Would stay again. Lots of places to visit!in walking distance. Close to Spanish steps. Great morning breakfast at a small additional cost. Staff was helpful. Get your guide had great tour guides that were in close proximity to this location. Pharmacy is on the corner as well. Room was great. Nice window overlooking the streets to get that Italy feel. Elevator was small small but did the job. I would definitely recommend.

The location is perfect. Walking distance to many of the popular places and many dinning options all around. Only issue we had was the AC not working. We told the room attendant who stated they were waiting on a tech. I asked for another room the next day. No issue after that as the heat in August is insane. The second room was much roomier but lacked a closet so we lived off our luggage for 4 days. Not ideal.

the Annex building is several blocks away and the porter takes you there while walking in the street- while it is a charming roman atmosphere, it is definitely not luxury. additionally, after checking in, if you stay at the annex building, you have no contact with any hotel personnel.

Hotel was in an excellent location for historical sites and high end shopping and restaurants. Service was friendly and the breakfast was great. Only complaint is the WiFi did not work at all if your room is on an upper floor and we had to sit in the lobby to get access.

We stayed in a superior room and it was very spacious. Staff were very helpful and kind. The room was spotless. The only minor hiccup was having to pay the city tax in cash, my fault! Should’ve checked! And it’s now made me aware that I need cash when travelling ;) Great stay! So close to everything, bars and restaurants are great around the hotel. Thank you!!

The week prior we stayed in the Annex building and the hallways were clean. This week we stayed in the main building. The hallway carpets were so dirty on the 5th floor. Our room was supposed of be a deluxe room but there was nothing deluxe about the room. Only the washroom. The main building needs a major overhaul in hallways. . The carpet is not good for Any one who has environmental allergies. I would say dust mites are all over the carpet. Please forward this comment to the management.

After booking on Expedia A nonrefundable night I decided to look online and had terrible reviews. I got to the hotel and was offered an upgrade for 30euros for a better room. So I took it. Let’s begin w the slow tiny elevator. Ended up using the stairs up and down the 4th floor. Room was dirty. When I requested a room change they advised the hotel was full. When I requested a refund so I can go book another hotel they said I needed to speak with the manager but that he wasn’t in until next morning. So I showed up the morning I was checking out. Manager now doesn’t work mornings only afternoon. There was nobody to help me find a solution to my problem and they weren’t nice about it. I left very disappointed and nobody solved my issues. Breakfast was terrible. Lack of food choices and food was just very low quality. Do not stay here

Worst hotel I've stayed at. First in foremost, I was practically eaten alive from bed bugs which the management seemed to not care about at all. Secondly, the walls are paper thin so you can hear the guy snoring 4 rooms over and every conversation in between. The bathroom fan did not work and we had no hot water from the sink. Not to mention, you get led through the city on a 3 minute walk only to be abandoned at the elevator inside the building to find your room. You're given a sheet with the access codes and a phone number for issues. But you can text them using "Whatsapp" which I don't have or intend to get. If you call you just get sent to voicemail. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this poor excuse for a hotel.

The hotel staff was so kind and amazing but the property itself is riddled with mold. I had to move rooms 3xs and finally gave up with the last room having the shower with rotted moldy wood which was better then the air conditioning units in the other 2 rooms and hallway. I have a very serious mold allergy which made it hard to breathe for me. I slept with the windows open and would caution anyone with these allergies to find another hotel for the safety of their help. The staff though did what they could to and listened to my concerns but there is nothing you can do when mold is growing out of the units in the hotel. You can’t stuff clean off a moldy fruit and serve it guests hoping it will make it better and they won’t get sick. It’s disappointing given the amount I paid to stay there at the hotel and would not ever be able to stay at this property again.

Hotel is in a great location, was happy to be upgraded to a suite which was nice. The room was large and modern. Hotel is noisy with other guests but we are in the city so expected. Would stay again.

The property location was great! Very central to all things Roma... Biggest issue was the soundproofing of the rooms. Our neighbors were quite noisy and the walls were like paper.

We had a deluxe room and the room had 2 windows and 2 little balcony’s at the 5th floor. We had the most marvelous view from there. All was fresh and clean, a beautiful bathroom too. They served a good breakfast and they had a gluten-free alternative which made me happy. Very kind and friendly staff too. The only minus was the hard beds. I’ll recommend it to anyone.

Was put in Annex building and room was very clean. Housekeeping was very quick. We would leave for and hour and it was already down by the time we came back. Shower is small and the shower head it a wand style that you need to hold. If you keep it in the holder it doesn’t go directly overhead and doesn’t get whole body. Terrible WiFi connection. Could only connect in bathroom. For a small room WiFi didn’t even reach the bed. I wasn’t able to lay down and go on my phone to research or map stores/restaurants/sightseeing. Would not recommend due to WiFi connection.

Det ligger dejligt centralt og man kan gå til det meste. Hotellet lever ikke helt op til billederne på hotels.com(de ser for nye ud), dog vil jeg så sige at det var fint. Er man ikke til en meget hård seng skal man vælge et andet hotel.

Our stay was fantastic. Hotel 55 sits directly on Via Del Corsa, one of the main walking streets in old Rome. All of the main sight seeing sites are within walking distance. Hotel 55 staff are great. Providing help with taxis, attractions etc. Edwin the bar tender rocks! We will stay there again next time we’re in Rome Ciao!

Glenn and Mike were both fantastic at breakfast. Glenn was full of sights and information, and Mike was just spot on pleasant. On our last day after check-out, Fredrico stood with us in the rain until we got a cab to the airport. It was a wonderful stay!

Stayed for 5 nights in Rome and had a pleasant experience at the hotel, the staff was incredible, any issue would be promptly addressed. If you looking for a place that is walking distance to many interesting points in the city, restaurants and shops I would definitely recommend. Overall great experience.

Consider the following. We booked our room several months before our trip. When we arrived to check in, they had us walk with our bags a quarter of a mile to the overflow hotel. It was a hotel composed of several other hotels in one building. That was somewhat of a red flag but the least of our worries. The hallways and rooms had an odor that wasn’t great. The bathroom had these little grey stonefish-like bugs that kept appearing. The hotel also failed to inform us that the street below would undergo construction every night from 9:30pm to nearly 3:00am! Jackhammers, dump trucks and loud workers. We hardly slept the entire time. When we complained about the noise they told us that we could switch rooms for the final night. It wasn’t worth it because you can tell everyone in the building no matter where they stayed were affected by the noise. The housekeeping and breakfast staff were very nice but the people at the main building were very short and unhelpful. Beware if you plan on picking this hotel.

Don’t ever book this hotel. The staff here is rude and unhelpful and know nothing about customer service. Booking this place was the worst mistake I made for my trip to Rome. There are a hundred vastly better hotels with staff who care about their customers and are interested in providing good service instead of trying to rip customers of. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL.

Thank you for a perfect stay during our first trip to Rome! The hotel was perfect in size, cleanliness, and amenities. The staff was kind and helpful. The location is PERFECT !!! Walking distance to so much. The area is safe and quiet at night.

This property is located in the heart of everything. 5 min walk to Spanish steps, 5 min walk to the fountain. Even the coliseum is a quick walk and easy straight walk. Restaurants and shopping all around and the area is very lively. The breakfast included was a great add on.

Great location. 10 mins walk to the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Novona, Spanish Steps and the Pantheon. Colloseum and the Vatican were 30 mins walk away. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Train station was a short distance away - taxi cost approx €8. Highly recommend this hotel.

Great property wirh great staff! If it had a pool I would have rated it a 5 easily. Walking distance from the spanish steps, Treci Fountain, Villa Borghese. We also managed to walk to and from the coliseum as well. We had the breakfast included and was really good. Juices cereals eggs , thw works!
