This place is quiet, cozy and great. They have everything but a pool, but I don't use the pool. Staff was quiet and kind and hospitable. It's right off the interstate and across the way is a gas station. Highly recommend.

The room was fine but the tv didn’t work, the hot water ran out too fast, the elevator and the property in general was in terrible condition. They only had one person on staff at any given time, and the person on staff during the day hardly spoke English. Would not recommend this property.

Do not stay here. The beds are as hard as a concrete slab, and the WiFi extenders on the ceilings in the rooms emit the brightest green light ever, making it almost impossible to sleep. I’m pretty sure there’s a homeless encampment in the corner of the parking lot because there’s pallets stacked up and a couple of grills for fires, and I saw a couple individuals chilling in the creek bed. If you decide you hate yourself enough to stay here, make sure it’s not on a weekend there’s hockey. The parents will hang out in the lobby and get drunk, letting their kids run wild on all 3 floors (being loud and yelling, blasting music in the hallways) while hotel staff does nothing about it. Also, turning out of the parking lot, is a one way street (right turn). So coming back to the hotel is a hassle and a half. I will never stay here again, and will spend more to stay at a higher priced hotel, like the Hilton down the road next time.

On a plus note, while the room was very small, the bed and bedding were rather plush, and the lobby is nice, with a typical value breakfast. On the negative side, (1) the a/c in my room was horrible - it never got cool and the front desk staff were of no help, and (2) the outside area surrounding area the hotel is pitiful, with a semi-truck lot and huge target parking lot surrounding the hotel - and - the nearest restaurants are a drive to the other side of the interstate.

My room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning worked. However, the common areas were not clean at all, and poorly maintained. The asphalt in the parking lot was breaking up, and there was trash here and there. Shrubs and trees were hanging over the sidewalk. This property needs a little more time spent on it.

TLDR version : Do not stay here. The condition of this hotel is appalling. The unkempt bushes w/ volunteer trees sprouting; the half-dead bush at the front door; and the dirt/oil from peoples' hands where they have pushed/pulled on the front and back doors were all warnings. Walking to the room, the hallway walls were all damaged and saw at least 1 broken metal door molding. Entering my room, I was overwhelmed by the vast amount of perfume or deodorizer someone used. I went to open the window and found the screen torn in the bottom corner. No fresh air tonight. Looking around the room, all the furniture was damaged; pealing paint; holes in the wall; cables hanging in the open; spiderwebs in the corners; dried paint on linens; and a stain and hole in the comforter was what I could easily see in 5 minutes. And the room door doesn't close because it sticks on the threshold. Moving to the bathroom, I was glad I had a tetanus shot last year after seeing the rusted door frame by the sink. Horrible wall patch jobs and paint jobs. And the sink light was missing a bulb. The sink and vanity looked nice and new-er, but with old paint on the bathroom racks/hooks/curtain rod and everything else, this was just lipstick on a pig. There isn't enough space available in this review box to go into the high pitched routing work being done until 845p; nor the breakfast area problems. But as a note, caulking over grout w/ black mold does not fix, nor conceal the problem.

I liked the window seat! I should have checked out the room more before moving into it, because there was significant mold behind the refrigerator and the refrigerator wasnt clean. The room smelled badly, but the staff was friendly and i enjoyed my stay. So my experience was very mixed.

This is one of the cleanest and nicest Quality Inn I've stayed at! Check in was easy and fast. Bed was firm and comfortable, room was meticulously clean, and hotel was quiet. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again.

This is always our go to hotel when we visit Owatonna. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. They always accommodate when needed. The facility is clean and kept up great. Only thing that would make the stay better is to get a better shower head and clean the drain in the tub. Other than that it’s great.

I booked a single queen. The room was smaller than I had thought it would be… like almost too small to get the luggage cart into the room, let alone maneuver around it to unload it. Bed was not the comfiest, felt like one of those box beds. Staff was friendly. Breakfasts were fine. Location was good. There’s a target across the back lot (with a Starbucks!) Water pressure in the shower was weak and some days it took a while for the water to get hot. All in all, it was worth the price I paid for the week.

The room was about what I’d expect for the price. I had an issue with the TV and the blow dryer was supposed to be a wall mount but wasn’t so had the base hanging while in use. The breakfast tables were all dirty and garbage overflowing. I was looking for a cheap overnight and that is what I got.

The hotel was close to the highway. Price was good. Our keys didn't work in the door. The employee had to go downstairs three times to fix our door....the key panel had a defect. The microwave didn't work. And we were on the east side of the hotel. The blinds did not keep the sun out.

The room was barely 12’x14’. We had to shuffle around the bed. The window seat over the heating/cooling unit was not comfortable to sit on. The heating/cooling unit could not properly regulate the temp of the room. It so hot when we entered and we had to mess with it all night… up and down trying to find a comfortable temperature. Hot water took forever. I feel like the $128 we paid was way too much.

This place looked either relatively new and/or refinished - nice lobby. Rooms are small, but comfortable for a quick trip. My room was completely clean, but my Dad who I was staying with next door did end up finding a water roach in his bathtub that freaked him out. I know they crawl up drains so not much to do from a hotel standpoint, but just pointing it out. Water from the tub ran HOT, like damn I'm pretty sure it can get boiling hot if you wanted to. Water pressure was also great so at least you'll get a nice shower. The one thing that really bothered me was the check in process. It was SO PAINFULLY SLOW and I'm not quite sure why?? It seems like a new hotel, but it literally took 15-20 minutes for two people before us to check in because the desk dude had to plug in everything manually and couldn't check in two reservations simultaneously. It's like an archaic system, and I've NEVER seen them have to do this at any other hotel so I'm perplexed why their system is like that. It didn't help that the guy also moved/talked at a snail's pace, so frustrating if there's a line or you're pressed for time.

The gal at the front desk was really wonderful and listens very carefully to your wants and concerns. She gave me a great room in the upper level. The only problem with that room was it smelled like old cigarette smoke. Other than that it was a really nice room and I felt safe. The breakfast was a really nice free breakfast. She (the front desk gal) was so nice that she let the juice and the coffee stay on a little longer past cut off time while we sat there. Everything was clean. The rooms are older, but they have updated them to look nice. The hotels right off the highway so it’s easy to stop for the night but there’s quite a few restaurants and fast food close by. Target is right down the road so you can go get coffee at the Starbucks in there and shop. I really liked Staying here.

This is always our go to hotel when we visit Owatonna. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. They always accommodate when needed. The facility is clean and kept up great. Only thing that would make the stay better is to get a better shower head and clean the drain in the tub. Other than that it’s great.

The hotel did not have my booking I made through Expedia. They told me they could not help me and I had to call Expedia and get help. I’ve been traveling for seven days at that point and needed a place to rest my head. Being greeted by someone who would not assist me in finding my reservation, even though it was paid for, was unacceptable. I’m thankful that Expedia worked it out and I was able to stay in my hotel that was already paid for on the Expedia app. I do not recommend booking this hotel through third-party apps.

This place is quiet, cozy and great. They have everything but a pool, but I don't use the pool. Staff was quiet and kind and hospitable. It's right off the interstate and across the way is a gas station. Highly recommend.

Do not stay here. The beds are as hard as a concrete slab, and the WiFi extenders on the ceilings in the rooms emit the brightest green light ever, making it almost impossible to sleep. I’m pretty sure there’s a homeless encampment in the corner of the parking lot because there’s pallets stacked up and a couple of grills for fires, and I saw a couple individuals chilling in the creek bed. If you decide you hate yourself enough to stay here, make sure it’s not on a weekend there’s hockey. The parents will hang out in the lobby and get drunk, letting their kids run wild on all 3 floors (being loud and yelling, blasting music in the hallways) while hotel staff does nothing about it. Also, turning out of the parking lot, is a one way street (right turn). So coming back to the hotel is a hassle and a half. I will never stay here again, and will spend more to stay at a higher priced hotel, like the Hilton down the road next time.

On a plus note, while the room was very small, the bed and bedding were rather plush, and the lobby is nice, with a typical value breakfast. On the negative side, (1) the a/c in my room was horrible - it never got cool and the front desk staff were of no help, and (2) the outside area surrounding area the hotel is pitiful, with a semi-truck lot and huge target parking lot surrounding the hotel - and - the nearest restaurants are a drive to the other side of the interstate.

The hotel was close to the highway. Price was good. Our keys didn't work in the door. The employee had to go downstairs three times to fix our door....the key panel had a defect. The microwave didn't work. And we were on the east side of the hotel. The blinds did not keep the sun out.

The room was about what I’d expect for the price. I had an issue with the TV and the blow dryer was supposed to be a wall mount but wasn’t so had the base hanging while in use. The breakfast tables were all dirty and garbage overflowing. I was looking for a cheap overnight and that is what I got.

This is one of the cleanest and nicest Quality Inn I've stayed at! Check in was easy and fast. Bed was firm and comfortable, room was meticulously clean, and hotel was quiet. Breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage and waffles. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again.

TLDR version : Do not stay here. The condition of this hotel is appalling. The unkempt bushes w/ volunteer trees sprouting; the half-dead bush at the front door; and the dirt/oil from peoples' hands where they have pushed/pulled on the front and back doors were all warnings. Walking to the room, the hallway walls were all damaged and saw at least 1 broken metal door molding. Entering my room, I was overwhelmed by the vast amount of perfume or deodorizer someone used. I went to open the window and found the screen torn in the bottom corner. No fresh air tonight. Looking around the room, all the furniture was damaged; pealing paint; holes in the wall; cables hanging in the open; spiderwebs in the corners; dried paint on linens; and a stain and hole in the comforter was what I could easily see in 5 minutes. And the room door doesn't close because it sticks on the threshold. Moving to the bathroom, I was glad I had a tetanus shot last year after seeing the rusted door frame by the sink. Horrible wall patch jobs and paint jobs. And the sink light was missing a bulb. The sink and vanity looked nice and new-er, but with old paint on the bathroom racks/hooks/curtain rod and everything else, this was just lipstick on a pig. There isn't enough space available in this review box to go into the high pitched routing work being done until 845p; nor the breakfast area problems. But as a note, caulking over grout w/ black mold does not fix, nor conceal the problem.
