This hotel is such a hidden gem! I had no idea it even existed in Collingwood until it popped up in my Expedia search, and I am beyond happy it did. It's a beautiful property with stylish decor and lovely touches like record players and gorgeous glassware in the rooms. The staff are beyond friendly and helpful at all times. You will feel like you are in a glamourous city like Chicago and not in Ontario (not that there is anything wrong with our beautiful Ontario). Do not miss dining at the Tremont Cafe downstairs. I had the pleasure of a dinner there and the menu had the best food I have had in years! Better than dinners out in Toronto I have had lately. The duck confit and eggplant in lemon cream are standouts, and the sticky toffee pudding melts in your mouth! I cannot wait to come back! Thank you.

Enjoyable 4 days. Only 1 small problem getting room tv to work right. Parking was easy. Getting around the downtown was good and most everything we needed was within walking distance of the hotel.

Loved our stay at the Dorchester Hotel. It was clean, spacious, and the location was exactly where we wanted to be to enjoy a little getaway from the city. Check in was very easy, and parking was no issue. Collingwood has very nice dining spots, and the biking trails were nice along the water. Would definitely recommend!

Room was great - super cute, comfortable, well stocked and VERY clean. Very happy with that ! Let the front desk know as well. My only notes would be that I would hear the room next to me talking + the room had a lot of "noises" - HVAC mostly I think - that started and stopped. Great black out curtains but lots of little lights in the room. As a sensitive sleeper they were my only notes.

It was an excellent stay for 2 nights. But the hotel should up their housekeeping service. On the second day, room was not cleaned properly. There was dirt and dust all over the room. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel and friendly staff! That said, there needs to be more soundproofing between the rooms and hallways. You can hear a pin drop in the hallways and we were woken very early and couldn’t get back to sleep from the sounds of hotel staff and people entering rooms.

We stayed in the beautiful 2 queen beds room. The staff made our stay special and were able to accomodate for my partner who was using crutches. The only issue was with the wifi, which dropped at times. But otherwise, would stay here again!

Very nice heritage hotel. Excellent rooms. Reception closes early so there is a chance you never see anyone. TV was poor with only (I think) streaming options with your own PIN. I just wanted to watch the news.

This is a fanatastic boutique hotel. Rooms had warm but modern decor. If you like vinyl records bring some because the room has a record player which is a nice touch. You can’t beat the location since it’s on the main strip. Don’t need room keys because everything is opened by your phone. Full kitchenette with stove and full refrigerator/freezer. Beds were super comfortable and the sheets were nice. Overall place is equipped for long and short stays. Highly recommend.

Beautiful virtually brand new property. Great location walking distance to restaurants. Hotel doesn’t have adequate parking on premises. A bit disappointment is the bed. We had a difficult time sleeping, the mattress sank and woke with sore neck and upper back. My wife had to move in the middle of the night to the couch to sleep. In the morning we took at look at the mattress tag and found it is virtually new. However, it is a very soft mattress, may be okay for people under 150lbs.

We stayed at the Dorchester for 2 nights in October 2024. I’ve never stayed at a hotel that is this difficult to reach, even as a current guest. We tried calling on Friday night to ask some further questions (we were coming to stay the following day) but the phone kept ringing and ringing and we didn’t end up getting through. When we arrived we were provided with an after hours line to call, however guests will likely have to use this line even during regular hours. On Sunday - they were barely at the front desk. Later, tried calling the front desk at 6 pm (within the hours of their front desk service) but we never got through. Went to the front desk but no one was there. Had to call after hours line even though it wasn’t after hours. They picked up and said that no one was at the hotel, and that it would take at least an hour to get us a replacement tissue box and a paper towel roll because no staff were on site.

Great hotel. Retro cool room. Realitybis better than the photos. Excellent restaurant (on their tv over the bar, I wish they kept the classic B&W movie playing versus switching over to a live football game, which diminished the vibe). Delicious food. Excellent service. What a find!

They have not figured out the relationship with the Tremont Cafe which is situated in the lobby. It has a beautiful bar but they are not welcoming of hotel guests and have an arrogant attitude if you have not booked to enter. As a hotel bar, they should be welcoming or at least friendly when they tell you you can’t come in.
