The bathroom was very nice and updated. My complaint is the bedding was not very soft. I would say it was scratchy and not soft and cozy. You can also easily hear the nearby highway.

Everything was great. The only slightly negative was the road noise as we were in the room closest to the highway. Highly recommend and would stay again!

I liked that everything was clean. I just wish they had a tub for my child. All they had was a shower.

Hate the soft/slimy water. Towels very rough. No staff around for check in. AC unit comes on VERY loudly throughout the night as you’re trying to sleep. Pillows were terrible.

The showerhead dripped, and the room was too close to highway 31.

Spacious, two queen beds and a pull out sofa, safe, busy but quiet, with central location. First stay at a Hyatt place. Aylin at the front desk is so lovely, Arthur, everyone we encountered at the front desk in the evenings. Mini fridge in room was nice. Out of milk most mornings at breakfast, but did have other breakfast staples. Pool was heated but on the cooler side and would benefit from a skimmer check but is quite clean. No hot tub. Room was clean aside from a hanger on the floor. Only complaint, Housekeeping did not respect/honor the no room service door knocker one afternoon @ 5pm (could not enter due to security lock, but no knock, announcement, a bit startled/interrupted while on a work call). Wifi was super fast an easy to connect to, although we did find that we needed to reconnect daily, no biggie. Nice eco friendly shower toiletries, KenetMD, surprisingly good quality. Soft water in the area so shower was super slippery after soap and conditioner. Could not figure out how one outlet worked (we think it was on a switch most likely a user error). Lovely pillow top on the mattress and great night sleep! Perfect respite for weary travelers and rest after long days. We do not frequent Carmel (dreaded and abundant roundabouts) as we have family in other suburbs but this was recommended as closest to nearby hospital (family member staying) and would more than happily return to this hotel for the room and front desk staff alone. Liked that rooms were spacious, comfort bed and pillows, quiet, fairly priced, clean, large shower although there should be a warning about the extreme slippery shower floor after using the shower gel provided

The room was amazing. So spacious and clean. Decorated so modern and the beds were very comfy. Absolutely loved our stay.

The trash was falling out the trash can upon arrival. The manager or Stephanie Was Rude and gave me an attitude when I asked why my tv dint work.I spent my hard earned money on this hotel only to be treated poorly. Don't come here it's not worth the Rate they charge!

Hotel was very clean and had ample parking. Front desk staff were gone from their post both when I checked in and checked out. I had to go find them once in the back kitchen of the hotel and had a cleaning worker to go find them the second time. They need a bell.

Front desk wasn’t very friendly. They couldn’t find my reservations for over 15 minutes. Never apologized. Went to check out and waiting for ever for the front desk staff to come up and never apologized for lengthy wait. Customer in front of me said she had been in line to check out for over 10 minutes. I was behind her along with two other guest who I assume were checking out as well. Not very confident that I would stay here again or recommend to other guest.

Very pleased so far!! My stay is now complete and as an addendum I just want to say this was a very enjoyable stay! Shout out to Leah (not sure on spelling) but she checked me in and was very helpful in accommodating switching my room to a more desirable location for me! Most places will NOT do that resorting to, “it is predetermined and we’re booked solid-nothing I can do…etc.” I loved her can do attitude!!

I had to wait almost 10 minutes in the lobby until an employee showed up and checked me in. Unacceptable.

I waited for 25 minutes for someone to appear at the front desk when I arrived. People had been waiting even longer. The guy on duty looked like he was sleeping & didn’t apologize or even offer us a drink & snack. He was frankly rude & didn’t care. Don’t let the HYATT brand fool you.

This is my 3rd time staying at this location. It’s close to many restaurants and easy on and off the highway. The staff are very friendly

Nice hotel. Nice value. Nothing nearby in walking distance but a good spot for a general stay. Near Carmel and not far from Broad Ripple area.

The hotel and staff were very nice. Convienient to some dining and to the highway. We had a room facing the highway, so there was some traffic noise. Overall, nice place to stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was adequate, and location was great for a short drive to Main Street area. The hallway carpets have seen better days and some upkeep was needed including the bathroom fan not working properly and the smoke alarm light kept flashing. Minor inconveniences though and staff were very friendly. Would book again!

Property and staff were awesome!!!! Really nice place! However, the Ritz Charles next door had two weddings two nights in a row, I the bass thumping through our walls kept us up for those nights…in no way the hotel’s fault, but ouch.

Highly recommend. Room was clean with all the modern conveniences. Within short driving distance of great restaurants. Easy access to highway also to get to downtown Indianapolis.

Breakfast was amazing!!

No full length mirror. Housekeeping was knocking on doors prior to checkout time. Breakfast eggs were medallions rather than fresh scrambled; better breakfast at lower priced hotels. Otherwise fine for a one night stay.

Room was great, market and after hours snack selection was terrible! Worst continental breakfast I have ever had!! Sausage patties you could hear snap and break when bent!! Sausage links was like eating cardboard. All meats OBVIOUSLY microwaved and not cooked and someone needs some training on how to use a microwave!! Would be better not to offer anything than the food they serve!!! Hotel is nice room is great!
