Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Collingwood

The room was clean, the hotel itself was great the staff were helpful and friendly. The indoor pool is very small.

I liked how clean and spacious the rooms were. I also appreciated how a tasty breakfast was included and how helpful the breakfast crew was. Having a coffee/tea station always available in the lobby was also appreciated. I did enjoy using the pool, as the water temperature was very comfortable. I also got to have a relaxing soak in the hot tub.

Hot tub jets didn’t work and it felt cold.

Pool is tiny and was closed for repairs the morning we wanted to use it with our 2 year old. Had to line up for the buffet breakfast and was limited space to sit. Air con in room was noisy with a baby

Always a great stay at this location. The staff are extremely healpful, especially Katie and Tracey(?) at the front desk, and Daniella in the breakfast service. The gym is great, and the pool too. Only suggestion would be that frosted glass peel and stick or window covering be put on, at the very least, the lower 3-4 feet of the pool windows as the whole parking lot can look in, and slightly unsettling. Otherwise, very lovely stay, always, and the best cold water and tea and coffee avail in the main lobby.

Quite and clean place to stay... everything available on 3-5min drive.. pool accessible till 11.00pm.. breakfast is open till 10.00am so you actually relax ur stay.. no need to wakeup early for breakfast :)

I would have honestly given it 5 stars if the hot tub was actually hot. I brought my daughter specifically here for her birthday because of the pool and hot tub. The hot tub was a luke warm bath and when I asked them to turn it up they couldn't. If it is for kids to use then the pool should be heated and the hot tub should actually be a hot tub. Everything else was perfect!

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Collingwood and were pleasantly surprised by how clean everything was, cleaner than expected, actually. The suite was spacious enough that the kids could run around without risking bumps or broken lamps (a rare win for parents everywhere). Breakfast was exactly what you’d hope for, all the classics and plenty to get the day started right. The free coffee and fruit available all day were also a nice touch, especially when you need that mid-afternoon caffeine boost. The hotel sits on the edge of the city, but given Collingwood’s size, that basically means you’re still just 5-10 minutes from everything worth seeing. All in all, a great stay, clean rooms, good breakfast, happy kids, and no driving stress. Would definitely stay again!

The free breakfast was well stocked with a good variety of food, which we really appreciated. They had free coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit offered throughout the day in the lobby. The location was also excellent. It was close to restaurants, Blue Mountain Resort, and the Scandinavian Spa. We would happily stay here again.

Towel rack falling off when we arrived. Items in room, hallways and pool area mounted incorrectly. Pool should be closed and refurbished! Rusted hardware, mould on most areas of floor and shower .Would not use!

Room was spotless, good size with a very nice bathroom. Very friendly staff. Hotel offers a good breakfast Location is great; close to the city center and Blue Mountains. We had a very nice stay ! Thank you.

We had a good stay overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, and our room was cleaned regularly. Supplies were always restocked promptly from the coffee station to the towels by the pool, which we appreciated. The only issue was a smell coming from the washroom in our room. It seemed like an old drainage odor. Not a dealbreaker, but niticeable. Aside from that, everything else was great and well taken care of. Thank you for all the friendly staff.

Was not impressed with the handicapped suite w/ washroom door THAT could not close tightly & properly other than that- nice room and view !!!

We stayed here for first time in the accessible 2 queen suite. Everything was very clean. The “suite” was nothing special. It was same size and layout as a standard double queen room. We were disappointed the tv is not a smart tv for such a new hotel, and there were no complimentary bottles of water in the rooms. The swimming pool and hot tub are extremely small. Ok for small kids. Not sufficient for adults. The fitness centre (room) has 3 treadmills, a stationary bike and a bench with weights, open 24/7. The breakfast was hot and decent. No bacon but lots of sausage and scrambled eggs. It was extremely busy when we were there and tables were limited. The hotel does have quiet hours beginning at 10pm which made it more enjoyable in the evenings. Space is a premium at these new hotels. Next time we will opt to Stay at an older hotel, as new isn’t always better.

My only issue was there was no bath tub in our room

Overall stay was good team is fantastic, rooms are big and clean. But you need to have some sort of limit on the tv volume. Was woken up extremely early to someone a few doors down who had their tv very loud.

The breakfast was good but it was so noisy. The refrigerator is so loud on and off at night and ac as well. It was loud outside from 6am.

The room was as clean and well-equipped as we have come to expect from Holiday Inn Express. The staff was efficient and friendly, particularly the lady who looked after the breakfast lounge. Negatives: The TV channels needed a built-in guide with better selection. And while the bsthroom was spacious and super-clean, the design of the sliding door allowed a big gap.

Enjoyed having breakfast included in our stay, the room was clean. Staff very friendly. We stayed on the first floor and It was quiet however you can hear outside when people walk by and as well as toilets flushing from other units. But it didn’t bother us.

Staff went out of their way to make our stay excellent. The quiet of the hotel was amazing which was exceptional considering they had a full house.

I'm an IHG member. It was fun until the end, but your stay doesn't end until you drive away. Check in guy (glasses) very nice. Room fine. Bed not great, uncomfortable. Never tried breakfast. No lunch or dinner. 24 "store" has only candy and soda--no microwave meals, salads, or sandwiches. Liked tea and apples in lobby. Checkout on the 7th--abysmal. I told the female clerk a large storage bin lid had been left in my room the whole stay and I had fallen over it more than once. I brought it down to give to her. She barely said "I'm sorry" and just laughed. I had just told her I had fallen, and she laughs? I also mentioned that Housekeeping banged very hard on my door about 10 minutes before 11 despite my Do Not Disturb sign. HK very loudly said, "Are you leaving today?" I said yes, but pointed out it was not 11 yet. So tacky. No one had done this in years. It gets worse. She apparently follows me to the Front Desk and jumps in to our conversation to argue (1) it was "4 minutes before 11, not 10" AND "I knocked very softly". Nope--this was "there's a fire" kind of banging. But she wanted to fight, and front desk clerk did not want to help or even accept criticism, so I zipped my mouth and left. You know that moment when you realize no one cares? There are better options coming soon to Wasaga Beach and Collingwood; for now I'd steer you to the Candlewick, based on relatives' reports.

There was a hockey team at the same time as us. Families and parents partying in the hall, nothing done by hotel staff

Staff were extremely helpful with helping my friend who locked her keys in her luggage. Zack was quick to help out of the kindness of his heart, who took the time to get out the toolbox and break the lock. We also had a little incident in our room and requested a bunch of towels - staff were very patient about this as well. I would definitely come to stay here again because of the excellent service and kindness of the staff. The breakfast was also fabulous.

Alex at the front desk was amazing ! Such a pleasant guy to chat with and very helpful to myself and my friend . Got us toothbrushes , extra towels . He really made us feel like our stay was worth the money . Alex fits the roll of the front desk so well!

What did I like? Was able to check in a bit earlier than expected. What I didn't like? After a drive in poor road conditions following a snowstorm, we arrived at the hotel with fast food for my kids—only to realize we had forgotten the ketchup. Hoping to salvage the situation, I asked the night receptionist if I could borrow some ketchup, either in packets or from the breakfast service supplies. I wasn’t asking for room service, just a small favor to make things easier after a long day. Unfortunately, my request was immediately denied, which left a sour impression. As someone who has worked in hotel front desk operations, I’ve always believed in going the extra mile for guests, especially in moments like this. It’s small gestures of hospitality that make a big difference, and I was disappointed not to experience that here.

Staff incredibly friendly and helpful including recommending great restaurants nearby. Clean hotel, brightly lit. Only issue is one of the elevators has a bit of a bump but other than that, all was beautiful.

The young lady who checked us in was excellent. She was very pleasant and informative on local dining options. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Daniella at the buffet breakfast went out of her way to help us. At heckout we were given bottles of water for our drive home. Fantastic and friendly staff!!

Nice hotel. Not a very convenient location. And surrounded by nothing but asphalt. don’t be fooled by the Expedia pics of parks or greenery. None of it, is close to hotel.

Fantastic property. Easy walk downtown but uber is quick if you dont feel like walking. Staff, rooms and breakfast is great here. Will return.

We stayed 2 nights and were very pleased with the friendly service, the clean room, and the lovely breakfast! Very good location for short drives to attractions in Collingwood, but nothing in easy walking distance.

Nice clean hotel . Good location w/ good amenities . Easy ample parking . Bkft std offered each day but limited seating area . Pool and hot tub , both filled with lots of kids so did not use either . Every hotel we stay in allows us to swim in the pool in the morning prior to departure. Many are closed until 9 AM for “Cleaning or checking the. Chemical level levels”. Every hotel makes the exception for my wife who needs to swim and exercise in the water every morning. We are unable to go swimming at 9 AM and are allowed to go in early. This hotel even when we explain the situation would not make an exception. If you plan to use this hotel for swimming in the morning prior to 9 AM do not stay here.

Everything was great from the great customer service at the counter to the nice clean room and the tasty breakfast. Only complaint would be that the heat vent was a bit noisy. We should have asked how to turn it off. Colt was quick to clean up a mess that another customer had made and just left it. Inder, the chef made a great breakfast each morning. We were there for 3 nights and would come back. Thanks for the nice experience!

There was a complete mismanagement at the breakfast table, as they overbooked guests beyond their capacity, leading to significant disappointment.
